Jezz - TDR is dual watch/frequency and the S on screen means it is switched on. This is just a guess but if the radio is not widebanded and TDR is on, is it that you are trying to TX out of band? Have you put both VFOs in a ham band and tried

Have you tried harsh language, I find it helps in these matters. You probably won't fix the issue, but you'll feel a whole lot better about it.

Have you tried checking the channels in chirp to make sure that Duplex isn't off. When set as "off" it can engage a "transmit inhibit mode".
None is fine as is full or half.

Hi Jezz, is there somewhere in the menu of this HT to switch on and off a tx lock some HT's share this function with the keypad lock.
Is there something in Chirp to toggle TX to "off"?
Tried that made sure the uhf/vhf options were ticked

Not trying to tx out band and also tried both vfo in ham band
Same problem hope to find a solution
Think i may of found a fix ill do a video on it
If you do the button press correctly (which I did not see) the radio will turn on and say "factory" so, yeah. Try again thumbs.
