Just talked to a total by verizon rep, and they did indicate that it unlocks on day 61 of service.
ayooo thanks for your service 🫡. also I’ve linked their terms in the description too.
I LOVE YOU
W commenter. Doing work i fw it
Also if your wanting a phone you can use on your regular Verizon plan Walmart has this phone locked to the Verizon prepaid plan which is different then total I know it works because i went to buy one and they accidentally gave me the total one which was 179 but when my sim didn’t work I returned it telling them I needed the Verizon prepaid one and luckily they had it in stock and it was cheaper.
Day 61 - would that be during a 3rd month of service then? Or can the buyer squeak by only paying for 2 months?
Set up a VPN at home, connect to a EU network and update the iOS. Simlock will be unlocked. Simlock is not allowed in the EU
wdf it actually worked 💀
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
@@Tommy-qe6fh yep. All iPhones since iOS 8 are simlock free in the EU cuz simlock illegal here. Have heard it worked, but havent tested myself. But I know for a fact that it works if you got a simlocked US iPhone in the EU physically

Got this SE for $50 during black friday. Only had to pay first month's service, and wait 60 days for it to automatically unlock. Total came out to ~$110

That’s an insane deal!
I was trying to get it back then and Walmart employees didn’t activate phones. Apparently, you need to go to a Walmart that has the activation ability. So couldn’t get the discount.

Carrier locking should be illegal
It is outside of America, for the most part. Networks over there have way too much control though. In the UK carriers haven’t been able to lock phones for years, and we also don’t get carrier bloatware or branding on the device or its packaging
it is most places! which is why you need to connect it to a non standard US network which removes the simlock. you can then put your US sim in it and its unlocked.
it shouldnt be if they gonna sell a new phone this cheap
In Holland i haven't touched a simlocked phone in years. They are alle gone i assume.

Interesting how the 11 came in the thinner box, I remember it being the last iPhone that had the thick box that actually included a power adapter and EarPods.
apple sold the 11 up until 2021 so any model produced after 2020 have the thin box
the 11 had a soft re-release in 2021 or 2022 with only 64 and 128gb storage, basic black and white color and thinboxes.
When iPhone 12 was released, Apple is still selling the 11 and that’s when they started selling the 11 with thin boxes.

as an italian guy, seeing those prices for monthly mobile plans is shocking.. Here you can have like unlimited calls and 200+ gb of mobile data for 8 bucks a month or less...

