I'd love to spend an extended period of time in the Nordics for awhile, and this video was extremely helpful! It's great hear that English is still commonplace, that certainly is a plus! Really nice video Ihana, keep it up!
I'm from Ukraine and I love Finland and would like to move there, the climate is not that a big problem as here the winter can arrive to -21° so I would adapt easily, by the way thank you a lot for the video!
Hello, I have been living overseas for decades now, enjoy watching your videos about Finland, and it has changed a lot since my youth, would be little difficult to move back, but I'm thinking about it. I will be visiting this August.
I am in full agreement with Ihana Pön that Finland is certainly a great place to live. On the subject of seasons, Sámi people say that there are eight in a year, where each of the usual four seasons is divided into to two. This is certainly true in the northern half of the country.

8 seasons in a year? That’s new to me. Time to do some reading up. Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏼

Hi ihana..I'm from Malaysia & planning to migrate there, but what is the first step,.. apply visa right or just pack my stuff & fly to Finland? Thank you
Hi Ihan , Hope ur doing fine. At present I'm staying in UAE, I'm planning to come by next year with my family, I'm planning to come to Tampere, Is Tampere a good city for a living? my field is Finance, I'm doing IELTS now & thinking to do Finnish language course also before moving, As I heard without language hard to get jobs, Is it true? Can u pls give me an idea about the Cost of Living & Job market in Finland, How can I apply for Scholarships?
Thanks for your enthusiasm! You are very pleasent to listen and to look at. Your videos are interesting and well made! A couple of thoughts: In reality the local public transportation is good only within the capitol area. In the few other bigger cities it is adequate. Everywhere else in Finland the local public transportation is either poor or non-existant. Bicycles naturally are easy to use everywhere - relatively easy even during the Winter. The national train system is rather good and some long distance buses operate as well. Outside Helsinki most people own cars - often it's a basic necessity. Speaking to foreigners about the social benefits as means to cover one's living expenses is misleading - to say the least. They are paid by the Finnish tax-payers and are an ever-growing, heavy burden. Please do not advertise them.

Thanks Timo for the comment. I felt like I need to clarify and hence the paragraphs :) I didn’t mention anything about social benefits covering one’s living expenses and also not sure whether living on social benefits is even possible? I talked briefly about Finland having good student and work benefits. By that, I meant about having student discounts for HSL tickets, being able to apply for student housing, having lunch benefits, having sports & cultural benefits from work... all those are social benefits and they enable residents with better life quality. Of course, I’ve heard about KELA support but I didn’t even bother to mention it since I don’t know much about how it works, how much it covers and also don’t feel like advocating something I’m not well aware of.
@ Perhaps I was listening to your video "like the devil reads the Bible", which I apologise for. I'm a bit sensitive of the topic. Unlike you, there are way too many foreigners (and Finns) misusing our welfare system. We welcome the immigrants, who benefit our society - just like you. The others we don't.
@@timoterava7108 There is a chronic unemployment situation in Finland, thus very unfair to shame the ones affected. In the case of international students need to show proof financial means while in Finland in order to get a visa
