Kilimanjaro Day 1: The Rain FOREST Section!

It's been a while but welcome back to Fullwood's Bucketlist! We hope you are all okay and we are happy that you have tuned in :)
Join us in this video as we attempt to take on the 5 day Marangu Route to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. This is day 1 where we will be trekking from Marangu Gate to Mandara Huts aka the rain forest zone. We cover as much as we can, the trail, the food, the huts and how we are feeling.
Day 1 Trekking Stats
Miles = 5.35
Kilometres = 8.6
Elevation Gain = 2,373ft | 723m
Moving Hours = 2 Hours 20 Minutes
Elapsed Hours = 3 Hours 20 Minutes
Difficulty = 2/10
We highly recommend @gadventures ! This is our 2nd trip with them. They are amazing.
We did this trek from Monday 12th February - Friday 16th February 2024.

@@NathandHannah hi, we absolutely loved the EBC trek with Evertrek, it was hard work physically and emotionally, but what an achievement and beautiful country. We have booked the Inca Trail trek, and discussing the Annapurna Circuit Trek (money and work get in the way 😆)

@@NathandHannah hiya, we are doing the Machu Picchu via Tomacaya route - The Hidden Valley with Evertrek May 2025.
Evertrek are great as you can book a few years in advance and change the dates if you need to. Their Tuesday Tune In podcasts are a brilliant source of information.
