It depends on many factors. I like to leave mine to dry at least 1-2hrs. I don’t apply multiple coats. Yes! To avoid brush marks I find it easier to dip and hang them to drop. But I keep and eye on them and try to wipe the drips, otherwise they can harden hanging on to the piece. Which means more sanding 🤯
Hi, you are amazing and thank you for helping us newbies. I have learned from your tutorial more than any other. All i wanted to know was in here. Thank you again. 🤗🤗
I love the voice and friendly sound this person has. I could watch her videos all day. I especially love this one as it covers exactly what I am planning to make very soon. Thank You!
These came out so nice! I hope to try marbling with gold soon. Is the gloss varnish toxic? Or is it fine to use in small amounts to coat the pieces after baking in a regular household?
It’s a nail sanding tool (linked in the description) . If you search rotary tools on Amazon there is an abundant amount of these. Dremel is a popular brand. And there is a non electric one as well. You can chose to make the whole before you bake your pieces if you do not have a tool like this.
Fab tutorial! Just made some of these in mustard yellows and terracotta oranges. I have ended up with quite a few, could I sell what I have made crediting this tutorial or is it for personal use only
Do you use a large oven or a little toaster oven and what do you bake them on? I wanna make some i have all the materials. I made some but i burned them, I’m using a toaster oven
I LOVE your marbling technique! It's completely different than mine, and your finished jewelry looks so different, as well, but it is absolutely beautiful. I have one question /comment: to attach your jewelry findings to the clay, you mentioned using Sculpey 'Bake & Bond', which I love, but you don't mention that 'Bake & Bond' MUST be baked after its applied to bond things together. I would imagine that you would suggest baking the piece 'as directed by Sculpey', and it should be done BEFORE glazing with any kind of water based varnish because the varnish can not withstand oven temperatures and could scorch or burn. THANK YOU, again for sharing your GREAT marbling technique! Kindest Regards! Jack
Thank you so much Jack 🥰 I’m guessing you are talking about the earring posts. Yes! Bake n bond or liquid clay is another way to attach posts. You need to use this before varnish and bake in the oven for 15-30mins in 275F I hope this helps 😊
Hello😁 I am new to your channel. I loved this tutorial and the tips you give freely. I'm fairly new to polymer clay and look forward to binge watching your videos and sharing them as well. Many thanks again❤😍
Are you still making tutorials? I am a noob at this clay magic, and I want to make some jewellry to my sisters. Thank you for sharing!! Hugs from Katla Dragon in Norway
Absolutely! It’s a polyurethane gloss varnish. Please refer to my recent video - Stained glass polymer clay earrings tutorial to find more information. 😊
I have seen other creators do it without liquid clay. They press and push really hard to and for a while to squish the pieces together. If you are to try, I’d say try a small amount first! Good luck 🥰
I love this video.. Thanks for sharing your techniques❤️.. I wanna make sth as a hobby. But i haven't got a pasta machine.. Then how I make a fine sheets?😶
Estou amando assistir seus vídeos, mas confesso que nao6falo inglês e por é difícil entender tudo! Por favor, coloque a tradução em português ou espanhol?

Lovely! I couldn’t find the list of supplies you used and from where to get them! 🙏🏻
@@claudiaresquin435 it’s available in the description. Most items might not be available due to pandemic though ☹️
hay can you say me what kind of clay is this?and from where you buy this clay?and how much it cost?
How beautiful! I am from Brazil and I'd like to know what is the name of this rubber you are using. Thanks a lot
Que modelo de arcilla usas? Es Souffle o fimo? Cuál es mejor? Gracias
I love your sanding tool
I would love to see you use the paint for this technique! You inspire me!!
I will definitely make a video with that. Thank you for watching 🥰
Me too!
The thing I like the most of your videos is the love you show for your work. It is inspirational. Thank you very much for sharing.
It’s my absolute pleasure! Thank you so much 🥰
It works also without Fimo liquid? They are so beautiful
Wooooow wow wow. This was one of the best tutorials I have seen. You made my day. Thank you so very very much. 10/10
Thank you for this detailed tutorial❤
Wow awesome what material are you
Thank you. This is brilliant. I can do this with kids. It will be great to show them they can make something amazing like this.
Brilliant video. Im glad i found it, thankyou 🙏
You are so creative I love this 💗
Do you need to use the liquid sculpey to achieve this look, or can you do without it?
You don't need it. Just makes it much easier to stick together
You are amazing!!!!! 🤗❤ I so happy watching this. Thank you
Live this ..do we really need to have a pasta machine to blend the slab ?
Nope, you can use a roller with guides or depth guides. Just need to make sure your slab is even!
Very pretty earrings! ❤ They came out great. Thank you for sharing 😊🌹
Love your work & your generous spirit. Thank you.
Thank you so much and thank you so much for watching 🥰
These are so beautiful! I love this method and have used it multiple times already! Love your vids! Thank you!!
Thank you 🥰 This is one of my go to techniques! I love it.
What do you bake your pieces on? Paper or metal?
Can I use something else instead of pasta machine?
Yes! A fondant roller with a guide
This is awesome....They are sooo beautiful...
I enjoyed your wonderful video, thank you for sharing ❤️🌹
Hello i star making earrings last year, i love it its my therapy.
Same with me! It’s the best therapy ☺️
This is beautiful, but what if I don't have liquid Sculpey what else can I use?
Also is there a certaint type of clay sued?
In case of air dry clay what precautions should be kept on mind?
Hey!! For the gloss varnish, how long do you let yours dry and do you apply multiple coats? And do you just hang after dipping in the varnish?
It depends on many factors. I like to leave mine to dry at least 1-2hrs. I don’t apply multiple coats. Yes! To avoid brush marks I find it easier to dip and hang them to drop. But I keep and eye on them and try to wipe the drips, otherwise they can harden hanging on to the piece. Which means more sanding 🤯
Is there something you need to do to have it harden or can you just let it air dry?
Can i use sculpey souffle?

