The IBM version sucks, but it's still better than the Atari 2600 version. At least Donkey Kong actually looks like a gorilla here, and not a gingerbread man.
did you write this in turbo C or Djjp C ?, if so I could help you optimize the code for a little more speed or help with the input lag, if you'd like. but I must say great job and it looks great (a lot better than my early C projects from the mid 80's to early 90's. :)
You can tell by the title screen that I did not create this, Atari did. I also set it to run at 300 cycles as DOSBox tends to set it to 3000 cycles by default which makes it run too fast.
Actually, I did not see the title screen part or rather I just did not pay attention to it. so my bad just assumed you suck at programming like most people :)
@@TEST_2OO7run it at twice the speed, 600 cycles so that it runs fast enough so that the sounds are correct speed and slow enough so that it's playable
Oh boy! I remember this on my Tandy 1000 ex! It played a bit faster but man what a terrible awesome game lol!
DK looks like a pink yeti
You would only see that on an EGA card
This hurts my ears
blame the pc speaker
@TEST_2OO7 lol
fr like WHY IS IT SOOOOOO SLOWWWWWWW 😭😭😭😭💀💀
idk
@@TEST_2OO7 me neither :,>

While the other part, he looked like he crawled from the fiery depths of Hell.

@@EnderArloReacts Yeah, but the IBM ran at 4.77 Mhz which is about 300 cycles.
Even the MSX and ZX Spectrum versions sucks.
they're both very hard.
The Donkey Kong design looks like Pinkies from DooM which is funny since DooM released on DOS as well.
Is That A Lonely Goomba Reference?
@@gregtheradical Probably; I've seen his video. (It's very underrated.)
@@gregtheradicalI just came back from watching it before watching this for the first time.
And What talk abouf apple 2?
I think that version is slightly better.
