Hell yeah it’s worth it. Bought this bad boy a few months ago new and it’s barely left my wrist. If you an old soul and appreciate the past but want to live in the present, this is the watch to end all watches. Wife loves it as well. Winner

Love seeing a watch like this actually used and not babied. I frankly think it looks better with some wear, adds to the aesthetic Tudor was trying to achieve in the first place. Big fan!

You probably haven’t owned a Rolex judging by you asking why. When you find a Rolex that’s right for you, and you buy it, yes the amount of money on your wrist does intrude the mind BUT you can’t get away from how incredible it looks on the wrist. Nothing else is the same level of craftsmanship. Some come close, but none match it at that budget.

I’d have to agree about there being a benefit to buying this level of watch in this kind of shape. No fear of putting those first “beauty” marks on it can go a long ways in actually enjoying its wearability!

Beautiful watch and I love Tudor and maybe I’m in the minority but I really prefer snowflake hands over the Mercedes style of Rolex.
Black bay 58 is a fantastic watch however for me could I buy a premium watch in that scratched condition for the discount no way.
Premium watch I will always buy as new and in ‘mint condition’. That’s just me and I accept everyone has different views to this.

I have this watch for 4 months now. The more you wear it the more you appreciate this Tudor Blackbay 58. The time keeping is fantastic for a mechanical movement. Gaining one second a day. Which is good enough for me. As you say you either love or hate the snowflake hands. The fact I had to wait three months to get this watch from an AD suggests there is a lot of people who love the watch face. If you hate it there are lots of other Brands out there

Never apologise for having scratches on a tool watch. Love seeing dive watches that are actually used, and not babied. Whenever I see a pristine dive or sports watch that's over year old, you know the owner is afraid to use the watch for intended purpose.

Tudor does make nice watches. I just wish they would use the glide lock for adjusting the watch. 8 weeks to get one is a lot better than years for waiting for some Rolex models if ever. Right now I am broke, so I can't buy any watches now. Always like to see this channel as you show a variety of watches. Microbrands, interesting and modded Seikos, and some Swiss watches as well.

    • @jpflo698

I have a Pelagos and the micro-adjustment on the bracelet is excellent. Just as good as the Rolex Glidelock, imho. Tudor should use the same mechanism on all their bracelets.

Agreed this looks best on a fabric strap. I bought mine on the leather strap (also nice) because the AD had one in stock and I didn't want to pass by the opportunity. I'd intended to buy the bracelet separately but now I don't think I'll bother. Lovely watch - I've had mine a month and I'm happy. So wearable, so usable, so good-looking in an understated way.

mm is a good watch, i love the look and the quality of case, dial and hands. they are so detailed. however i sold mine (sbdx001) after owning it for about 3 years because it didn't really get much wrist time. I think it was too tall and heavy for me. I compared mine with my brother's bb eta, the quality of mm is slightly better in my opinion but the proportion isn't the best on my wrist. I have a wrist below 7" so that would be my weakness too not the watch itself.

Agreed on your comments on the hands. Whether ppl like the snowflake or not (I personally think it looks nice and separates Tudor just like the Mercedes hand is iconic to Rolex), it would be far worse to start changing hand design from model-to-model. An incoherent trail of designs throughout a catalog is death to a brand and for good reason. The hands are key to the design.

It is a beautiful watch. The rational side of my brain says buy this watch, but then I tried on the Bremont S301BK/R model. I know it doesn't have an inhouse movement or the history and connection to Rolex, but that is not necessary a bad thing for me when thinking of future maintenance. I would only really consider the Bremont used and if it was significantly less than the Tudor.

Then I commented on a youtube video about this a few weeks ago and was contacted directly by a UK AD who has one in stock on the leather strap. Must be a cancelled order but why they would bother with me when they could have put it in their window and sold it withing 48 hours I don't know. So I get my new BB58 this coming week and am really looking forward to it. It will rotate on the wrist with my Rolex Explorer 214270 (2019). Nice video and thanks.

No you don't because it has an in house movement which means more service costs, ETA movements costs you less and every watchmaker has parts for it.

great video. I think the scratched up one is the way to go. No stress at all about using it and getting a few more scratches. I think I'm going to have to sell a couple of my Doxa to finance one of these.

They aren't really the same watch at all but I'd take the op39 over it all day.

Well the bb58 is for sale and the op39 will never be sold. So I kinda am on board with ya.

I like Tudor and have the Blackbay with the wine bezel. (I have a video about it on my channel) Anyway, I just wanted to say I love that green strap. Where can I get one from for my Submariner?

Why a 58 and not a normal black bay?

I was between this watch and the tudor style 12710-0013. I chose the tudor style. I think too many people has this watch. I will buy a seiko skx 009k2 instead.
