because it takes three people, just incase you missed one....
Literally our whole population fits in Tokyo. The same population, but one is crammed into a size millions of kilometers smaller than the other. It's crazy how much space humans take up.
Do Australian state flags?
William J Scott III they're super obvious though
@@alexbattaglia8297 How are they super obvious
@@invalidcrazy7034 All of them are just symbols charged on a Blue Ensign, except the Northern Territory and the Capital. It'd be like trying to explain each flag of US states, when a lot of them are just seals on a blue flag.
ok
It's a common mistake, but for anyone reading it's pronounced New fin Land rather than New Fin Lind
Acidic Dingo no.
where you from cause i bet it's not NEW-FIN-LAND & LAB-ER-DOOR
jack arss actually I am from Newfoundland
Acidic Dingo If so do you know what gander is?
Gander is a town in NL that is best known for its airport. It used to be one of the biggest airports in the world.
great video I always enjoy seeing people educate others on canadian culture, probably way too late to put this out there the stone monument you mentioned in nunavut's flag would be called an inukshuk (pronounced in-ook-shook) it has many meanings such as balanced, cooperations, however some cases it was used as a marker for people to find their way.
OH MY GOD YOUR PRONUNCIATION OF NUNAVUT ITS PRONOUNCED nun-a-voht but like kinda fast like nunavoht
Yeah ikr i cringed so hard
Theres different ways to pronounce things its like Nevada and nevoda
And then he calls Nunavut a province rather than a territory...
Joe Kahana Who tf fuck says ne-vo-da??
Sorry where are you from? It is pronounced like Noo-nuh-Voot.
Still waiting for that video on the state flags that just have their seal.
They're on "Cody's list of shame" so I doubt they're getting their own video
+Vectored Thrust he could do a video on just flags on cody's list of shame.
In manitoba,
"The union jack sits in the right corner"
*is in top left corner*
breh
I had to learn all of this in school when i was younger because i had to do a project that included info on every single flag and crest.. yeah... that was fun...
Why does every good youtuber (CGPgrey, brady, GeographyNow, Artifaxian, GeographyHub, everyone) seem to like flags? I don't hate them or anything, but why flags?
dunno, you seem to get hooked on them like drugs, becomes an addiction.
I know from experience
The symbolism. i find them interesting, myself.
Himura Kenshin But why flags? why not the national anthem or the national animal?
Huntracony national anthems can't look pretty like flags
ThatGuyS1eepy They can sound pretty... oh wait, they never are.
Please please please pronounce NewFoundLand right
And Nunavut
Your pronouncing it wrong as a Newfie I take this seriously
Samuel Cameron it's pronounced new-fin-land but a lot say new-find-lind and some pronounce it as it it spelled.....
Aye almost as if we are New Finland lmao instead of Newfoundland.
No, it's prounounced new-found-land
yeah its New-found-land, but in many situations it is awkward and sounds wrong to say it that way, naturally when said by people that actually live here its New-fun/fin-Land, but never finland.
sorry you are mistaken. I meant that the way some people say it makes us seem almost like New Finland, not that we from Newfoundland would say it like that.
I was going to suggest doing one of these for Australia but then I realised they're the most obvious self explanatory flags in the world
CANADA BEST COUNTRY!
The Reptilian Wizard Lizard I'm anti-Trudeau.
Who cares?
Your still a British Colony!
No...
***** Good, and hey, the "A FUCKING LEAF" thing is just a meme. Don't take it seriously.
Also please do the flags of the English Counties.
As a royalist Canadian I too would like to see this.
As a filthy American, I think that'd be pretty nifty.
yes ples
It would have to be historic ones e.g Yorkshire as south yorkshires flag is disgusting. Mist of them are pretty cool and heraldic
3:03 for future refrence I belive it is pronounced Newf-In-Land Not Newf-en-lund
Seth Skinner don't mean to sound like a cock. but it's more pronounced as New-found-land, they weren't very creative I know
Mozobozo dont take this as rude but are you from there because my family are and they say newf-in-land but maybe its just dialects
Seth Skinner yes I've lived here all my life. but there is definitely a possibility of different dialects around the island. I don't think I should have posted my comment trying to correct you without taking into consideration that factor. sorry
At least he didn't say New-FOUND-Land!
Iv never heard anyone from Newfoundland pronounce it as New-Found-Land (Maybe townies in St. John's?).
Newf-en-land is pretty close. (SOURCE: I am from Newfoundland.)
1:11 "To the left is the shield of Ontario's coat of arms..." Begging your forgiveness, but isn't that on the right?
3:38 "The Union Jack sits in the right corner..." That's on the left.
4:15 "The lion is golden... The background is red" That's a red lion on a golden background.
Well done, Cody... Well done. *slow clap*
UNDERRATED AS HELL
Québec’s flag is the only one who looks like a country flag, not provincial flag hahaha.
So most Canadian Province flags are already better then many US State Flags. GG Murica.
NO!!!
A
FUCKING
LEAF
The Reptilian Wizard Lizard Yes it's a leaf, good job!
No. Even poo in loo's flag is better than a fucking leaf.
At least Canadian flags don't have writing on them.
