We all have differences in fiqh so why does Shamsi think he has the god given right to force his understanding to others like Essa who had a different opinion? What Shamsi done is haram as it fits with what the Prophet said about not speaking Ill of the dead. So anyone in Shamsi’s little congregation that steps out of line and has a valid but opposing view should now realise that when you die, you’ll be dishonoured and spoken about as if you were less of a Muslim than them

Brother Essa’s death tells us all about the person he was. He passed away in the last 10 days of Ramadan, and the cause was covid. So he was a shaheed who passed away in Ramadan. If it was in the day time he was probably fasting as well. Subhanallah What a way to leave this world. It is a hadith of our beloved prophet (S.A.W) that a person will die the way he lived. It's ridiculous, even Surah Jinn verse 11 fits perfectly "There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups having different ways (religious sects)." I came across this verse yesterday and look at such a perfect example of this verse, it's hard for Muslims like us who are trying to learn about Islam, then you have the risk of getting involved with the whole sectarian bullshit and this whole group of people who keep dividing the Muslims.

I've defended Shamsi in the past even though he doesn't require any of us to do so. He died in Ramadan, he has achieved a status of someone higher than a martyr, he's passing away in Ramadan has a status higher than a shaheed. Also, he passed away in Ramadan, that's enough said. Hadith No: 3925 Narrated/Authority of Talhah bin Ubaidullah Listed in: The Chapters on the Interpretation of Dreams that two men from Bali came to the Messenger of Allah (saw). They had become Muslim together, but one of them used to strive harder than the other. The one who used to strive harder went out to fight and was martyred. The other one stayed for a year longer, then he passed away. Talhah said: "I saw in a dream that I was at the gate of Paradise and I saw them (those two men). Someone came out of Paradise and admitted the one who had died last, then he came out and admitted the one who had been martyred. Then he came back to me and said: 'Go back, for your time has not yet come.'" The next morning, Talhah told the people of that and they were amazed. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah (saw) and they told him the story. He said: "Why are you so amazed at that?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah, the first one was the one who strove harder, then he was martyred, but the other one was admitted to Paradise before him. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Did he not stay behind for a year?" They said: "Yes." He said: "And did not Ramadan come and he fasted, and he offered such and such prayers during that year?" They said: "Yes." The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "The difference between them is greater than the difference between heaven and earth."
That is not the case. Rather what this means is that the gates of Paradise are opened to encourage people to strive hard, so that they can enter it, and that the gates of Hell are closed, so as to encourage the believers to refrain from sin, so that they will not go through these gates. That does not mean that the one who dies in Ramadan will enter Paradise without being brought to account; rather those who will enter Paradise without being brought to account are those whom the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) described when he said: “They are the ones who do not ask others to perform ruqyah for them, or believe in omens, or use cautery, and they put their trust in their Lord”, in addition to their doing the righteous deeds that are enjoined upon them. No one knows when will a person die. and it is too late to address a living individual public mistake when the person has died already, death will always be unexpected. How could someone wait for a person to die just to point out their mistake? That sounds absurd because the waiting person could be the one dying before the other one too by an unexpected possibility. If there is a public mistake of a Muslim person that he or she has not clarified before they died, then someone has to do the job for them so the people will not unknowingly follow the mistaken advice. People following the advice of a deceased brother can affect the deceased deeds. Just like how a Muslim person who built the mosque but then died, for every person that goes to the mosque, prays in the mosque, performs the Ramadan, and reads Quran in the Mosque which the deceased person has built. Indeed that will be his ongoing charity even if he has died. Passing of the deceased's correct Islamic knowledge is also an ongoing charity.

