I can’t wait for the 8’ version. I already have the truck. I envision essentially the same layout, with additional storage at the back end. No need to reinvent the wheel and make it more complicated with something like a wet bath.
I’ve been looking for the last 2.5 years for the right space to travel in & live from while on the road. I’m a photographer who’s on the road at least 150 nights a year, going all over the country. I love the layout. All of it. Don’t know the price yet, but it’s spot on what I’m looking for. Great job guys, will be getting in touch!
Thanks for the feedback! You can learn more about pricing and other details over on our website. Feel free to reach out via email or call our shop, we love to chat about the Outpost 6.5! outpost-campers.com/pricing/
I'm glad the power distribution panel was moved back down freeing up that overhead space. I noticed a vent next to the ECO FLOW panel. Is that a vent for the fridge?
This is probably my favorite truck camper in this class. Scout was at the top of my list but I am really like the power options, as well as an AC, and pricing seems to be competitive with Scout. If the pricing stays competitive with Scout, I see Outpost as the better option. A couple questions below - Is there a method to mount items on the exterior? i.e. Awning, Rotopax, etc - Is there a drain in the in-floor storage? Could be a better option than a folding basin for showers or for snow melt off shoes.
Thanks! Answers to your questions below: 1) We don't currently offer after market mounting options but we are hoping to get partners who can help with this soon! The back wall is lined with plywood and thus can be easily mounted to. We are hoping to add an awning option in the future as well! 2) No drain on the in-floor storage as the shell is completely sealed on the bottom for better thermal performance. We do offer a portable shower enclosure with basin for indoor showers and for storing wet gear.
This sounds like an excellent option with helpful updates. I do like the idea of the portable cooktop better. Is green the only color for the cabinets at this time? Would it be possible to attach a propane tank/box to the back of the camper somehow? After considering the Kimbo and Scout for some time, I am glad I found this camper option! Not only is it closer to where I am in Utah, but I want a true 4 season option. I like all of the campers for various reasons, but currently this one seems to have the best overall design and features. I am curious to see the future changes as well as the 8 foot option as I will probably get a Tundra for the vehicle and then determine which camper size works best.
Thank you for the feedback! @@Outpost_Campers Thank you for the reply and information! I will definitely stop by during business hours next time I am in the area. I subscribed to the newsletter for updates, looking forward to seeing what is upcoming. It would be cool to have blue cabinets/interior, but I realize that too much customization adds complexity to processes.
I love your 6.5. I really want a bathroom in our next truck camper. Will Outpost be making a 7.5 or 8 so that a wet bath can be built in? I subscribed so I will know if you announce a new floor plan :)

At this price point you need a bathroom. Dropping this kind of cash, but you still have to go outside in the dark, when it's raining, snowing, cold, with a shovel to take a poop just seems silly. "Here we have all the modern conveniences, 16000 watts of battery power, Arctic tern windows and door, composite panel construction...oh you have to take a crap? Here's shovel, go outside, find someplace private and dig a hole and take a big steaming crap in it."
Thanks for your comment! The Outpost 6.5 does come standard with a cassette toilet that is hidden under the bench by the closet. Take a look at the full tour video to get a more detailed overview of all the systems. The intention with this video was to highlight the few subtle detail changes. ruclips.net/video/ZhBK2y_uoF0/видео.html
@@Outpost_Campers And that's great in a pinch, but a person needs privacy. That's why, unless you're in prison there are doors on bathrooms or stalls. A bathroom shields both parties. Privacy for the user and a barrier from the various sites, and sounds and odors for those also occupying the camper. It's not a novelty. Truck camper manufacturers have been offering a bathroom for decades now. They offer them because they sell.
That’s what I’m also thinking about. And even if you take a look with the other campers this guy is saying like 6.5 with the cassette toilet there’s still no bathroom or privacy. It’s useless when you have someone else with in the camper and you need to take a leak/dump are you gonna do it in front of em.. cannot emphasize more, bathroom should be standard on this very expensive campers.
@@Outpost_Campers I love this style of camper because of the materials and modern cabinetry and style. I dig the panels, windows, doors, etc. If you can create a small bathroom you'll put your company on the map for many other people who absolutely need a bathroom. It can just be an option.
You spent more than half the time of this video talking about what didn't change and then the changes were so minor, I wondered what the point of this video really was.
I love it and also waiting for the 8' version! We are full time in our (old as dirt 98') Lance camper and have been living this lifestyle (on the road) since 2017. I would love to chat with you guys over at Outpost about some input that I've learned through the years if you're interested. Our lifestyle is very much outdoors (ultra running, rock climbing, Bikepacking and skiing). We like what you guys are doing. If you are interested you can check out my video of our remodel of the old camper. Cheers!
Good call with the stove being portable freeing up the counter space.
We couldn't agree more! More countertop space as well as the ability to cook outside!
I love that you optimize a product based off feedback. I wish more companies did this.

Very cool propane free...the main reason I did not go with a truck camper. Did not want to deal with propane. I have a van...but great looking rig!

So much better than a Scout camper.
Could you add a roof rack and carry something like kayaks on the roof?
We don't offer a rood rack option at the moment but are hoping to add partners who can do additional customizations like this one soon!
Will there be an option for an on demand water heater? Thanks!

Microwave option available?
We don't offer a microwave option at this time but the EcoFlow power system is certainly robust enough to power a microwave!
what is the dry weight of otpost 6.5 truck camper?