If anyone was wondering which one to get, I would DEFINITELY go for the se 3. Sure, the iPhone 11 has the better screen, battery, and cameras, but at the same time, the 11 won't be supported for too much longer. The se 3 just released two years ago, so it should have another four years of updates, and I would definitely say it's worth the price it's being sold for.
I bought a iPhone 12 through straight talk in march. I’ve had service on it ever since I bought it. Today I checked and it was just automatically unlocked. So happy
walmart are legends for making iphone cheap than the apple store
iPhones cost more to produce than what WalMart is selling them for, they’re losing money on every sale, but they make it back once you pay for Total Wireless! Pretty crazy stuff.
The SE 3rd Gen I got during the promo in January (missed the Black Friday one) was a GODSEND for my trip in Japan. Japan uses a variety of transportation cards, mainly Suica, for their train and bus systems. Androids not bought in Japan cannot use digital versions, but iPhones bought anywhere can. If you have a no transaction fee card that will add money to the digital Suica, you basically have a much easier time getting around the country. The SE is also the best option as its the smallest phone, so with the right case and passport wallet, you can just carry it around in front of your passport in the pocket without having it slip out and setup to where you just tap the iPhone, or in this case your passport wallet, onto the NFC reader, no powering the screen on needed
Im an electronics associate at walmart and I must say you got a pretty good deal on these iphones. Cricket, boost, and AT&T versions of these are more expensive. Prices vary between different prepaid carriers. Unfortunately my store does not carry total by version because our area doesn't meet the coverage requirements to sell verizon and their subsidaries. I used an iphone 11 for a few years. Still a good iPhone from my own personal experience. Wal-mart now sells the iPhone 12 as a prepaid option. Soon enough the iPhone 16 or iPhone 15's successor may be when the iPhone 13 will become a prepaid option.
Nah Boost Mobile is 99$ with an ID for the iPhone 11. I literally just bought one two days ago and I’m typing on it right now.
I work at Walmart’s electronics department. The reasons for the cheap prices is the other carrier listed there “Straight Talk” Walmart biggest prepaid provider. These phones can be had for even less at times with special promotion running for a couple of weeks. For the SE we’ve seen $99 with a new line and in store activation. During a Black Friday event the same SE was completely free with the same new line and in store activation. It can be tricky to get these promotions as a third party vendor that works inside of Walmart selling post paid phones “Premium Wireless” are the ones primarily responsible for doing the promotion but most of them are not willing to do it for the customers as they don’t make as big of a cut from it as compared to selling their required post paid phone for per day.
See my store is small enough that we don't have any of the 3rd party folks here so we have to do the warp orders for those promos. Now we also don't do any postpaid stuff only prepaid and we only do warp orders if there's a promo on that specific phone.
Great video! I have a fold 5 but I can appreciate this content and sending this to a few friends!
Thanks for your video, love it, my first iPhone was a 6 and I paid $49.00 brand new with Cricket wireless, it was 3 years old at the time and it served my purpose, now I have the 12 and it was $100 bucks, I don't need to spend a lot of money to get a dated but still capable phone with a great camera. Again, thanks for the info.
I got a SE2 acouple years ago from Tracphone for 50$ came with one month service. incredible deal I still use the phone
I know people are gonna think I'm crazy, but I'd say jump on the SE 3. It's the latest one with the newest chip. Meanwhile, Apple is about to end support on the iPhone 11. So in the long run, the SE will be the better value for longevity and support. May not look sexy and appealing, but it gets the job done.
Iphone xr and newer will get at least one year of updates
@@IramCoercere SE’s generally get 4-5 years of updates, so the SE is still the better value. But if you want better cameras, the 11 is certainly better.
@@Joshtheweathermannot 4 to 5. there's only one se that isn't supported and the early 2016 iphone se first gen lasted from 2016 to 2021 having support to ios 15 same as the 6s, it lasted 5 and a half years.
I find it interesting that you can still get the iPhone 11 from 2019, brand new. Can’t say that about its contemporary rival, the Galaxy S10e, though.
I found that to be pretty crazy too. It’s been sitting in its box new for 5 years! Somebody should buy one of these and then collect it, they’re still unopened!
Interesting to note that while brand new iPhone 11s still seem to exist Apple doesn’t sell them 🤔
Apple did officially sell the iPhone 11 till 2021 as that explains the no charger box
My country still have stocks of brand new iPhone 11 (early 2020, box is thin without a power adapter), and even an iPhone 8 (no 8 Plus sold out last December).
Apple used to make the XR until late 2023, stock in switzerland is completely gone
there are many new white and black iphones 11 and 12, apple still make them, they just sell them at retailers only
I bought an iPhone XS (2018 flagship) from Wal-Mart in early 2021 for $100 just for the hell of it. Happy to report that it still lives on as my secondary phone to this day, although I know Apple is dropping support for it this year.
actually no, ios 18 dev beta released and even the XS is still supported.
I actually work for Verizon prepaid sector inside Walmart and most of our phone sales are these phones. I've never once had any issues with these getting returned or having to set them up as I do in store set up also. I highly recommend people getting these phones even if it's just for the month.
I have 3 phones from them iPhone 11 and two iPhone 12s they do get unlocked after 60 days automatically as long as you don't take the SIM card out.. customer service is horrible though but you won't really need customer service if you're just going to get a new number.
this is good to know. I was reading that putting a different carrier sim also violates terms of service and will result in no unlock as well.
Does the phone have to have service all 60 days or can I buy one month service and it unlocks in 60 days ? I have a se 3 , had it since it first came out 2-3 yrs ago and I’d like to replace it .
Not to mention that the 11 also has AT LEAST another 2-3 years of software support and an additional year or two of security updates. Great cameras that hold up in today's world.
The SE - having the A15 chip that was reused TWICE in a row, would also likely get 4 or 5 years of support.
You can check to see if it's a refurbish by the settings.
got 2 of these for $100 each awhile back with 1 month service, but you dont have to buy another month, you just gotta wait 61 days and itll be fully unlocked. also nice video!
Are you sure about the remaining 61 days?
I just purchased two for upgrades, did you just wait the 2 months to use it?
I was considering having the battery replaced in my older iPhone but just getting a new phone seems worth it lol
I replaced my battery in my very old iPhone. I bought a good quality battery on eBay and followed an iPhone battery replacement video for my model iPhone on RUclips. Battery cost was about $22.00. That was maybe a year and a half ago and my phone is working perfectly. Not hard to do and saved me lots of money. I'm with Tracfone and hardly use my phone but it only costs me $20.00 for 3 months of service. Occasionally I'll pick up a Data card for $10.00 when I run out. It's not for everyone, but it works for me.
Straight talk is the same as total wireless now
Also, great video! Learned a lot!
What about total by verizon? That's another company. There's a lot of them all under track phone..
I just got a brand new iPhone 14 on Tuesday using only the money I earn on my RUclips channel since I don't have a regular job (I'm a teenager, 14). I upgraded from an iPhone 8. I'm very much impressed with the battery life on this phone right now. I took if off charge Wednesday morning at about 9AM and didn't plug it in until yesterday evening around 7pm and it was still at 55%. Very first phone I bought with my own money too!
What do you use to post content?? iPhone or pc?
I work for Walmart electronics and help with in store activation and any service under the tracfone umbrella (tracfone, straight talk, total by Verizon, Walmart family mobile, and simple mobile) is subject to a 60 day carrier lock period for both all android and apple phones. Also none of the iPhones are refurbished when you buy them at Walmart.
Awesome video! The Call of Duty mobile game usually, from time to time, has a lengthy update. I use my ps4 and Xbox controller when playing mobile games while traveling. When indoors, I connect an HDMI to a 27" monitor to enjoy a wider view. Maybe you'll also like playing using a controller and connecting your phone to a monitor. You're likely to be more comfortable using a controller moving your soldier while shooting and engaging the enemy team.

