Yeah. Totally agree with this. 1. Always check the balance of both your LABORERS, and BUILDERS to your work-able population. Your city will die if you have shortage with these two. 2. Making spaces for decorations in housing areas - Yeah, definitely. Have wells/parks/garden/market/church/healer near the houses will increase desirability.
I play fast and loose and always have a shortage of just about everything and my city doesn't die. There are many ways to play the game and make it work.
Some other tips. - defence hits harder from higher ground. - build fences arround your farmland so wildlife wont eat from it. - when flattening land. Do lanes of 1x(the Max you wanna flatten). Workers Will finnish way faster doing this. (Keep 1 lane between the ones you are flattening.)
Yep, and completely ruin the experience of learning the game themselves. The whole point is to figure things out until you can beat it. To each their own, but to get a game and just play it the same way somebody else did with everything figured out just seems kind of lame. At least beat the game yourself first, then go looking for new ways to change it up.
Sounds like an old bug that has been there before. Someome once said that their problem was fixed by switching off the autofill for professions and then manually placing them in
Thanks for the excellent tips. I've always re-started before tier three (only played a few times). This time, I'm cramming shelters together, with a few decorations and services to boost the desirability. I get as much tax as possible, and it's just desirable enough to begin upgrading shelters to houses.. Later, I'll relocate clumps of houses and thin some out, to add more decorations etc. I'm hoping the cost of later relocations is less than the extra I gained from starting with dense housing.
Glad it helped😄 It was the same with me at the beginning... felt like such a mission to get the desirability up... And yes, you get way more tax with higher tier houses! With that being said, you also have to make sure their needs are met. Then you can do what you said. Open up spaces at random spots to increase desirability.
Good video but these thumbnails are getting out of hand lol. If I was you id do it to it's just annoying that's what people have to do to get the algorithm to help them out. That being said this game looks sick thanks for the vid
@@MASTAHMELO thanks man! The game is really good and full version is releasing soon so get it while the price is still good😉 I try not to be cryptic with the thumbnail, it does clearly state what it is about, but yes, you have to make the thumbnail look a certain way otherwise no one clicks, trust me, I've tried many different approaches...
When you scroll over damaged buildings info bar, you will see which resources you require. Tools make everything more efficient, even repairing. It is needed for laborers mining stone outside of work camp, but not for repairing building.
I ran a city once for many cycles without any tools and did fine, so tools are not a MUST HAVE, but they are preferable in the grand scheme because they speed things up.
I don't know why people don't spend time figuring out stuff themselves and learning the game, it's the whole point of playing the game, to learn it and master it. But they try one time and then go looking for solutions to literally play the whole game. Once they learn the game and have successfully beat it several times, then go looking for ways to change it up and see how others are playing.
@@marcuslinton310 i personally like videos like these... many times I play games for hundreds of hours and still learn new things after all that time, but each to their own hey😉👍
The point of the game is to build a functioning settlement. Not everyone has the time to spend tens of hours learning the game and restart it dozens of times.
Just starting to play this game and having fun, but it's very challenging. Thank you for the tips!
You're right, it is quite challenging, but that also makes it fun😊 Glad to help!
Great video, serious thank you for the tips :D . Have now subscribed :)

Isn't learning games the hard way half the fun?
My farmers all idle every year, until i save reload. Does anyone knows how to fix that?

YOU MUST HAVE TOOLS AND RESOURCES. RESOURCES ALONE WITHOUT TOOLS AND YOUR CITY IS DEAD AND PEOPLE WILL MOVE OUT.
