Loved this demo. The electric guitar sound is basically my sound and you mentioned the Police, The Fixx and The Pretenders. All my favorites in one demo. The original song reminded me of that 90’s Cranberries sound.
Great demo & sweet tune Pete! Thank you. I dig these fly rigs. Bought an RK5 after watching your demo and a rig run w RK. That thing kicks ass. While it's not my main rig, it's super convenient/easy and sounds great. I've been curious about this one. Much appreciated.
Great demo, as usual. I have this rig and love it for acoustic guitar, and square neck dobro. I also play electric bass through it. Sounds great. Pete I was hoping you would have had an above shot of your settings.
Great video - as always! Question: When using an electric, did you try adding a overdrive in front of the unit? Wondering if this would take a pedal very well?
I will tell you this....even before this broadcasts...i first bought the Joyo British...$20!...why not?....Then, because i actually ended up liking the Joyo, i bought the Tech 21 .....i ended up liking the Joyo just a little more....the Tech 21 is more aggresive...but the Joyo has a smoothness that is appealing to my ears....where i live now, I'm exploring more ways to record direct...
How did you get the dotted 8th timing Pete? There's no dotted 8th button like on the Electric V2 (which is genius) #flyrig. Tapping a dotted 8th note in live is tricky without subdivisions which the 5 V2 has of course.
@PeteThorn hey Pete.. have always wanted to ask: why you prefer rosewood over ebony for your custom Suhr guitar.. sorry this is off topic but always forget to ask during your live streams.
Love Tech 21 products! I have a FlyRig 5 v2 and an Acoustic FlyRig and use them separately. If I want to put them in my pedalboard together for using my electric and acoustic would it be better to run from the Acoustic into the FlyRig 5 or run the Acoustic in the loop of the 5? Opinions appreciated! Thanks!
What sort of pickup system on the acoustics? Piezo? (Taylor has three versions, right?) The reason I ask is that the Fly Rig seemed to control/reduce the piezo quack most acoustic pickup seem to produce. The only things I've used that does that well is remodeling e.g., the Fishman Aura and the Zoom A3 (which I have). That 12 string sounded sweet!
12 string is a never designed pickup and pre that they have used for quite a while I think, the Martin has an LR baggs with a pickup and sensor of some sort
Did you mean newer? Yeah, the latest Taylor pickup (Expression System 3?) is very nice. The V2 system was a little much but sounded good (like three different PU and piezo?). My Taylor has the ES1 system which is good but still a touch quacky. Anyway, yours sounded great... of course. I need a 12. You have me looking again (my Seagull popped the top at the bridge!)
Spot on with the Pretenders reference!
Wow, what a nice sound. So clean and bright. Very nice. Awesome demo, Pete!
Really nice, Pete. Tech 21 seems to be coming out with something cool for every segment of the market.
Your channel rocks because you make everything sound amazing.

Great demo. as always. The unit sounds great and easy to use for live or studio. either acoustic or electric. very handy. Thanks Pete
Sounds amazing! Possibly some Lifeson tones on here too, eh ;)
Keep kicking ass
Very nice sounds Pete thorn
Always fantastic! Love the nod to Scream.
Sounds great.
It can be fun to have challenges or limitations when trying to write a tune. Great job Pete.!
The best chanel for guitarist !!!
The twelve string sounds glorious!
Yes!
Great as always, thank Pete!
Pete, Great Demo!!

Beautiful Martin sir!!

I’m not a fan of this “premiering” I see it posted and get excited. Then realize I can’t watch for another day.
Got it, noted. I'll just post the premiere link from now on right before the vid goes live. Thanks for your feedback, Lex
Pete, I swear that I could listen to your demos for the rest of time, they're always well formed ideas that are executed so well! Bravo sir!
Thank you!!!
Settings check on the boosted white tele part, sounded pretty sweet!
Great video - as always! Question: When using an electric, did you try adding a overdrive in front of the unit? Wondering if this would take a pedal very well?
Nice Rig, but I Loved: The Song, the Playing, the Individual Parts . . . getting to hear them Solo'd - too. Such Tasty Playing.
Ha! Some of the camera angles duing the demo makes the unit look huge! Like around 00:40 and 01:40 Anyway great demo. This thing sounds pretty good.
So helpful, Thanks Pete!
Nice Opener @ 0:30
@Pete Thorn, where is the distortion coming from around 8:20? Thanks!

Great review. This looks interesting but seem a bit pricey for one type of sound per rig.
Is it better than Carl martin acoustic ?
