The Darkfever series by Karen Marie Moning is pretty good. I read it years ago and currently rereading it. Feel like it’s one of those that gets darker as the series continues.
love love love...would also love to see an updated house tour, I know you mentioned before about your attic space conversion thingy being done...would love to see that video.
me oh my,. I just wanna say thank you for still filming makeup tutorials, and making content for youtube! today is valentines day and I've just sat down for the first time in MONTHS to do my makeup. when I was younger I would always do this and thats actually how I learned and fell in love with makeup. But not many people I follow do this anymore and I miss it so much! it was so fun and nostalgic to "do my makeup with you" you also gave me some inspo and lit a bit of a fire in me for my love for makeup, so thank you
I consider myself a fantasy smut *PRO*. I am very discerning and have high standards and will only recommend when I feel like it's top shelf even though I myself will plow through anything lol. Maas is of course the queen...BUT kindle unlimited had some great gems this year! The Wolf King and How Does It Feel were the two that stood out to me. They are Enemies to Lovers, which is my fave trope and had endings that left you wanting more!
I love anything Sarah J Mass. I’ve just finished my ACOTAR re read and it was so much better second time round. I would reccomend Serpant and the Wings of Night, Powerless by Lauren Roberts and also One Dark Window
I’m in love with skin nova on my more mature skin! And I’m forever mixing foundations! Love both those nars but I also love adding a little of the L’Oréal freshwear to it, mainly for the undertones and longevity but also for the finish. I mix a little of the Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter or the elf version of that, the finish is beautiful and it can be beautifully sheered out to a medium coverage, because at nearly 50 I don’t want more than a medium at most these days! I do the same with the concealer! Huda, hourglass and Natasha denona is my current favourite for my mature under eyes. That said, those are my current favourites! When you have as many foundations and concealers as you and I do, it’s nice to use them all, so I’m working my way through my collection and rotate them every month or so!
If you love SJM's ACOTAR and ToG I highly recommend reading the Crescent City series if you haven't. It's a bit of a slow roll at first but it's so good!
Book Recs: The Serpent & The Wings of Night !! The Folk of the Air series!! And since you like JLA, Fall of Ruin and Wrath! And for sth less spicy, Once Upon A Broken Heart
Love a good book club recommendation!! You definitely need to delve into dark romance/mafia romance love Amo Jones Elite Kings Series and Rachel Van Dyken Eagle Elite! Love a GRWM tutorial with a few hints slipped in, bring on the setting spray and contour stick 😜
@@tessabutwithoutnumbers 40 is THE BESSST! I'm turning 42 on the third of February. I have never felt better about myself on the inside and who I am as a whole! I get so excited when people turn 40 lol. It's like NOW your life truly begins! There's a sexiness that real WOMEN have that just doesn't compete. It's a confidence that you have not hit yet until you're truly an adult woman. It's not about the way you look! It's about how you FEEL! Self doubt, low self esteem, low self confidence, comparisons to others, start to fall away! The mental beat downs we do to ourselves when we're younger, start to stop. Thinking that we aren't smart enough, rich enough, thin enough, pretty enough, successful enough, noticed enough, loved by others enough! We start to love OURSELVES enough! To accept that we truly are EXACTLY where we're supposed to be! Doing EXACTLY what we're supposed to be doing! I've been seeing loads of videos about gen z going batshit bonkers about being a quarter century old lol! Why? Because they only care and worry about looks and physical appearance. There's so much more to life and to us as individuals than looks! I wish I could tell all of them that you suddenly don't shrivel up like a prune on your 30th birthday lol! I'm almost 42 and I have an even skin tone. Don't have wrinkles. My face isn't sagging to my shoulders. I've never had Botox or fillers. I've never had a facial. I say this because 40 is not old! We still can easily have 50+ years of life left, God willing! I hope you had a fabulous birthday and congratulations on 40!💕
I recommend the Fae Isles series, Court of Blood & Bindings is first book, the final 4th book is coming in April so starting the reread on Feb 9 with the author, Lisette Marshall. It's a 4 book series plus 1 novella and she said she may be expanding the world past the main couple. SO EXCITED - I just finished HOFAS yesterday. That's all I'll say about that in case you haven't read yet.
