  • The feature film #TheFallGuy marks the latest collaboration between #director David Leitch and #cinematographer Jonathan Sela, ASC. Sela describes the movie as “all about the stunt world, and they really wanted to do everything for real.” That desire, along with inspirations that included the action-packed films of director Tony Scott, led the filmmakers to shoot with multiple cameras and anamorphic lenses, often compressing the action through the use of longer focal lengths.
Sela and his team worked with #Panavision Sydney to put together an equipment package that included Panavised Alexa 35 cameras and Panavision C Series anamorphics, which the cinematographer supplemented with E Series, T Series and G Series anamorphic optics and Primo spherical lenses, among others. Here, Sela reflects on the making of the movie.

All of Jonathan's previous films were shot on Anamorphic lenses were Hawk anamorphic lenses. Be it Deadpool 2, John Wick except you know Transformers The Last Knight. That was the first film where used Panavision Anamorphic lenses(G series if I remember correctly).

Amazing content!! I would looove longer videos though. 2:27 is just NOT ENOUGH! I would love to have a deeper insight into the process and I want to know more about the lenses they used, which set they used and for what reason. Was it because of a particular set renders skin better, or a set has more character? I want to know soooo much more.

The whole thing was just a complete waste of money . Boys with toys & a celluloid piece of box office scrap metal trash with A lister attached.