I'd like to know this too! Thank you
@@beckyblack5159 You can use UV Resin to coat. It will give you super gloss
Is that paper you baked pieces on?
Very nice and I will try to make. Do I need to bake again after using bake and bond to stick the pin? Thanks a lot.
Yes please try it! Yes, I bake it for about 15-20mins 😊
So beautiful!! Can i ask a question? Make a hole after baking is better than before baking? Which is better?
Thank you 🥰 I prefer it after since I personally think its much more neater.
@@FernMitchHandmade thanks a lot. Could you recommend the item for making a hole please? I guess it should be very small tiny hole...
This answered every question I had
Too beautiful
Thank you for sharing this method🙌🏾 I learned so much.
So helpful , your so sweet to share all your techniques !
It’s my pleasure 🥰
Do you bake it in a normal oven or do you need a special one. Thanks for a great tutorial
Normal oven 😊
thats so staisfying and you were so nice
Thank you 🥰
Beautiful!
After baking the clay, what tool do you use to make the hole and where do you get it from???
And is there any other tools that I could use instead of the hole maker???

Great video. Did you find the Varethane sticky?
Thank you. 😊 I haven’t had a problem with it. I usually let it dry for at least 24hrs

I love this video thank you for inspiring me because I've been wanting to tap more into my creative side. 💛✨
Aw I’m so happy my video inspired you 🥰 thank you for watching!
Very pretty!
Thank you 🥰
this is an awesome tutorial, just a bit surprised about hour baking time. is it the clay used? i have sculpey 3, it says 15 min at 275 :(
Is it not better/easier to make the holes for the hardware before baking?
It depends on what you want. Sometimes piercing before baking can disturb the patterns created or make the clay around the hole uneven
You have inspired me to try these. Thank you hun😘😘
Great video
Do you use a large oven or a little toaster oven and what do you bake them on? I wanna make some i have all the materials. I made some but i burned them, I’m using a toaster oven
I use my large oven. When you use a toaster oven please use an extra thermometer. The heat fluctuations are ridiculous.
What kind of drill do you have to make the holes? Love these!
It’s a nail sander. Linked down in the description box 😊
Beautiful...thanks for sharing 💖💜💛💚💙
Where u you from? Very funny way speak(ends go very high ) 😁
Great tutorial, thanks. What make is your sander?

Fern&Mitch Handmade you have been a blessing to me!

Can we bake polymer clay jewellery in microwave??? Plz tell
Not this particular brand. I have seen other brands which you can. But I don’t think those are suitable for making earrings.
Wooaw wonderful definitely am making these clay earring.thank you
Thank you 🥰 yes!! And please tag us on Instagram so we can share your creations
hi! i have a question, do you have to use liquid polymer clay to stick them back together??? can i mush them up together?? will it work??

Amazing ❤
By the way love your tutorials they are great ❤️🌹
Do you condition the clay before you start?
For this technique, unconditioned clay work the best 😊
@@FernMitchHandmade And you don't have trouble with bubbles?
@@meldubbs bubbles form when you over condition the clay. When air traps in.

Thank you for watching 🥰 you can find fondant rollers with rubber guides on Amazon. They are great for making sheets that are even thickness.

I’m fascinated with pieces that incorporate translucent and gold leaf! (and would love to see even more❤️)
Will I be able to use my toaster oven which also have to bake and broil and temperatures go up to 700 degrees? To bake the clay that is
No

Fern&Mitch Handmade You’re welcome! 💕
Can use any clay ?
By any clay if you meant any types of clay, I’m not sure but if you would like recommendations of polymer clay I suggest everything but sculpey iii.
@@FernMitchHandmade thank you so much for the response.
The earrings are very fashionable and I like them very much.👍👍
Thank you 🥰
What size were those cookie cutters? Love them!
Thank you 🥰 They are about 1-2inches
Could I make the hole in the earrings when they aren't baked already by using a nail and then bake them?
Use a pin. A nail could disturb the pattern or make the clay uneven
Love your videos thank you for the ideas!
Thank you so much for watching 🥰
Awesome video! I’m very curious about how you did the black marble with white paint!? Beautiful work thank you!
Thank you! I just replaced gold leaf with paint. I will be making a video for that soon. 😊
Beauuuutiful!! 😱😱
Thank you 🥰
Is it possible to make these without the use of liquid clay?
Yes, make sure you let your paint dry and mush them together really well.
I don’t personally recommend without it but you can try 😊