Coaster Haven Don't know canadian flags too well but this is false. He showed one in the video that had the initials "HB C" or Hudson Bay Company on it.
Did you pay your royalties to Dr Sheldon Cooper?
I never know so much about my province thanks 😊🇨🇦
The "red monument " is called an inukshuk, in-nook-shook , you saw that and said nope lol
3:51 "Saskatchewan is located in the centre of Canada." As a Manitoban, U WAT?! Manitoba is in the centre of the country, not Saskatchewan. All the signs when you drive into Winnipeg (Manitoba's capital and largest city) have "Heart of the Continent" written on them! Manitoba is called the "Keystone Province". The longitudinal centre of the country is in Manitoba (and Nunavut too).
Why am I getting all uppity about this? Because Manitoba and Saskatchewan don't like each other...
Rough Riders can suck it.
Lmao the end😂
Oh yeah well Saskatchewan has Uranium, and Manitoba has Winnipeg, so who's the real winner?
its cool to see a fellow Manitoban here
Am I the only Ontarian here?
I live in the 'Peg

That last one! XD
america. canada's senpai
*Quebec's Senpai
always trying to buy rights of shity american shows
Cant believe I just found you for the first time, loved this video. You did miss the Acadian flag, mainly seen in New-Brunswick and Nova-Scotia but can also be seen sometimes in Louisiana in the US.
New Brunswicker right here!!
for nunavut u should have said the star represents texas.
this comment pisses me off for many reasons
There's so many errors in this video it hurts
A
FUCKING
LEAF
Go on...
+Ingsoc all of*
That was pretty good. I am Canadian so good job. You said some stuff that I didn't know, and I love flags. So that was really well done.
"Quebec is like phoebe from the magic school bus show, how she never shuts the hell up about her old school."
And with God's help, we never will! Vive le Québec! Je me souviens.
And the star on the right... You guessed it, Texas
It’s pronounced EN-sin, not en-SIGN. Like an Ensign in the Navy
1:11
*Ontarios coat of arms on the right*
"To the left"
The sun was setting in the west
The birds were singing on every tree
All nature seemed inclined to rest
But still there was no rest for me
Farewell Nova Scotia
The sea-bound coast
Let your mountains dark and dreary be
For when I am far away
On your briny ocean tossed
Will you ever heave a sigh
Or a wish for me
I grieve to leave my native land
I grieve to leave my comrades all
And my parents whom I held so dear
And the bonny, bonny lassie
That I do adore
The drums they do beat
And the wars do alarm
The Captain calls, I must obey
So farewell, farewell
To my Nova Scotia home
For it's early in the morning
That I'm far, far away
I had three brothers and they are at rest
Their arms are folded on their chests
But a poor, simple sailor just like me
Must be tossed and driven
On the deep, blue sea.
I collect flags because flags are cool
When u actually r Canadian and skip the whole intro
as a Canadian, I never knew the difference between the provinces and territories, thank you for clarifying
Everyone else except Steve. We all give steve shit because hes canadian. Admit it we all do it
As an Ontarian I would like to personally apologize for our flag
I'm a new Yorker and I apologize for our flag
whats wrong with the Ontarian flag?
It’s the best flag, don’t you dare apologize.
I’m from BC, but I just can’t stand people insulting the Ensigns. They are clear representations of what Canada is. Not some bland, soulless, metropolitan New-America like the federal flag, but a symbol of the Anglo-Canadian identity that survived for over a hundred years before being nearly extinguished by the rising tide of anti-Canadianism pervasive in our schools and institutions.
The fact that you would find it necessary to apologize for a symbol of your heritage is a clear sign of our crumbling society.
why its a great flag that references its awesome brittish heritage
@@EEYore-py1bf British weren't the only ones during that time. The French, Dutch, Germans, Scots and even the first nation peoples were crucial in the founding of Canada and the U.S
Why'd you say "Nooh-nah-voot"
it's "Nuh-nah-vuht" (just say "none of it")
When you tried to pronounce that I died a little
He probably said it that way because he looked up how to pronounce it, and found people who are actually from there saying it correctly
I must agree with you on how it is pronounced as i was shaking my head in disapointment
Thats how I learned to say it. None of it.
XD
SAME!
O wow your videos quality have gotten wildly better holy!
Newfoundland squad where you at
The Canadian version of Sheldon Coopers "Fun With Flags".
I come from Québec also I have NEVER heard a Canadian say"eh"
@Kerry Scott Canadians are the most unaware of their own culture and surroundings of any place on Earth. I hear people say 'eh' all the time.
@Kerry Scott Kerrry, there's no denying Canada has a lot of culture, but having culture and being aware of it are two different things. Canada's a great country, but the people take it for granted. They're more concerned about what's going on across the border than in their own country.
Cuz Quebec is basically the most different from any other Canadian territory
I’m also born in Quebec, spent most of my life there but idk how I forgot French
@@plotsky_ I've been to Québec only four times, and I heard people say "eh". People in Canada who deny their culture are idiots.
The lion looks like hes getting a good stretch after he just woke up from a good night's sleep
it means we like maple syrup
This will be helpful if Trumps elected and I move to Canada.
XD
People who say that are so full of shit
What do Canada's flags mean?*
Please do more flag videos. There's so interesting!
