Replacement faceplates has arrived as per my local supplier, this should arrive in my doors in a week or two. Will keep you posted, thanks.
Does anyone know where you can submit a request for replacements? I finally got my Tifa and she looks so bad. The paint apps on both faces are misaligned and she looks like a knockoff figure. I couldn’t find any support for merchandise on Square Enix’s website.
i dunno man, even the replacement faces might not be replaced at all, still waiting for the news here

Facts I checked on eBay and this is true. For attempted version 2 face repaints.
I bought the Tifa figure too, I know it doesn't look like the promo photo, but the design isn't too bad.
Gonna get mine on Thursday. I hope I get a good looking one.

april stock prolly has the same sculpt as this, if its delayed till june, it would probably come with the fixed faces.

all info are from our local suppliers which they relay to local sellers, the local sellers then inform us customers the news, they also mention april stock will not have any difference from this stock, just delayed due to different shipment circumstances per country.
Hey, thanks for sharing! I snagged the statuettes that SE released, but they didn't create a Tifa. :( I thought about maybe getting this, though I'm not sure how much it would "not match" the others, being from a completely different line.
I don't have any Play Arts Kai figures -- will they stand on their own at all? I'm -really- not a fan of those gigantic clip stand things.
I think yours looks pretty good, frankly. I like the softer face expression... looks OK to me. :)
Some regions have had more delays for this figure, which has people wondering if they are going back to create a version 2 before shipping. No confirmation that I've seen, though...

almost all Play Arts have goofy angled ankles and won't stand at all without a base, you can but it's tricky.

Crazy that if you want a Tifa statue right now, you essentially have to go unlicensed and drop a grand. :|
@@falldoughnuts yeah, checked out some third party makers like green leaf studio and they all look better than this.
@@justgamesandtoys Yeah that Green Leaf is absolutely amazing. And I understand why they cost so much -- I'm just not in the headspace to spend that kind of money. :)

Honestly? I feel like the face sculpt on the prototype looks very little like Tifa actually looks in the game.
Got Info on the faceplate issue:
Square will provide replacement faceplates and will start distribution in june or july as per suppliers update.
If that is true then everybody wins 😺
I will make an updated video of this by then if they arrive in my doors, Thanks to everyone who liked this vid.
I really hope this is true and they don't re-release the entire figure with the new face, and burn everyone who bought this first batch.

That'll be interesting if they send out free faceplates to buyers. When people complained about Noctis's face in his first batch, they didn't send new ones out. They just changed it in the second and third batches that released. So those of us who bought his first batch were pretty much screwed unless we wanted to rebuy the figure. Nyx's face also had issues (he was cross eyed on the majority of figures that people got) and to my knowledge, SE didn't bother even fixing that issue. I really don't think this is a covid issue. SE just doesn't have the greatest quality with kai arts unfortunately.
Maybe it will be a first? I also didn't believe SE would do something about this at first but all resellers here are all saying that replacement faceplates would come. Even bigtime resellers here announced it at least. We'll have to wait and see.

I just got mine last night, for me it looks much better in hand, not in pictures. not really sure why though.
the sculpt needs proper lighting and angles to look good, but still I would prefer the promotional images square enix provided. That's why people felt scammed. This was kind of a false advertisement.

maybe ask your seller, we received a notice for the replacement faces but it would come in june or july according to them.
