This is a great wok, Pete. Can't wait to see the good use of it in your next video. Perhaps you may also need a cover for that though. Oh well, it depends what you are cooking I guess, no big deal. Great job to Richard as well 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Thank you so much for the mention and your kind words Pete ❤️ I really enjoyed this video. I love the fact you and Richard made it!! So cool! Cant wait to see you cook on it :)
Thanks Taste of Trini! All I need now is a cooker big and hot enough to work well with it. Elijah's square sennit is my everyday key fob now 😀 When someone gives a gift of their skill and time, it means a lot to me.
I love seeing people make their own cooking equipment! You may need to make a small UDS (Ugly Drum Smoker) if you can find a metal drum small enough. It could generate the heat needed to use that bad boy without breaking the bank! 👍👍
Now that is a beast Pete, holy crap! There will be some awesome stir fry's happening in that. And, Elijah said thanks for his mention and you are welcome. Loves xxxx
Thanks Emma, the square sennit is now my everyday carry key fob! I'm so pleased with it. There's no better gift than that of invested time and skill, I really appreciate it and I will cherish it always. Richard too. 😀
Uncle Pete this is lovely..I wonder if a choula. . would work for this ..or maybe your next project would be making a New stove for this wonderful wok .
I think a large choulha would be perfect Wendy. I will probably use propane because it is handy and burns very hot; the discada is very thick and will need some good heat to penetrate. I think a fireside is a project for next spring though.
Uncle Pete another educational video thanks to uncle Richard for building this. I thought maybe you got jealous of bats fried rice pot and made your own. Oh how i wish uncle Richard was in trinidad to get him to build one for me. I love your backyard.
Now you know how to make one. I don't think there is any profit in me making them for sale; I would have to charge about £120 just to break even on materials and time, unless a friendly farmer let me have a few old disc blades.
Nice work. Being from the Texas/Mexico I can say they call this implement a disco. The dish you make (and the party you throw when you cook in it) is called a discada.
The ground cover is Welsh blue slate chips, medium size. This discada was too big so we converted it into a fire bowl brazier: ruclips.net/video/o6_a670Q1HQ/видео.html
You have an unnecessarily large tool, Pete. That wok is huge. Its been a pretty dry few days on this part of RUclips - no uploads from you nor Marks ReMarks or Chris the Butcher etc. I've resorted to staring at the sun. I see you're leaving Trinidad behind and moving onto some different video topics - perhaps do a month on KFC/McDonalds vlog or a month on canned food. Just a suggestion, Pete.
Sorry, Pete, I've recently found out in the last few minutes that I am some form of buffoon - the reason I thought CTB hadn't uploaded recently was because I turned off notifications from him and unsubbed, which I have no recollection of doing.
I don't mind KFC but as for McDonalds, it's only nutritious when served with food. I still have a Trini video in the can, but I'm saving it for a week or so. I like canned tomatoes and canned beans, but I'm no fan of any kind of convenience food really.
I prefer McDonalds over KFC actually, and you'll probably find they buy from the same suppliers in some cases. The fries in McDonalds are much nicer than KFC and I usually add three sachets of salt to a large fries and I usually buy 2 large fries if I ever go to McDonalds. It's nice enough, and the chicken selects are very good too. But I don't go often.
I'll be on holiday in a few days anyway, so McDonalds wont be anywhere near my radar! I'll be dining in the finest restaurants of Italy (and then I'll come home two weeks later and realise how crap the food I usually eat is ;)
It is very rare to find lead in steel, even less so in steel used for agriculture like this disc harrow blade. I very much doubt it. Valid question though.
This is a great wok, Pete. Can't wait to see the good use of it in your next video. Perhaps you may also need a cover for that though. Oh well, it depends what you are cooking I guess, no big deal. Great job to Richard as well 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Thanks Fiona! I hadn't thought about a lid for it 😆 Richard did a great job!
Great video sir ji.. What about ur channel monetization?? Have a great day.. 🙂🙂🙂

