    Wow, Dave Hartman actually looked like he has swung a bat a few times before, his stroke looked pretty good. Pete Rose expects to be elected to the MLB HOF posthumously, he's resigned to the fact that he'll never see it alive, smh, he's one of my favorite player's to watch ever...

    Miss Rose, miss Riverfront, miss the AstroTurf. I live in the California Central Valley and am a life long Giants fan, but am thrilled I got to see the Giants play the Reds at Riverfront, September 1996; while on vacation in Cincinnati, before they soon tore it down thereafter.

    • @gustafsone
      @gustafsone 3 года назад

      I grew up a Reds fan and my Dad would take my brothers and I to Riverfront a few times every summer to watch the Reds play. I have lots of great memories of going to games there that I will never forget. I moved away from that area for work after college, and I've sadly still never made it back to Cincinnati to check out their newer stadium that they built. I've heard it's a really great ballpark.
      I live in California now, like you, but I'm a little further south so my team wears blue and white uniforms. I've adopted them as my baseball team since I've lived out here for so long now, but I will always still be a Reds fan at heart, too.

    • @ledsohio
      @ledsohio 7 лет назад +6

      Betting on your team to WIN isn't the same as what the White Sox did in tanking so they would lose. If breaking a rule makes you ineligible for the HOF then they need to take a ton of people out.

    • @gls600
      @gls600 6 лет назад +2

      They can't allow the camel to get his nose in the tent because he will gradually slide his whole body inside. No betting on baseball means just that.

    • @joelmcnultymusic

      There is no rule that says he can't "do his time" and be let into the hall. People have been punished much worse for much less. Stubbornness, maliciousness, and being outright vengeful are worse than betting on your own team to win. Who do the powers that be answer to for those?

    The best hitter we will ever see. Ichiro was a great hitter but didn't have it all

    • @bernieudo4399
      @bernieudo4399 Год назад

      What about Gwynn? One can argue he was better than Rose since Pete never reached .375. Everything's relative. Gwynn hit .390 & but for the idiocy of MLB was on his way to .400. Ichiro broke the hits record for a season, but Pete rarely got close. Gywnn could hit anything, but Pete was selective. Great hitters have their unique strengths. Let's credit these players instead of deriding them. Pete should have a vote just once by the BBWAA. Up or out. Ichiro's fate will be in the hands of the writers. His numbers will do the talking.

    Pete would've done better to be a more selective hitter, but it's hard to argue with a guy who consistently hit .300 during the most offensively stagnant time in baseball history. Had Al Oliver been a more selective hitter, we'd probably be discussing him for the HOF too.

    He's a competitor and he's a man and I would bet on my team and I talk crap and I play hard. What man wants to lose ? Isn't getting married a gamble since a lot of marriages fail. How many of of the ones that bet they make it have their marriage license revoked ? PETE ROSE SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME, ESPECIALLY SINCE HE'S HIT MORE BALLS THEN THE COMMISSIONER HAS PERSONALLY SIGNED. NONE OF THEM CAN SIGN THAT MANY, BUT WHY DO THEY HAVE TO USE A STAMP WHEN THEY CAN
