Looking at it from the outside as an American, I think it is because of the very nature of Hinduism itself. Hinduism, and Buddhism, are the most tolerant of all religions. They both create a different mindset. The rest of the world could learn a lot from it.

Founders of all major religions were born or died in India. India is a country of Sufi saints, Hindu / Buddhist / Jain Monks / Sikh Gurus. Only at a later stage Islam and Christianity arrived. India has been called Punya bhumi or Holi land from time immemorial.Jewish Rabbi says Ashram, Veda and Shiva came from Israel. In a similae way way jews and Indians blow the conch in temple or at home. There is a lot of trust and brotherhood between the people of Israel and India globally. We Indians are CEO's of major Israeli companies thats the trust and brotherhood that Bharat (India) enjoys with Jewish people. As a student of science, I can't stress enough of the massive contribution of Jews in the field of science and technology.
