As a guitar player I just can´t stop thinking how it is even possible to play on these absurdely narrow frets. And why the heck it sounds like there are three people playing? Jokes aside, this was incredible. Pipa is amazing musical instrument and Wu Man amazing player.
Her talent is astounding, the faces of her peers behind her confirm how awesome she is! What incredible skill, I am glad she had the opportunity to share it with so many people 😊

Normally when I have heard White Snow in Spring, it is done at a slower tempo, but this up-tempo version was very satisfying, and almost changes the entire mood of the piece. A nice change of pace ;)

This tune was passed down since 2.5k years ago, I wonder if it sounded as good as this or could be better as ancient Chinese did not have notes to record down the tunes. The composer of this tune was a true artist by creating this tune to describe the true scene of white snow in spring!

They don’t look narrow at all, they’re pretty spaced from each other, but they’re very deep though

吴蛮：享誉世界的中国民乐演奏家，国际公认的当代琵琶音乐诠释权威，第一位获得格莱美大奖的中国传统音乐家，全美年度演奏家大奖和美国艺术家奖获得者。吴蛮出生于杭州，9岁起开始学习琵琶，1977年以全国琵琶第一名的成绩考入中央音乐学院附属中学，后来入读中央音乐学院，获该校首个琵琶演奏硕士学位。吴蛮为浦东派嫡传。

《阳春白雪》是古典名曲，为中国著名十大古曲之一。
表现的是冬去春来，大地复苏，万物欣欣向荣的初春美景。旋律清新流畅，节奏轻松明快。
相传这是春秋时期晋国的师旷或齐国的刘涓子所作的古曲。
陽春白雪，下里巴人
別鬧了,春秋時琵琶還沒傳入中原吧,
說不定琵琶根本還沒被發明.
初唐時,琵琶還是橫放,用撥片彈,模樣接近今日的日本薩摩琵琶.
中唐時才有裴姓音樂家把琵琶立起來改用手指彈奏.
傳説霓裳羽衣曲(月兒高)是唐朝的作品.
春秋時期離中唐有1000多年,誰告訴你是師曠或劉涓子作曲的.
所謂"琵琶十大名曲"是劉天華收集編撰成冊的.
(注意是"琵琶十大名曲',不是"十大古曲")
而劉天華是民國初年的音樂家.精通西樂與中樂.
古代的宮廷音樂以琵琶領奏,不設指揮.
所以十大名曲全是琵琶曲.但古音樂可不只有琵琶曲.
古琴曲更多,蕭笛也有名曲,而且歷史更悠久.
難道這些都不算名曲?

流暢只是音樂的第一步而已.
不過吳蠻確實在情感表達很出色.
但若比起劉德華的技巧或林石城的音樂處理,
吳蠻還有進步空間.

Normally when I have heard White Snow in Spring, it is done at a slower tempo, but this up-tempo version was very satisfying, and almost changes the entire mood of the piece. A nice change of pace ;)

十年琵琶三年筝，琵琶太吃功夫了，能练出来一需要精力投入，二需要天赋
琵琶需要功力没错，但三年筝确实不妥。一种摇指至少练一年才能精，别说一共有至少4种单指摇的技法了。古筝是比较容易上手，但是想到这水平没十年根本没戏
琵琶可以说是乐器之王了 能模仿多种乐器的声音

但就"古箏"而言,技巧上確實不如琵琶多樣,
現代箏技巧就豐富多了.
但如果只論搖指.琵琶的搖指更難練些.
但琵琶用搖指的地方不如用輪指多,
(不能用箏的方式彈.會碰面版壓抑共鳴.手腕得懸空搖.)
而"箏"卻以搖指代替輪指,
所以99.99%的箏演奏家的搖指都很突兀.
音色都在整個曲子中非常不合群.
幾乎所有人的搖指聲音都尖銳而生硬.(離前岳山太近音色太硬)
我當然也不同意搖指要花十年.都太誇大難度了.三個月差不多吧.
"古箏"的大指搖指是最難的.(只動拇指搖)
也不必花十年.
(對琵琶的人來說，搖指完全沒難度.因為箏的搖指遠不如琵琶難掌握)
PS.
如果方法正確,每天花2小時練搖指,三個月大概就能完全掌握搖指.
輪指則會練到死,彈琵琶的人每天最少都要練輪指半小時當基本功,(算熱身吧)
但彈箏呢,很少人搖指練上半小時吧.

指法娴熟，熟中生巧，👍，不要仅仅满足于你自己的成就奥，找到有悟性而又肯吃苦跟你学的弟子，把你的本事继承下来并发扬才是你最后的成功奥。
演出與教學是兩回事,有人很會教,但本身彈得不怎樣,
有人很會彈,但教學完全不行,
音樂的技巧是可以靠苦練,但對樂曲的了解是天賦.
請去看林石城先生的影片,
他被譽為琵琶處理曲子最強的人.擅長處理古曲.
那才是真的大師,
至於劉德海則是被稱為技巧派的第一人.
純賣弄技巧只是樂匠,
劉德海已於2020年去世,但我沒覺得特別難過,
但曾為林石城去世感到婉惜.(林石城為劉德海的師父)
雖然上面兩個人都對我影響很大,
嚴格說起來我算是他們非嫡系徒孫.(我的老師曾師從他們兩位)
當時我才大學剛畢業.
記得當時林石城演奏的陳杏元和番曾感動我.
所以特別欣賞林石城.
中華文化發揚光大！
相信不管是那種音樂人沒有不佩服到五體投地的！👍👍👍👍