Great job uncles!! This looks amazing. Can't wait to see it in use. Awesome work, Elijah!
Thanks Taste of Trini! All I need now is a cooker big and hot enough to work well with it. Elijah's square sennit is my everyday key fob now 😀 When someone gives a gift of their skill and time, it means a lot to me.
Thats amazing they call here in Hongkong “wok” but its more deeper 👍👍thumbs from me Brod 😊
Thank you Liza jazz Kitchen!
Do you need. Oxygen to breeding sorry to ask
I'm sorry but I don't understand your question.
That's a big Wok... but I guess when your feeding cowboys, you need a BIG WOK.
Thank you Mudnut59! It's a bit too big for everyday use, but it's great for large gatherings.
Is there anything you can't do Pete ? You're a good cook, a good photographer, a handy man, a good teacher.... Very nice ! FV and big like 42 !!-
I'm not a good baker, I can only bake pies Dominique 😆 my sister is an excellent baker.
FYI
Is “mexican disco”
Discada is what you kook on the disco (discada is food cooked on the disco)
Great video
Thanks for the info 😀
Pete Thomas
No problem ....keep going
Such a helpful video thanks for sharing this with us 😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
You're welcome Nalani, thanks for your support!
Wow nice project Pete!👏👏👏 It looks good to heat up tortillas. LIKED.
I'm looking forward to some fun cook ups on this Karla!
I love seeing people make their own cooking equipment! You may need to make a small UDS (Ugly Drum Smoker) if you can find a metal drum small enough. It could generate the heat needed to use that bad boy without breaking the bank! 👍👍
I have ordered a brazier so I can wood fire it. I'll see how that works and improvise if necessary.
Oh man i wish i lived near buy... Id come buy ☝ one😁🙌❤❤
I have a lot of work to do seasoning that big old wok now 😆 Thanks for your continued support, it is much appreciated!

Thanks Veshmah! I could never match the awesome al fresco cooking skills of Batman, but stir frying is really up my street!
X i would love to get my hands on one of those wok's, looks like some real outdoors cooking videos coming up.
How does one cook outdoors? Where do you plug the microwave in ;)
In the stream, or anywhere with a current Andrew 😆
Now you know how to make one. I don't think there is any profit in me making them for sale; I would have to charge about £120 just to break even on materials and time, unless a friendly farmer let me have a few old disc blades.
Pete, that's frankly a rather poor joke ;)
My bad 😆
Nice work. Being from the Texas/Mexico I can say they call this implement a disco. The dish you make (and the party you throw when you cook in it) is called a discada.
Thanks for the clarification Chuck 😊
Congratulations pete ji
Thank you Malkania Kitchen!
Whoa, Pete! When you say you make homemade food, you start from the absolute beginning! :) That looks great!
Thanks Patrick, my next job starts by rubbing two sticks together 😆
👍 Missed a lot of good stuff on your channel since a month, Amazing job you guys did here!😃
No worries The Gourmet Gambit, many thanks for your continued support!
Pete,
That is the mother of all woks. You could cook a batch of fried rice for 15 hungry people. Great demo for welding it together. Have a great day.
Thanks Carol! My problem is finding a cooker big enough and hot enough to put under it 😆
wow very helpful video
Thank you Cooking Passion!
Lovely wok uncle Pete... great job uncle Richard... can’t wait to see some stir fry
Thanks! Sounds like I better get busy with a sequel then Resa! 😆
That would be great for a Weber Kettle with a 'Vortex' underneath. Great job!
I'll probably use propane for the heat Nigel, because that steel is thick at the bottom of the discada.
You are a multi-talent man Pete! How you can make your own wok, this is really cool! Im looking forward to see you cook with this cowboy wok! 👍👍👍
My brother Richard is the one with the engineering skill, we learned how to build one from RUclips videos.
Pete Thomas yes the video really cool! I love it!
Just letting you know, I am going to "steal" your idea using horse shoes for handles.
Do it. I stole the idea too 😆
Happy Wednesday Uncle Pete! Nice project uncle Pete! XXOO
I really appreciate your support Sandra, thank you! Have a blessed week 😀
You Welcome!
Yes great job With the key ring
Yeah I love it!
That things is a monster. Mine is 22 inches and I think it’s already a good size
Yes John it's huge. We ended up converting it into a garden fire bowl: ruclips.net/video/o6_a670Q1HQ/видео.html Thanks for your interest.
Hey Pete, what is that ground cover you have called,I'm wanting to get rid of my grass on backyard, I have a discada and I love it.
The ground cover is Welsh blue slate chips, medium size. This discada was too big so we converted it into a fire bowl brazier: ruclips.net/video/o6_a670Q1HQ/видео.html
Good idea,,can't let it go to waste
excellent .. but in méxico we don't call it discada.. we call it disco
Thanks for the info! I have converted this into a fire bowl now: ruclips.net/video/o6_a670Q1HQ/видео.html

I'm the oldest by just under two years Andrew.
Me too, I'm the eldest by two years.
I don't know why I told you that, nobody actually asked.

Careful of the Salt Police Andrew, enjoyment is not an option with food fascists.
👍👍👍
Thanks Mike.
I have a question: Do you know if the disk has lead in the steel? If it does, it may now be safe.
It is very rare to find lead in steel, even less so in steel used for agriculture like this disc harrow blade. I very much doubt it. Valid question though.
I have since converted this to a fire bowl brazier: ruclips.net/video/o6_a670Q1HQ/видео.html
