    As a dispatcher who hasn't taken the ADX in the better part of a decade and don't use these explicitly day-to-day (beyond their use cases with MELs and CDLs), I appreciate these Systems videos as they help remind me how everything works on the aircraft in relation to one another so I can get a better picture of what the PIC and FO are dealing with and assist them accordingly. Also, I have an interview with a Legacy Airline in a few days and this an awesome refresher!

    Who else feels like the „Pull Up“-Man just explained his airplane?

    what a clear way to explain it in a short informative video. It really did make look so easy. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Please keep up the good work.

    So hydraulics are automatic there is no EDP "on" switch just an off/fault switch

      the Off/fault switch is the "EDP" switch. It shows fault when the engines are not running as there is no pressure. In the 737, you leave the EDP switch on even with the engines off.

      Figures never touched an Airbus used to boeings

      @@smokinnplatez1426 I fly both. In the Airbus, the EDP is shows off/fault but if you press the switch in and both lights are extinguish, the pump is in auto and only turns on once engines are running.

    does that mean when engine 2 starts it pressurizes hydro that goes through the ptu to turn and start engine 1?

    • @Bahistapoakoeh
      @Bahistapoakoeh 2 года назад +6

      Nah hydraulics and the PTU are not involved during engine start ups. Bleed air is what you’re looking for

    • @ziadajam5433

      @@Bahistapoakoeh oh gotcha, on the F-16 we have a Jet fuel starter which is literally a mini jet engine that provides bleed air to start the engine, to get that JFS started we have accumulators that are pressurized with hydraulic fluid that are dumped in order to turn the main engine, but it makes sense that if you already have one engine running that is capable of providing bleed air that there would be no use of the hydro being transferred to start the other engine
