I’m at the end of my rope and I didn’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. I’m not trying to get rich. I’m just trying to make enough money to survive and feed my autistic son. I promise you this I will do everything in my power to pay this forward like you have, so many others want to act like they’re helping and they give you just enough information and then they sell you a course. However... the thought of them suspending my account after all of the setup procedures and then having to go back in and reapply (or beg them) to take another look at one's account is total BS!!! IMO, they have way too much access to my banking info. So...I will be setting up a new account at a different bank and then I will resume.

Hi, Etsy needs a bank to deposit the money you make from your account and for you to pay them if you own them any fees. I recommend getting a business checking account. YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT. Keep your Etsy (business) finances separate from your personal finances. This video talks about the best bank accounts for small businesses. My product is a combination of 2 companies that I had custom make 2 separate items, which I then glue together. Basically merging the kitchen world with the office world. Etsy does have an app that will allow you to manage your shop via your phone. However, I recommend doing the shop setup on a Laptop or pc. You may be able to do the setup on your phone but I have not tried it so I'm not sure if you will run into an issue during the setup process.

Nothing is scam proof but Etsy has put measures in place so you know when it is them contacting you via Etsy messages. They use a 3rd party service to add your banking information. I also recommend using a business bank account to connect to your shop, not your personal account.
I could not follow you because I did not see the 40 items page when I opened Etsy. it would help to start from the begginning and show how to get to tat page.

Just a question, I’ve had my first sale, and I’ve heard about Etsy putting shops into vacation mode after getting first sale to verify ID, holiday mode is off for me, and I’m still getting views, I also had to verify ID when setting up the shop which I think came with a newer update, so do they still have to check ID after first sale? Because I am not getting as many visits as before but it may just be coincidence.

@@jasmineeeethecatttt Hi, unfortunately Etsy only sends you deposits via a connected bank account. I suggest opening a business bank account. If you are in the US I can give you a few options.

@@jasmineeeethecatttt I'm so sorry that my list of recommended business bank accounts does not extend out side of the US. But with that said I can answer you question about why not just open another personal checking account. The accounts are very similar but just have different purposes. Some banks that offer personal checking accounts have rules against you using it for business purposes. There are also benefits like the ability to accept credit card payments, cash management features, and invoicing features that are included with some business bank accounts. Keep in mind that features vary so do your research. Wishing you much success in your business!

Hi! You do not have to have a business registered before opening an Etsy Shop.You can sell on Etsy as an individual.

Hi! I was wondering if Etsy is asking for payment details of your account isn’t it unsafe by any chance, like prone to scams?
Nothing is scam proof but Etsy has put measures in place so you know when it is them contacting you via Etsy messages. They use a 3rd party service to add your banking information. I also recommend using a business bank account to connect to your shop, not your personal account.

Just a question, I’ve had my first sale, and I’ve heard about Etsy putting shops into vacation mode after getting first sale to verify ID, holiday mode is off for me, and I’m still getting views, I also had to verify ID when setting up the shop which I think came with a newer update, so do they still have to check ID after first sale? Because I am not getting as many visits as before but it may just be coincidence.
Hi, I'm really not sure. Etsy does strange things. I'm hoping the new validations that they are doing when you set up your shop will stop them from doing all of the strange things like putting a shop in vacation mode after the first sale. I actually did not know they were doing that. SMH. Let us know what happens. Your experience will be helpful to anyone setting up a new shop.

You’re not explaining what renewal is. Options automatic or what does it mean???
Etsy will charge you a listing fee each time you post a new listing. After someone buys an item from you that listing has to be reposted and Etsy will charge you another 20 cents listing fee. Because of this you have to say if you want Etsy to "Automatically" repost your listing and charge you the fee. Or if you want to "Manually" report your listing after someone makes a purchase. @@jasmineeeethecatttt Hi, unfortunately Etsy only sends you deposits via a connected bank account. I suggest opening a business bank account. If you are in the US I can give you a few options.

@@jasmineeeethecatttt I'm so sorry that my list of recommended business bank accounts does not extend out side of the US. But with that said I can answer you question about why not just open another personal checking account. The accounts are very similar but just have different purposes. Some banks that offer personal checking accounts have rules against you using it for business purposes. There are also benefits like the ability to accept credit card payments, cash management features, and invoicing features that are included with some business bank accounts. Keep in mind that features vary so do your research. Wishing you much success in your business!