The old iPhones have been cheap in Walmart for a long time. I remember getting an iPhone 6 for like $150 back in the day at Walmart.

Honestly I have a huge feeling there’s LOTS of unsold stock of these models. I heard they overestimated the SE and made more than sold. The iPhone 11 was just very popular to be honest so not shocked there’s plenty. I wish I’d grabbed one when they were $49.99 with a $30 plan. Also that’s the 5G model of SE (as you said) so for $150 it’s really good price.
Yes, there is lots of unsold stock and it usually goes to other countries outside of America. I know some countries still selling XR’s and 8 Plus’s brand new according to other users in these comments
I wouldn’t be surprised if they overestimated the SE 3. The SE 2 was a massive success as it had been 4 years since the last SE phone, and so students and small phone lovers RAN to get their hands on the SE 2. Apple thought the massive success of the SE 2 would reciprocate with the SE 3, but it just didn’t happen. Many people stuck with their SE 2, including me.
I have both the I got from
Walmart on Black Friday in 2022 and 2023, great backup phone. Camera devices or to use as a dumb phone and disconnect for a bit.
The FCC wants all carriers to have a 60 day unlock policy like Verizon and now tracfone brands due to all Verizon owned brands
I use the same se 3 from wallmart
You can usually activate the phones with the included SIM card on any of the total subsidiaries, so I always do the cheapest page plus plan over their customer support phone and have it unlocked in 60 days
64Gb..... That hurts. Even for $200 bucks
:o pretty cool!!!
I already got my SE3 a couple months ago but still cool to see..
Funny it’s the 2 phones I have

