America here. I am so happy to hear that you actually get something in return for paying taxes. How amazing to think that investing in the people in your country can be a good idea. Wish we had that here in the U.S.. I am enjoying your videos.
Oh yes! At least we get something in return here (at least so far). This might become an issue as the population is getting older and we have less tax payers but I guess this isn't an issue only in Finland. But a lot of things are definitely better than in the States. 😅 Thanks for watching!
@@MillaExplores I like your view

I love ur vlogs❤
Hello Milla, Finland sounds alot like Canada. The weather especially. I hate the winter's here. Cold and shitty for such a long time. Great video. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦🥂🥂🍻🍻
Yes! After talking with some Canadians, I've noticed that Finland and Canada has some similarities. Cheers!
Finland IS The only European Country - where ice hockey - IS The Biggest Sport ! We have two Finnish born players that has won The Calder Trophy - and The 2nd One scored 76 goals ! I bet that 98% - has no knowledge of The 1st One ! This IS a Q - that You May turn to a Fortune - just by asking - any hockey lover... Very Finnish Question ! Have Fun - and start asking...

'Loskapaska' is called 'Schietwetter' in northern Germany, which translates as "shit weather".
I (20) came from Germany to Finland last year at the end of November with my van and found a dreamlike piece of earth near Kolari and stayed. In the meantime I have bought a small house and I love my life here. This makes me the 4th from my school class who moved to one of the Nordic countries.
Two things give me small problems here - the language and the fact that I have to smuggle my beloved wine out of Germany every time.
The move didn't mean a big change for me at all, as Germany and Finland have a lot in common. This is also the case with the deposit system. This is exactly the same in both countries.
Pleasant aspect of my move - my absolute favorite band Nightwish is at home in Finland.
"Shitweather" makes sense haha! And I agree, Finland and Germany seem to have many things in common. I'm happy to hear you're loving life here! I love Nightwish too. ☺️ Finland is (in my humble opinion) a great place to live. I can imagine the language causing issues and wine is not cheap here! 😂
Great to hear - that You like IT here ! Here something to think about - IT IS only 6 months till Juhannus ! First Q #1 Have You heard of White Nights and know What those mean ? Yes - take a look at a Hollywood movie by the same name on RUclips ! The plot takes place 1985 - before The Wall went down... Whole movie was filmed in Finland - Kiitos to The Wall... #2 Have You ever heard a Finnish Baseball called PESÄPALLO ? Do Germans in general know Baseball ? This OUR game IS over 100 years old - and has its roots from USA - Boston Red Soxs ! Our game was played before 1917 - that IS Our Independence year - Dec 6 Day ! Take a Look at RUclips - Have Fun !
very interesting video
thank you! 😊
I work for a Finnish company remotely from other country. Finnish engineers are really smart. I would love to visit Finland someday.
That's cool! And what a nice compliment haha. Definitely recommend visiting Finland, it's best in the summer :)
Thanks Milla . Very nice to see your amicable videos . I will move to Helsinki soon . May I ask what secondhand website do you use or know ? For a foreigner to prepare for simple furnitures .
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Awesome! In Finland the most common secondhand websites would be Tori and also Facebook marketplace. 😊
If the sun never sets, you probably need to create an artificial day and night environment, like changing the brightness of lighting, thick curtains, and a big wall clock.
Yes, sometimes we do that! Blackout curtains are great in the summer and some people use a bright light in the winter. The wall clock isn't really necessary though. 😊
Great review, nice personality and none of the cringey 'youtube speak'. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks James! 😄
Nice Video & Well Done ! Could You do a video of Sports - that We play here ! #1 Ice Hockey ( #1 Sport as in Canada ) - #2 Finnish Baseball ( PESÄPALLO ) - that IS The only Team Finnish Sport ! being played over 100 seasons - so it has some great history ! #3 Ski jumping - We have been the best for years... #4 Bandy - Many never seen the sport... I am sure that almost everybody would like to know - our favorite pasttime ! Näkemiin - keep up The Good Work !
Thanks, kiitos! Maybe I'll do another video sometime about Finnish things and culture 😊
Mila,is your opinion where do you think is best for one can travel to ?
Love your videos! Come to Brazil sometime! I'm sure you gonna like it! I recomend you visit Ouro Preto (Minas Gerais State), Ilha Grande (Rio de Janeiro State), São Paulo and Fernando de Noronha!
Thank you!! I'd love to visit Brazil sometime. Thanks for the recommendations ☺️☺️
Have you been to Finland? ☺️👋🏻
I have been once... some 54 years
Not yet! Next year hopefully. Always has looked and sounded like a really great country. These cons you’ve listed all seem pretty manageable, perhaps with the exception of polar depression. And a lot of the pros are what other countries should be striving for.
@@Kerppu68Dec 6 IS Our Independence Day ! Since 1917
@@holoholopainen1627 Don't I know that
@@Kerppu68 Everybody knows that ! How Far are You ?
Nice Country Finland ❤
It is! ☺️
That"kaamosmasennus"doesn't affect everyone. I have lived in Finland my whole life. I like the darkness. Time to read. Study and play chess. Calm down.
It affects a lot of people though, more or less. Of course people are different & some might actually enjoy that time of the year 😊
Yes i definitely hate to live here😢 but my wife is Finnish so i kind of "have to" at the moment... weirdest culture I've been involved....
I'm sorry to hear that you're not enjoying it 😅 I myself love living in Finland but I understand that it's not for everyone 😊
@@MillaExplores You're Finnish though right?
I'm the same Michael, it's hard to get used to as a society. I have been here for years now and am heading home, just so many more opportunities for me back home and being back in a warm climate better for mental health.
What do you think about racism?
If you're asking my opinion about it, I wish it wouldn't exist but it's still an issue in many places and Finland is not perfect either, unfortunately. 💔
