    Can the fimo liquid be used as a glue for the earrrings pin?

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, I think it holds fine 😊 but it works best if you sand the plate of the earring post and then cover all of the plate with the liquid before baking

    Hi there, these are awesome! What are you using for the polishing?

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  9 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you! I use a very fine sand paper and then a car polishing attachment for my drill 😁

    Does the translucent clay not need to be conditioned? (Clay newbie here)

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  Год назад +2

      Yeah it's probably best to condition it, but the translucent clay is often much softer than the regular clay (don't know why), so I find that it doesn't need as much conditioning 🙏🏻

    Thank you so much for sharing! They are beautiful! How did you make a sanding and buffing drill bit?

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  Год назад +1

      Thank you 😍 i bought a polishing drill bit set and then I just wrapped one of the polishing things with sand paper 🙌🏻

  • @Metal-Spark

    Would it be possible to make a more complex shape from these? I'm interested in making things that look like crystals or geodes to be part of larger clay sculptures.

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  Год назад +1

      I guess that would be possible, especially if you make sure to sand and polish the pieces after baking them, then I think you could make more complex shapes. I know some people use resin og the surface to make them very shiny as well. I would love to see some pictures if you try!

    What is the name of the cutter your using? And is there anything else that can be used instead? Btw amazing works

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  Год назад +1

      The blade came with a polymer clay nail kit, so I don't know the name, but I guess it's just a razor blade. The shapes are a leather cutter set, I think I got them on Amazon 😊

    does there have to be transparent clay involved? can i use just white??

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  Год назад +1

      You can use any color for this effect! I have also used opaque colors before 😊 the only difference is that you will only see the marble effect on the surface, but that's also very pretty 😊😊

    I've never seen anyone turn chunks of clay into liquid by adding liquid fimo. Is that all you did?

    • @bjerredesign
      @bjerredesign  Год назад +4

      It takes a LOT of mixing, but yes, that's all I did 😊