It's roughly 60-90 days til straight talk unlocks them while using their service I had the 11 I liked it never had total wireless tho
New law was passed on that matter that made it 60 days whatever the carrier and even if you didn't payout your phone yet.
so to get it unlocked. You have to get service for 60 days or just wait 60days after buying it? And if you get the plan and you stop using it or cancel it later does affect in anyway?
It gets unlocked after having 61 days of service (the 61 days was confirmed by another comment that was pinned by the creator) with total by Verizon, not sure about other carrier plans.
@@T_hhhhj2 61 days after activation only 1 month service is required for automatic unlock on iphones on tracfone brands like total/straight talk
You should wait until black Friday they tend to bring down the price about to $49! Sometimes the older models go for $29 as I bought a se 2 for $29 a couple years ago. Great deal most of them unlock 60-99 days

Worth it tho, I cherish my phone since I went on such a journey to get it
That's why it's best to wait a year or two for the same expensive tech to drastically drop in price. It's almost never worth buying anything new on day one anyway.
Thanks for sharing. I’m going to check my local Walmart.
I am planning on getting one of these phones as a backup phone. So for it to unlock do I have to pay for two month plan or I can get it and let its it around for 60 days for it to unlock on it's own?

7:00 it's not because of the chip size why it downloaded any slower, it would be either the wifi antenna/technology not being as up to date or just because the other device got prioritized on your wifi connection, or because of storage speeds bottlenecking how quick the data can be written to the internal storage
Is the SE 3 on sale or what? 😭 that’s wild. It’s not even that old. My SE 2 I still have that I got 3 years ago for Christmas in 2020 was like $249 on sale. 😭 and it’s locked Straight talk..
they said you had to use it for like a Year with service active for a year straight to unlock it automatically. I basically have but they never unlocked it, nor will they. I already upgraded to a 14 pro that’s unlocked so there ain’t no unlocking that anymore since I’m not gonna pay service for it when I’m already paying T-Mobile for service for the 14 pro.
I have the total wireless i phone 13 from Walmart and i use my safelink free phone service on it with unlimited talk text and 10gb 5g data so it was a good buy for me no doubt. I got mine brand new for $449
The SE is a really good phone.. I just got the 13 mini from Amazon almost new and its great too. I love small phones tbh and these two are my faves
You can get an unlocked iPhone 11 secondhand for less than that, then put it on a reasonably-priced carrier like Mint or Tello instead of being locked into two months where you overpay by $30

Don't get the prepaid android phones, especially the cheap ones.
Theres a REAL good chance that thing ain't getting bootloader locked. At all.
Yeah no crap, that’s a given. Not like expensive phones are a lot better though with some brands, Samsungs never get unlocked and nothing sold at Verizon does. No big deal for most people though, and it’s not like the cheap phones have any roms for them to make it worth unlocking, basically everything you can get cheap now is MTK.
@@NebulaHatesWatchdog Eh, the older/more generic mediatek phones are quite hackable. I'm even typing from a rooted one right now.
@@qwertykeyboard5901 There’s a big difference between being rootable and actually hackable. I don’t consider being able to root your phone a real big modification, it’s pretty minor to be honest. MTK phones are considerably harder to port to, hardly anything with MTK has any roms at all, and they never work as well. Unless you’re prepared to write your own drivers, these devices are not able to be modded.

I got a z flip 3 on ebay for 104$. And nothings wrong with it. Its crazy how much phones go down within 2 years
Samsung Z Flips are super unreliable. They almost always have screen problems. I’ve been looking for a cheap phone/camera on eBay that can shoot 4K60 and I looked at the Z Flips and their resale is plummeting from thousands to just over $100 due to all their issues. It’s crazy. Makes me glad I didn’t get the Z Flip when it came out, I didn’t have to suffer! Lol.
@giovanigeorgis3848 lmao yeah it's quite nerve-wracking. But the gimmick/design is what got me. I love the fact It's longer and bigger than most phones while still having a smaller form factor than them. Altho the crease issue and how mine is cracked is scary I will agree.
No issues _yet_.
Don't get me wrong, I have a Fold 4 and I like it despite the longevity concerns. But if you're buying a phone with a hinge, you can expect them to last 2-4 years typically. If your Flip 3 lasts another year then for $100 that's good value, but unfortunately older flips and folds are unreliable.
Newer ones both have less wear and tear on them and also are built more durable (upcoming Fold 6 is finally rated for dust resistance, only at a level 4 but it's a step up from nothing) so if you can afford to get a new Fold/Flip and trade in every two years they're a pretty safe bet, but older ones are hard to trust. Flips especially, since prior to the Flip 5 they lacked a decent cover display. If a Fold 3 craps out on you, the traditional glass outer display will let you keep using your phone until you can get a new one, but the Flip's cover display isn't gonna do much more than show you the time.
That said, a secondhand Flip 5 can be easily gotten for under $400, and a brand new Razr 2023 can be gotten for $450, so yeah, flips are getting cheap enough that it's feasible for a lot of people to get them.

