Hello Natasha! I really enjoyed seeing the unwrapping and swatching of these new supplies. I especially like the way you get into playing with the colours after you've swatched them. I have been playing around with winter trees in various blues, so it was lovely to see you using the burgundy colour for them. Another great video, take care and keep having fun😊

It's always such a lovely thing to unbox something from Choosing Keeping, like opening little treasures. I'm glad you went for the other two Retro Gansai Paint sets. I have all three and they work really well together. I think working with a limited palette of colours really pushes you creatively. I think the colours in the 1980's set are quite close to colours you use in your work particularly when you wowrk with pencils. I wonder if thry asked artists to create these colour palettes in these sets as I always feel when I use them that only an artist could have put these colours together.I have ordered some f their hand made papers as I want to make a sketchbok with them as a gift fror a artist friend. I know you have the seasonal set of Gansai paints too, and these retro sets also work well with that set. I have all the seasonal sets too and I often ude all of them and the retro sets together, they do somehow all compliment each-other really well.look forward to future videos using these supplies.I lve the simplicity of the piece you createdbut it made great use of the colour you chose to paint with.

It really is! It's very special, isn't it? I agree with you about the 1980s set - I think that it's the closest one to my usual palette. I know that I'm going to enjoy using these a lot and I'm looking forward to combining them too. The sketchbook you're going to be making for your friend sounds wonderful - lucky friend! Thanks for your comment, take care Matt. :)

The retro sets of watercours are by Keratake Gamsai Tambi and they have sets of 24, 36 & 48. I just purchased the 38 after having their smaller palette of 6 gold/bronze variations called Starry Nights & the mettalics colour version Gem Colors. I believe the smaller sets can also be purchased as Fine Tec, but they are obviously Keratake Gamsai Tambi with another name on it. My large set I only just received as with the gem pallet so after watching your lovely placing of brushstrokes I am eager to start painting. I will be making an order with choosing keeping as soon as I recover from my recent purchases, and that's how the algorithm led me to you. Your newest subscriber from Australia xxx

Ah, I've seen the Starry Nights palette - it looks so pretty! Enjoy playing with your new paints; I love the larger Kuretake Gansai palettes as they have such a great variety of colours. Thank you for watching and subscribing; I hope that you enjoy the videos and find them useful! ♡ xx

Oh Natasha ~ I also meant to ask you (below - in previous comment;) if you found that you had any ‘repeat’ colour pans across any of all the ‘Choosing Keeping’ curated paint sets you’ve purchased thus far?? I think I’ve now watched all your CK paint sets swatching videos, thus why I was wondering if there were any crossovers?? Overall, all the sets looked lovely, with perhaps the exception of a couple of colours I personally don’t like/use ie bright purple! 🟣🥴 I think I’d have a hard time picking a favourite set!! 🤔🎨🤩🩷🧡💚🩵

Hi Selja! Thank you. 💖 I actually have the 1960s set already! I bought it in the summer; it was part of the first order I placed with Choosing Keeping (there's a video of that one on my channel too), so I decided to complete my collection with the 1970s and 1980s sets!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching you unwrap your ‘Choosing Keeping’ goodies! 🎁💝 Lovely 70’s & 80’s paint sets, including that bright/neon orange colour - probably not an easy colour to use! However I did see another RUclipsr (Parul Arora) who had also purchased this same 80’s set - paint a page full of different cute bugs & butterflies & in another one of her videos ~ she painted a really gorgeous & quirky chair she’d seen at a museum - using this orange pop of colour!! 😻🎨🩷🪑🧡 *** If you’re curious to take a look at it, here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/Z3FFlXNaYB0/видео.html&si=gFGUkfuHbUL12Yo3
