    Stockfish brutally destroyed Leela

Its DFRC variant, aka double Fischer random where the back ranks are not similar for black and white.

Very Very Original...the way chess might have looked to Bobby in the 1960's with no computers and precious little opening theory. No wonder he loved it so.

Love the Chess 960 videos!! Much more original than "Old Chess". Thanks to Bobby Fischer.

A brilliant blockade/ hole exploitation from the fish. Thanks Josip.

Is this really Fischer Random Chess? It seems more aptly named random placement using Fischer Random restrictions (bishops on opposite colors, etc.) with Fischer Random castling rules. Fischer Random Chess would almost have to imply that the two sides have MIRROR symmetry.

How come Black's pieces aren't placed equal-and-opposite to White's pieces?

yah in fischer random the back ranks are supposed to be mirrored. This looks like a different variant, not fischer random

Nice Game by Stockfish Leela had difficulty getting any kind of serious attack going Stockfish slowly but surely picking Leela apart I did begin watching yesterday but was so tired was not able to finish and don’t know why Audio was fine just now yesterday I had difficulty maybe my ear buds but Great Game I know this is variant chess but as others have said usually aren’t the pieces coordinated in a mirror fashion on both sides of board Stockfish just seemed like was better able to get pieces active in the game than Leela Thanks Jozarov have a Great Day 😊♟️