Bro whoever made 32 GB phones needs to be arrested. But I was instantly able to activate it on my Straight Talk plan and I love it so much.
Do you think this will also work for the IPhone 12 that walmart sells for $300 ?
I'll be checking my local Walmart for this deal on the iPhone 11. Had the X model and it tragically met its demise when I accidentally dropped a 20lb dumbell on it rendering it basically unusable as half of the screen is basically blacked out. 😅

I bought an iPhone SE gen 3 at Walmart and there's only one thing you should know, this iPhone can only use 1 provider card so you can't use cards or SIM cards from other providers, but so far this is very good, you won't be disappointed paying for $149
I already have Verizon, can I buy one of these phones and just put my SIM card in it, then will it work?
No, it will not work. The iphone is locked to Total's network. Total is not Verizon. Total is simply paying and renting Verizon's network and try to confuse potential customers that they are Verizon.
That 60 day auto unlock from Verizon is based af
It was better when Verizon phones were factory unlocked out of the box. They were like this just a few years ago.
These Prices are fantastic, in Germany they are still above 400 Euro. I have a question what does he mean with Carrier and Verizon are the Phones Sim Locked ? Flashing with German of IOS would solve that.
Yes sim locked
Also good to note that the iPhone SE3 is 5g whereas the iPhone 11 is LTE only.
I don't think that that's a downgrade considering that the iphone 11 was released a few years earlier than the SE 4:48
???? it's a downgrade bc the SE has a more recent processor
@@schrodingers_gat It is not a downgrade because the SE was released a few years after the 11. It would be a downgrade if the 11 came after the SE and still had the A13 Bionic chipset. Besides that, the SE is not the successor of the 11 series so there was no downgrade. Again, see the timeline of the release of the devices.
what do you mean with activate it for 60 days do i have to use the sim card for 60 days or what?
It just reached 5,000 views, remind me when it reaches 10,000 views or more!
or if ya want you can call the carrier (while on their plan) and give them your account pin (if the carrier has an app) and phone number (carrier) and they could easily unlock it within 24 hours instead of 60 days!
❤Happy fourth to you as well and I agree about the Walmart phones I brought mines from Straighttalk and I could have chosen to go with total wireless my phone boxing came the same way and I have the 15 plus I brought it online from Straighttalk even though I could have purchased it in Walmart just as you did but I prefer those too companies as well because my phone was easy to get unlocked because I brought it in full and I didn’t know total wireless would do it as well but only after days of activation but ya Walmart always has a lower budget on older iPhones especially from non contract carriers so thanks for the video btw my lil sis got her first iPhone from Walmart it came the same way it’s the iPhone SE 3 or 2 but I think my mom got it at a Lower price there
Do they show unlocked straight out of the box before you put in a sim card?
No, it takes two months but have to have service for at least one month.
And bonus, the SE3 is supported on iOS 18
SE3 will have support till 2029
Did the 11 come on iOS 14 or 15? Or did it come on iOS 17? If it was on 17 that means somebody would’ve had to open it up and update it because Apple stopped making new iPhone 11’s on iOS 15
I have an red iPhone se 3rd it's locked to at&t it literally works on Tracfone wireless and I got a T-Mobile iPhone 6s rose gold works on Tracfone too and an rca tablet DVD combo
