I just got my hands on an ek43 the other day and so far I really like it over any other grinder I previously had. The heavy build quality and almost overbuilt design really sets it apart from everything else. It‘s great for not only single dosing my daily cup of coffee, but also delivers when I do larger amounts of coffee flavoured pastry and desert stuff. Maintainance is easy as well, just two screws and You’re inside the grinding chamber
First-time viewer here. Instant subscribe when Snorlax appeared for scale. Will definitely check out a few more videos of yours. Really like the style!
Love your videos as it's always pleasant to watch well prepared people. I am seeking for advice for a possibly very common case.I don't want to buy grinded coffee but at the same time I don't want to spend a fortune in a grinder. I just want a reasonable tool for grinding beans for my entry level Delonghi and for my V60 pour overs. Is the Fellow Ode what I should go for? Thank you.
It'll work if the Delonghi has a pressurized basket and you mostly do pour overs. But if you're using traditional baskets/want better quality espresso the Fellow Opus or Baratza Encore ESP are better options.
In Korea, ek43(s) were sold for about 2,000 dollars due to chicken games by importers. It was purchased by many home users, reflecting long-term use and endgame. To be honest, I think it's too much at home. But use it for over 10 years, 20 years, 30 years... well ... I don't know lol
Thanks for the video 🙏 could you please compare EK43 with C40 Commandante? I'm very closed to get the EK 43 and sell my Niche Zero 😂😂😂 I do drink both espresso and filter. cheers!
@@DavidLikesCoffee I think the stock EK burrs do a fantastic job. I currently have them in my Ultra grinder and the Pre-2015 MK regrinds in my EK. I’ve done quite a few burr comparisons. It’s a lot of fun to see how coffee tastes different with different burrs. I also have an Ode and am currently really enjoying the SSP Lab Sweets in there. Just noticed you are in the Baltimore area. I’m not far from you down in Southern MD!
Loving the direction, style, and quality of this channel! You are doing incredible work!
Thanks, Emilee, I really appreciate it!

Looking forward to an EK43S vs 078 battle. If that becomes possible.
potentially! depends on when Timemore ships and when burrs become available.
What's the keyboard setup? I spy MT3
It's my first mech build! NK87 Alu, Halo Trues & Domikey keycaps