We all have differences in fiqh so why does Shamsi think he has the god given right to force his understanding to others like Essa who had a different opinion? What Shamsi done is haram as it fits with what the Prophet said about not speaking Ill of the dead. So anyone in Shamsi’s little congregation that steps out of line and has a valid but opposing view should now realise that when you die, you’ll be dishonoured and spoken about as if you were less of a Muslim than them

Shamsi has publicly spoken about brother Essa and if anyone is going to reply to his claims then it should in public too. Brother Essa’s death tells us all about the person he was. He passed away in the last 10 days of Ramadan, and the cause was covid. So he was a shaheed who passed away in Ramadan. If it was in the day time he was probably fasting as well. Subhanallah What a way to leave this world. It is a hadith of our beloved prophet (S.A.W) that a person will die the way he lived. And he will be resurrected the way he died. Brother essa إن شاء الله will be amongst the special friends of Allah and إن شاء الله he will not be questioned on the day of judgement

Narrated/Authority of Talhah bin Ubaidullah
Listed in: The Chapters on the Interpretation of Dreams
that two men from Bali came to the Messenger of Allah (saw). They had become Muslim together, but one of them used to strive harder than the other. The one who used to strive harder went out to fight and was martyred. The other one stayed for a year longer, then he passed away. Talhah said: "I saw in a dream that I was at the gate of Paradise and I saw them (those two men). Someone came out of Paradise and admitted the one who had died last, then he came out and admitted the one who had been martyred. Then he came back to me and said: 'Go back, for your time has not yet come.'" The next morning, Talhah told the people of that and they were amazed. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah (saw) and they told him the story. He said: "Why are you so amazed at that?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah, the first one was the one who strove harder, then he was martyred, but the other one was admitted to Paradise before him. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Did he not stay behind for a year?" They said: "Yes." He said: "And did not Ramadan come and he fasted, and he offered such and such prayers during that year?" They said: "Yes." The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "The difference between them is greater than the difference between heaven and earth."

Rather what this means is that the gates of Paradise are opened to encourage people to strive hard, so that they can enter it, and that the gates of Hell are closed, so as to encourage the believers to refrain from sin, so that they will not go through these gates. That does not mean that the one who dies in Ramadan will enter Paradise without being brought to account; rather those who will enter Paradise without being brought to account are those whom the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) described when he said: “They are the ones who do not ask others to perform ruqyah for them, or believe in omens, or use cautery, and they put their trust in their Lord”, in addition to their doing the righteous deeds that are enjoined upon them. End quote.

No one knows when will a person die. and it is too late to address a living individual public mistake when the person has died already, death will always be unexpected. How could someone wait for a person to die just to point out their mistake? That sounds absurd because the waiting person could be the one dying before the other one too by an unexpected possibility. If there is a public mistake of a Muslim person that he or she has not clarified before they died, then someone has to do the job for them so the people will not unknowingly follow the mistaken advice. People following the advice of a deceased brother can affect the deceased deeds. Just like how a Muslim person who built the mosque but then died, for every person that goes to the mosque, prays in the mosque, performs the Ramadan, and reads Quran in the Mosque which the deceased person has built. Indeed that will be his ongoing charity even if he has died. Passing of the deceased's correct Islamic knowledge is also an ongoing charity.

Once I went to Medina where there was an outbreak of disease and the people were dying rapidly. I was sitting with `Umar and a funeral procession passed by. The people praised the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed" (Paradise). Then another funeral procession passed by. The people praised the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed." (Paradise). Then another funeral procession passed by. The people praised the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed (Paradise)." Then a third funeral procession passed by and the people talked badly of the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed (Hell)." I asked `Umar, "O chief of the believers! What has been affirmed?" He said, "I have said what the Prophet (ﷺ) said. He said, 'Allah will admit into paradise any Muslim whose good character is attested by four persons.' We asked the Prophet, 'If there were three witnesses only?' He said, 'Even three.' We asked, 'If there were two only?' He said, 'Even two.' But we did not ask him about one witness." (Sahih Bukhari 2643)
So many attest to the good character of brother Eesa (may Allah have mercy on him) and praise him. I think thousands attest to his amazing character. SuhhanAllah.

That was extremt low of him. How can he say i have to speak the truth when some one died in a bad way of someone who beleives allahs one and the allahs messenger mohammed. Just thats if enough to talk good about that person when he or she die.
