Attack the protagonists one at a time instead of all at once despite having a numbers advantage, although I'm not sure how much that would've helped considering how farmed the Zeus was even before the disconnect.

been there done that. i was playing with my brother, i played omni and my brother riki. held it 2v5 until 90 mins, and the enemies almost lost at some times. but in the end lost, and the enemies said "ez game" for a 90 mins 2v5 game that they almost lose.
this kind of scenario is usually when u are on the winning team but one guy just suddenly disconnects due to bad luck or having someting urgent (and the 1 of the other leave) so u really dont want give up the game just like that.

I felt the same. A lot of those longer matches had a lot of players who maybe weren't surfing, but didn't play as bad as expected from heralds, this brought it back to the start of the serious getting to see the truly most ridiculous herald builds/plays.
Bloodseeker probably wanted to start another game of Dota but realized that this one is still going so he reconnected to see wtf is going on, and then said "fuck it, lets finish this one" when he witnessed the state of the game.
Well usually ur playing against smurfs and trolls in herald. There was no smurfs in this one, no griefing, and enemies dc’d first while dire was like 15k up in gold.
I remember my first Dota 2 game. I was a Dota 1 veteran (didn't use hotkeys or knew how to ward but knew how to last hit and deny at least). I picked my favorite Rikimaru (old Riki with the Invi at level 6) and my entire team disconnected shortly into the game. Solo'd the whole thing because all the excess gold from the team disconnects helped me get items faster and I would just pick them off one-by-one while also pushing.
Man this reminds me of good ol' beta test days when three teammates left and Tiny and I (Ench) won 2v5. Pubstomping was easy because I played a bit of WC3 DotA and most players were new. Then the game caught up to me and I started sucking, went to college and naturally quit for years. Now I'm back playing like a maniac and actually learning how to play soundly and stomping in ranked, so much fun!

I was playing 4v4 and the other team killed all 3 of my teammates, and then I mass-produced necromancers and meat wagons and just walked all over them with skeletons. So much fun and they couldn't figure out how to counter it.

Im glad this game was different than just the showcase of herald 90+ minute games, cuz those a lot of the time arent the most ridiculous, in this little over 30 minute game we got to see an invoker who only invoked a single spell, a bara who managed to only hit level 8 in over 30 min, a cm rushing sb, a zeus with double pike and butterfly, and a lot of other gold content. It doesnt always need to be a near 2 hour game to be ridiculous and fun. My only comment would be that the tweet about zeus "1v5ing" was kinda disingenuous as it was never more than a 1v3, with each enemy feeding one at a time. But it did subvert my expectations of thinking zeus would even play the slightest bit decently.
I feel like Zeus may have been a Smurf playing bad purposely, watching the disjoint on the spirit breaker ult mid, where he used a illusion rune that was not a herald move.

This likely a server crash. People randomly exiting a ranked match can only mean that. It makes reconnecting very hard too. The worse part abt these sort of games is that sometimes for some people it still shows as counted so they keep trying to reconnect to a game that might actually be already over. I had this issue once and kept trying to reconnect to game for 40 minutes. I literally quit and came back an hour later to see it had ended in 20. Worse all no one actually gets mmr.
If theres one thing Ive learned form herralds its to play for fun. I just went roaming with no boots, built spirit vesel+eteral blade on oracle and stomped people at immortal while lisening to music. Building aether leanse+holy locket attentive support had gotten stale.
Honestly for heralds it's always been easier to 1v5 than otherwise, since most heralds are unable to farm. This passive income is an immaculate asset to them.

He is literally playing one account at a time and has no idea how to win Dota 2 without a good veteran player (like Razor) to climb up on and ride his shoulders to victory!!
