What was said in the vid was my findings of Chinese bikes; change the battery for a better one, swap the stock oil out for better oil, If you can swap for a better quality chain do so. They stretch more (along with getting some grippy branded tyres). You will then have a decent bike. Of course if you don't like the material used for certain bolts etc, measure them and buy some stainless steel versions online. Chinese like to use Zinc coated bolts now because they don't rust, however they are softer and can round off in the tool.

Here in the Philippines, one of most popular sportbikes is zongshen GS200, which is marketed here as Motorstar Z200x. Very reliable, powerful, bang for the buck at spare parts is everywhere

You don't look stupid on a small bike, as you say! Small bikes are VERY cool, and can be a lot more fun to ride than larger displacement bikes. I have 6 bikes, from small displacement to an 1100cc, and the most fun I have is often riding my 50cc, 2-stroke, 7.1 HP, 5-speed classic HONDA MB5, that I purchased new back in 1983! Only does 53 MPH max, but it's a blast constantly winding through the gears, trying to keep it in the powerband! Years ago, I had a Lifan GY-110 (Honda CT70 clone), which is Chinese made, and it was built like a tank! That one was stolen and never recovered.

Sorry to bump up an old thread. The host probably meant the rider was a bit tall and would look silly indeed in a small bike. I think they were trying to address a misconception some people in the West might have, that Chinese bikes were built with "Asian specs," i.e. built for the much shorter Asians.
...and the RX3 250s is not. I've ridden one here in the Philippines - it's sold under the name RUSI Z250 Xplorer. It looks tall but the riding position actually feels cozy for a 5'7" guy like me. Lots of ground clearance too. My friend put 18" wheels on it.

It was shockingly easy to buy an RX3 from CSC. They are a top notch bunch, and the bike itself is great. It's become my everyday hop on and go motorcycle. I definitely will buy another bike from CSC again. 👍

if you remember that its a chinese bike and not a japanese bike, its actually really good. if you have never ridden a chinese bike you won't really understand this bike, chinese bikes in general have little nit picky things go wrong pretty often. its a great bike if you want to learn to work on your own stuff too cause it'll break down just often enough for you to learn to do everything.

These sound great. I was interested when they first announced them but was largely concerned about them being Chinese and largely unproven over here in the states. The problems you listed seem really easily and cheaply fixed with universal aftermarket parts. It'll be interesting to see how these bikes hold up after 30k plus miles and a few years of wear and tear on them. For the price they don't even really have to hold up as long as a bike from any of the big four do to justify the purchase though.

+Marty I suppose oil filtering shouldn't be a problem. Any bikes I've owned had either a replaceable oil filter, or, in some cases one cleanable screen. This one has the oil filter and two cleanable screens. Don't know if all that is needed, but it's got it. There is a forum for these, and also long threads on Chinariders.com, and mychinamoto.com.

GOOD LAWD I want one of these! Never thought I'd be into "adventure" bikes, but that's a sweet setup. And I love the whole "wrench-your-own" philosophy. As a former Ural owner, I tell ya', it really makes you bond with the bike. If you can't go hydraulic, the locknut valve adjustment on these is next best thing (saw that in the official CSC vid). I hate tire tubes though... that was the bane of my existence with the Ural. That fuel economy sounds phenomenal. Where's a good scratch off lottery ticket when ya need it?

Neat looking little bike and I can see the appeal from a cost perspective but as you said I could never wrap my head around a Chinese bike. It sounds like this is a step above the other Chinese motorcycles and ATVs I have seen personally but the obvious lack of quality, durability and ride ability I saw with those just stuck with me I guess. It will be interesting to see where these go though. Seems like this company has some of there quality and design in order. I won't be trading in my KLR650 any time soon though :)

Man I love the way this bike looks like the bigger BMW brother, but I just wish it pulled a few more HP. I'm riding a Ninja 250r which I've got up to 33hp after a few mods and 33 feels a tad low. This bike has 25 if I remember? I'm sure it can do anything but boy would I LOVE a 40+ HP version of this bike. Obviously it'd be more expensive... But man there's still not really a good 40ish HP adventure bike like this out there.

People may have a difficult time wrapping their head around a Chinese bike but they do it everyday with many, many parts from China on their autos, all their smart phones, computers, ipads, clothing, athletic shoes, food, appliances, TV's, entertainment electronics....is there anything I missed? It is all perception and the perception today is where it was with Japan imports back in the 60's when it was considered "junk" but was purchased because it was inexpensive. Another ten years and the youth of today with look to China for quality and price.

If, "there's no more bricks and mortar" what is the actual value-add of the guys in the US? Why would they suggest in this video that you bring your bike to a local mechanic to have it worked on? Perhaps a very rapid (FREE) swap-out system (in partnership with a carrier, eg., USPS, UPS, FedEx) would aid in bringing the future closer to what the narrator is suggesting, but, the way it is today is nothing of the sort. This Chinese company will not succeed in the US marketplace if they only continue modeling their effort as they are today. Nope! The Chinese Manufacturer is only a few terrible deadly injuries (lawsuits) away from all but disappearing. The guy @ 10:30 suggests having "THEIR card" to hand out to other while he's, obviously, overlooking what it could mean TO HIM to have HIS OWN card that would lead an interested person through HIS website, ie., one that at the very least acknowledges the fact that he tagged the potential customer. Even some sort of a passive incentivized-network system (with a decent payout for referrals) will do better than what's in place right now.

Nothing special, all of the RX3 comes the same, FI, 6 speed, same cases, nothing changes. I'm getting one in Costa Rica and is exactly the same bike, lots of marketing here.

Well uh duh, this is a adventure bike meant for light off-road, what did you expect to see when being taken into a heavy off-road environment? This is a very good bike, obviously if what you want is to push your bike to the limit in rough terrain, this bike is a terrible idea, you have to be dumb to expect this bike to perform as an enduro.

it's not a dirt bike or a hard-core enduro. More along the lines of other adventure styled motorcycles.

Lee Bradley - Suggestion try to ride more than "bad mouth" it's surely more fun. Either American, Italian, Japanese, Chinese or whatever... They are all being made to be as cheap as possible. Even if the Chinese still have some catch up to do. The fact is riding it's the most important "posh" comments are not very productive.
