  • It's been a while since my last upload. Finally found some time to both play a few rounds and edit a video. A fun elimination playing as my T3 rail/ nano heavy mech. The title is a play on words from phrases frequently used on an old tv sitcom (Mork and Mindy). In the end, just want to encourage more people to bring nanos to elimination matches. They can make a huge difference in the outcome of a match. Hope you enjoy the show!

Well played and well railed. ^_^ Those chain AIs would have been a much bigger problem had you not taken them out as early.
Agreed that elimination matches would be relatively interesting with more nanos present in teams. I'd be more concerned about players with nanos whom don't prioritize their use (regardless of the alternative). ^_^
    Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Pathforger. I managed to hear the chainguns brrrr coming around the hill. The ais would have most likely killed the mech healer, and would have definitely added some trouble. If they had been left unchecked and/or the the human players would have charged in behind the ais, we'd have most likely lost the match. Thank you for your comments and support. Always appreciated!

I will never get why people don't bring nanos to elimination. Maybe it's because they're more niche outside of elimination, or maybe because people like to use factory robots? Elimination is much more fun (and balanced) when lots of players have nanos. (Though if I was in a party of three with two healers, I'd bring a very attack-focused robot to round out the team consistently)
Also, that mech is fascinating, I have never seen propellers strapped to a mech before. (at least, never noticed)

I agree with you 100%. I suspect newer players may think it's more important to kill and be able to defend one self. I remember that I didn't use nanos for like the whole first six months I played. Back then I would constantly run into Quantum 5 man platoons in TDM. They were known/ hated for their ability to demolish their opponents ( think farmers but with NYA builds and skill.) I had 1 match that included 2 dedicated healers platooning together on our team. With the healers backing us up, we managed to hold them to 6 kills. Unfortunately we only had 4. But that sold me on the use of nanos, especially later on with elimination matches.
As far as my mech, I have always used at least one prop on my mechs. They add the extra momentum going up hills and changing directions. I had another variation that used thrusters, but props have more health and go both directions. Many would prefer the extra 200 cpu in health, but I like to have a little more mobility. Mech legs have gotten better over several updates, so I suppose they may not need them now. Thank you for your comment! Much appreciated.
