I agree. I’m a huge dead head and phish fan, lover of classic rock, progressive rock and I love older rap (some new);never thought this would hit all those parts in my body like it does. Dead south really is one of a kind. There’s such grit and emotion throughout their songs. Old folk country music and southern banjo music like this, hits me on a different level now. feels more real and personal than most country music these days. There’s a powerful message to be told

I think the part of this music i love the most is the fact that all of these guys feed off each other. every time i listen to this vod I hear more and more i didn't hear last time. says alot when you just love to play and obvious they want to make money, but that is like not even on the radar its more of just the love of the craft and that says alot. Hard these days to find people that really just enjoy playing live style music every thing is so over machined these days. The feels from the deep parts, the raspy parts, the different parts of the voices layers are perfect for the instruments they play. maybe one day we will here a banjo singing song :)
I got to see them at The Fillmore in Silver Spring last Saturday nite! Y’all were awesome! My legs hurt from dancing for hours during Danny Olliver, The Legendary Shack Shakers and of course Dead South. Colton is so damn cute! He just picks away all during the show and flashes this sh*t eating grin every now and then. I can’t wait to see y’all again!

My best accidental discovery as well, I'm from Louisiana but recently moved to the Appalachian region, western PA specifically. So those band scratches ALL my itches, wish I didn't go from 6 to midnight everytime I hear the music hit on Down That Road...headbangong worthy stuff
