I give gas to the KTM and it continues to hold it, the revs drop after 10 seconds, sometimes it revs up on its own, the fuel screw is fine, I don’t know what it is, please help ❤

Great vid man. Thanks for all the tips. Mine is doing similar. But only after I messed with the carb. Now I def have an air leak.
So need to pull the whole thing off.
Any vids for getting the carb off easy. As when I tried it was a nightmare

CRF250R? Yeah it's a pain, but I've gotten fairly quick at it now.
-Take seat off (I usually tank the tank off as well)
      -Remove muffler
-Remove subframe (make sure carb clamp is loose first)
-Remove rear shock (2 bolts - bike needs to be on a square stand)
-Now you have easy access to the carb
For getting the carb back on, I put the carb into the engine side manifold first, then remove the air filter and stick my hand through the airboot and push it onto the carb bell so that it's fully seated.

Thx for the simple steps, it seems like not running the bikes is the worst thing for them

Yes, mainly due to pump gas causing so many problems when it sits, especially if it has ethanol in it. If you could get ride and get the engine up to full operating temps at least once a month, you'd rarely have those problems.

    Hi. Need some advice please.
I have a Klr 250. Wont idle low and struggling to start. All jets cleaned and bike runs good but wont idle. Also it runs without the airfilter. As soon as i connect the air filter pipe, it won't start and wont run.

Hey Quentin, those are signs that it's too rich. Is your air filter clean? I would start with adjusting the fuel screw.
I have a free guide that shows you how to do it in just a few minutes:
      motocrosshideout.com/fuel
Let us know how it goes!

@@MotocrossHideout ok i put the air filter pipe back and turned the fuel screw one turn out, it still struggles to start bur runs good... warmed it up but it wont idle. If i adjust the idle screw up alot it idles at 2k but that's too high, if i turn it back a little bit it just goes down fast and then dies.

    I have a problem with KTM 250 2T
The tool has not been used for almost a year
This week I found time to take care of it, I did a fuel-oil change, I cleaned the filter plug, everything, finally I tried to start it, but the car could not start.
It only started with carburetor spray and shut off straight away
From that I understood that the carburetor needed to be cleaned and that's how I did it.
Now the problem is different, the motorcycle engine goes straight up to very, very high levels
I played with the air-fuel screw but unfortunately it didn't help.
Is there a situation where the problem is different? Something in the carburetor maybe? need help please

It sounds like there's an air leak. Make sure the air boot and intake manifold are properly secured and the clamps on snug onto the carburetor.

@@MotocrossHideout first thanks for your comment.
It is possible if you show me a picture where to check exactly..?

Just look at where the carburetor is clamped onto the rubber air boot and the intake manifold. Are they installed all the way around? Are the clamps tight?
If they're loose or the rubber is cracked, that will cause an air leak.
You can also spray some brake cleaner or similar fluid around the carb while the engine is idling. If the rpm jumps or changes when you spray, that means there's an air leak.

Can I rev my bike when in neutral gear?? Because when I am doing that, it turns off 😅

    • @okok-oc4ko
      @okok-oc4ko 2 месяца назад +1

Probably a lean mixture, a whitish colored sparkplug may confirm this suspicion.

    • @MotocrossHideout
      @MotocrossHideout  2 месяца назад +1

As mentioned, it could be lean, but dirt bikes aren't meant to be revved in neutral with no load on the engine.
If it's doing the same thing when in gear and you're trying to accelerate, then I'd try and fix it, if that makes sense.