Awe Jamie!! This lipstick totally reminds me of your Mac lipstick! Awe and your favorite jacket!! This completely took me back to that time on your channel! 🥰💕
Beautiful GRWM Jamie😍💚!! Hope you and your girls had a fun night out for book club😁. Thank you for sharing lovey, take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend 💙.
Watching this while using my new Rose eye wand & Rosa liquid blush 🩷 sooo excited for a contour stick and setting spray?! Also would LOVE to see a body scrub launch to add to the bathleisure collection 🤍🤍
I had that sicky virus that was going around just before Christmas & i had it for 19 days. I honestly couldn’t keep anything down so i feel for Romy & yourself being poorly. xXx
Awesome makeup and hair tips as per normal. I wish we could hear some of your full on book banter! I used to be into fantasy but ts purely crime procedurals and thrillers. Love Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad series, Ann Cleeves and David Peace books. Anything by Annie Proulx, Toni Morrison or Cormac McCarthy.
I'm new to considering your makeup products but have been completely drawn to your Dawn blush palette but it's out of stock everywhere. When will you possibly restock this?xx
I think an online bookclub is needed!! You need to read Crescent City series by Sarah Maas (book 1 it was hard to get into for me but after a few chapters of meeting all the characters it was good) book 3 is coming out next week and at end of book 2 a character literary lands in the ACOTAR world. Maas is brilliant
Love the blush technique and your explanation...a real education! I'm a make-up geek so love hearing these little titbits Jamie...it doesn't go unnoticed!
Did u forget to fill in your eyebrows?! Or did I miss that part!?! ❤ love you! And LOVE your vieve concealer! Better than NARS radiant creamy concealer!
Books to read, It Ends With Us (1st book) & It Start's With Us (2nd book), by Colleen Hoover. Those are a 2 book series but also Verity by the same Author. I haven't read it yet, but The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros is supposed to be really good, its next on my list! You look beautiful by the way!!!
Could you do an affordable skin routine from Sephora. The skin products you use are always more than $80-$100. Could you recommend lower cost Sephora brands (not Sephora brand itself lol)
The video felt very nostalgic Jamie! I’ve been watching you for so long ❤ thank you for the recommendation list 😉 A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows is AMAZING if you haven’t already read. By Holly Renee (thank me later) xxxx
Tell me youv read crescent city !!! 🤞🏻 other than that masterpiece you’d maybe like the plated prisoner series ? And if you wanna try something outside of fantasy I think you might like the mindf*ck series don’t judge it by it’s covers tho 🤣
Do you find the eyeshadow base lasts? I just brought 2 of your eye sticks and they don’t last on my lid. I do have oily lids but not sure if they are meant to last without anything on top or not
My FAVE series:
ACOTAR
Throne of Glass
Zodiac Academy (that’s the one I forgot)
Flesh & Fire
The Bridge Kingdom
The Darkfever series by Karen Marie Moning is pretty good. I read it years ago and currently rereading it. Feel like it’s one of those that gets darker as the series continues.
Which one would you recommend reading first?? I really want to get back into fantasy but I feel overwhelmed
@@megsssss probs Acotar but make sure you get to the end of the 2nd book!!

I did like Crescent City but no where near as much as the rest 😩😩😩
@@jamiegenevieve Completely understandable as I preferred the other series as well! I'm very excited for CC3 on the 30th though! 🤗
Lady of Darkness series by Melissa Roehrich. So 👏🏻 good 👏🏻 gives TOG vibes for sure.
I’ve really wanted to start a book club and this has been my push! I love Normal People by Sally Rooney and Dark Places by Gillian Flynn!
Normal People tv series is unreal - I might have to read the book too!!
Book Recs: The Serpent & The Wings of Night !! The Folk of the Air series!! And since you like JLA, Fall of Ruin and Wrath! And for sth less spicy, Once Upon A Broken Heart
