    I live in Belmont and though I don't have kids I know several people that do and its very family friendly. Same with neighboring towns like Watertown, Waltham, Lexington, Arlington, etc. I have also lived in Medford and found it to be very similar

    What about the North Shore? There are numerous communities that have excellent schools and wonderful homes on the ocean. The commuter rail can have people into Boston’s North Station in less than 30 minutes.

      Thanks, Pat Max, for the comment, I will make a separate video about North Shore. I agree, there are some great towns there and if I move somewhere, I am going to choose a town in North Shore and close to the ocean. I chose the suburbs closest to Boston for this video.

      Hey, I grew up in Hamilton. General Patton and Myopia Polo club. My father and an uncle fought under Patton. Right down the hill on Asbury Street then turn right toward Ipswich. I'd say there's history wherever you turn. And I've been half- way around the world. I just had to do my duty and fought here and there during the Cold War. Wasn't that 'cold' either. Trust me on that one. I'm in San Francisco now. Small world. The history there. Everywhere you turn. Count yourselves fortunate, all you from MA. It's a 'groovy place' to be...

      Hi Silvia, thanks for your comment. Yes, Boston area is not considered affordable but there are some suburbs that still are. Not everything is over million. I have clients looking at Single Family houses in low 500's 30-45 min away from downtown Boston. It's possible.

    Are you driving or walking to Post Office square ? I feel like you may be crawling. Newton, Belmont and Brookline border Boston

    • @BostonAreaHomes
      @BostonAreaHomes  3 года назад +2

      Thomas Casey, appreciate your humor. Belmont doesn't really border Boston, even though it's very close. At night you can drive to Boston in 5-7 minutes from any of those locations but I am thinking that people want to know how long it will take them to go to work during rush hour. It might take them even longer than what I said in the video, depending on what part of town they live in.

    Of course you picked the most expensive cities and towns in Mass. They should have the best schools, etc.

    • @BostonAreaHomes
      @BostonAreaHomes  3 года назад +3

      Thanks BH, for your comment. Exactly, most expensive towns have the best school and the best schools keep the towns popular because parents want to move there to give their children better education. Even people who don't have children think that it's better to buy in those towns, if they can afford it, because those towns keep their real estate values more consistently and are not as affected by ups and downs of home prices.

    You can get good schools in If you look around and help kids with homework. The Catholic schools give a lot of breaks if you work hard.

      Absolutely, J Pecci! Family influence and your kid’s drive is what makes the child successful in school. People still want their kids school to give them as much as possible and to have high standards. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍😁

    That is totally absolutely wrong information . However,the person who posted this video never got a chance to live in Cambridge, MA , Cambridge city is the most popular diverse and beautiful as well as high rank of college and universities for the entire nation ,so why don’t your eye glass looks good about Cambridge.

    • @BostonAreaHomes
      @BostonAreaHomes  3 года назад +3

      HI Dereje, thanks for your comment. I love Cambridge, I totally agree that it is beautiful, diverse and has the best universities. It is also very expensive when it comes to real estate. It is up there, next to Boston when it comes to home prices. The public schools are not as highly ranked as others on my list. That's the reason it didn't make it to my list of best suburbs for families moving to the area.
