Only one, capture antibody will be coated to the plate, later antigen will be added, later detection antibody is added. The antigen forms sandwich between capture antibody and detection antibody. So only one antigen.
But why are we using two antibodies, when we can work with only one antibody and link it with the enzyme. And when there was direct and indirect ELISA was there so what is the need for this one?
Sandwich ELISA generally has higher sensitivity and specificity than the direct ELISA because two antibodies are involved in capture and detection. Since antigen does not need to be purified prior to measurement, sandwich ELISA is a better choice for the analysis of complex samples than the direct ELISA
The A antibody and the enzyne linked anti body is brought by the lab right? Not included with our patient antigen ?
Wow।।। Awesome explanation with animation 😮
Thank you very much! It's great ! Very helpful!
Thank u soo much, great teaching
Helpfull♥️
Please create videos on scintillation counter, gm counter
Most helpful video 👏👏👏
Thank You So Much !
Thank you so much
Thank you sir

Thnkusomuch 😀
thak you soo mch
thanks sir
Tq uu soo much
Best explanation ever😊

#Superb 👍 sir
Just best
Like that: just like that.
Very simple and relevant
Bro best explanation..can u tell about direct elisa
Explanation just outstanding..
Alhamdulillah , its very helpful
Bro in one antigen howmany antibodies can Bind

Where is western and southern blotting?
Thank you!!
Thank you for this
Thankyou sir👍
Thanks 💙💙💙
Which method is used in labs ,for EIA combo hiv1/2 & p24 test
idk
Very useful for all.. understandable because good animation
But why are we using two antibodies, when we can work with only one antibody and link it with the enzyme. And when there was direct and indirect ELISA was there so what is the need for this one?
Sandwich elisa is used to detect antigens where as indirect is used for detection of antibodies
@@sajidmicrobiology sir we can detect the antigen using the direct one, so why to use this technique? That is my question.
Sandwich ELISA generally has higher sensitivity and specificity than the direct ELISA because two antibodies are involved in capture and detection. Since antigen does not need to be purified prior to measurement, sandwich ELISA is a better choice for the analysis of complex samples than the direct ELISA
Well why cant we fix the enzyme linked ab in the very first phase?
😐😐
Then reaction will give false poitive result
Also known as dot blot Elisa !
Why are they called *Anti* A Antibodies. I don’t understand the Anti part
Assuming that antibodies are specific to antigen named as A
@@sajidmicrobiology thank you!
Sir i want to know! How a single antigen binds to antibodies simultaneously in sandwich elisa
A single antigen have multiple sites called as epitopes on its surface. These epitopes are the actual binding sites for antibodies
Thank you sir for this topic
Most welcome
