And this one (Phantom Blade 0) looks like its art style was inspired by the art of Guweiz (but I could be wrong). It also reminds me of OTOGI from back in the days of the original X-Box.
Can I add abit of my impressions? This Phantom Blade looks more Naraka Bladepoint, Sengoku Musou type rather than a Dark souls, Elden Ring type. I'm long time player of Naraka Bladepoint, I'm excited too yeah! I hope we got the hot China women from Naraka in here, Matari, Yoto Hime, Valda Cui, they must be in this game somewhere yeah... You know who those are right?
This is a must buy. The gameplay, music, & animations have already sold me. I love how fluid & fast paced it is. It Feels like a martial arts / sword play movie.
Western studios too busy being woke and greedy. Asian studios over here actually making games! I’ll probably be playing this one as well especially since it’s more combo oriented like Stellar Blade and not soulslike. I really love how everything looks but the sounds in particular really stand out for me, that’s amazing sound design on the weapon clashing.
I absolutely can't wait for this game. I know this video is a bit older but have you tried wu long fallen dynasty? That game I feel is a cross between sekiro and nioh 2. It's fucking awesome
When it was announced on the Playstation livestream this game was my most anticipated game to play i fell in love with what i saw specifically the dual wield blades was cool
On certain aspects yes, it’s way more fast paced to me but it still keeps that skill gameplay of blocking and parrying which makes it more strategic and less button mashy
Seems that this game is leaning much further into DMC/Ninja Gaiden territory a bit more than Stellar Blade did. Even before the latter game we’ve had a massive drought in proper hack & slash games despite Devil May Cry 5’s massive success. Yeah there’s the Souls-likes and lites like Code Vein (which I really loved) that somewhat tapped into what I want but it’s not the same. Hope there’s more weapon variety as well as alternate costumes because I like what I’m seeing.
The developer said that there will be at least 30 weapons in the game and from what i see every weapon has its own combo. The interview/demo playthrough is on IGN.
Yup, this game is a must buy. The gameplay looks crisp, and graphics truely look next-gen. Nothing really that has dropped this year, has looked or felt next-gen.
@jtheconcept4143 bro, these asians are smoking the West when it comes to quality video games and innovation. Giving us bad ass dope stuff that we actually want. The last western game that was actually really good was Ghost of Tsushima by sucker punch, and that was ages ago.
'😊He resembles the jeeper creepers dude in the cornfield ' Phantom blade looks awesome....rise of the ronin is my game of the year (it's in the details)!😊 Let's hope it ain't shallow 🙏
Bro I still haven't played Stellar Blade cause I'm too busy, but how would you compare that combat to Phantom Blade? These 2 are the best combat we've seen in years in gaming. Also, the lore is the main character has been cursed and has 66 days Live. He's trying to get his heart back to break the curse. Also once he defeats a villain, I think he steals their weapon, which is a trope in china
Stellar blades combat system is more combo centric and defense. This game seems to be going down that route. It’s not a button masher by any means which I like. And thanks for the lore! I love that 66 days to live plot device and the fact that he takes weapons from enemies! I’m even more excited for the anime when it drops
Ehem...... s'cuse me...... "The Perciever" "Where Winds Meet" annnnnnnd theres another one i cant remember.... but not sure about it, the theme is similar.... but theres a horror vibe about it, and the protagonist is female...... again, not too sure about it as theres not much apart from a demo from years ago.... i think it was even shown at the xbx show just now.... and obviously theres that Sony backed one with the talking flying skateboarding sword i cant remember now..... Theres literally tons coming out of China, just under the radar! F.I.S.T. was one and it was indie and i think went under the radar! obviously Genshin Impact, Honkai Starrail, Z Z Z are others from Hoyoverse! Wukong, The Perciever, Phantom Blade 0, Where Winds Meet look visually at least ambitious! I hope they live up to expectations as they look like they have huuge funding behind them with orchestral music and theme osts, voice acting, mocapping, famous Chinese HK fight choreographer etc! not Yuen Woo Ping but Tung Wai with a CV to match! Also that dress up Nikki game XDDDD Bring on the Chinese games i say! Japan has obviously bowed out and in recession and not the super power they were in the industry, they dont have the funding or the backing, dont know why that is...... South Korea is smaller than Japan as well as less experienced on console China and the rest of Asia will be the juggernauts filling the void Japan has left
Yeah Japan has been too involved in the American industry and are kinda combining their ways with ours. Which ends up giving you games like Final Fantasy 16 lol 😂
Eastern games are where it's at for real. I remember playing many Eastern MMORPGs on PC because they were the shit, and I have always wondered why the market isn't coming to consoles because they could make bank and reach more audiences. I'm glad we got developers from all over now because now you know they aren't forced to put any ideology or DEI bullshit down your throat unlike the US and EU...
It seems to me is that these studios are trying put their bid in before Black Myth comes out.Although, they're decent games they're trying to compete with a game that's not even out yet.🤔🤔
I don’t think they’re competing, I just think it’s an inspiration type of thing. The style that wukong, phantom blade, and stellar blade has are going to be the future of action games overseas. They will be furthering themselves from the soulslike genres more and more and going for the more fast paced but strategic action route.
The studio was inspired by classic Hong Kong martial arts movies, with their action director being Kenji Tanigaki, who's been Donnie Yen's protegee since the late 90s. Over the past few years, he's been coming into his own, which Donnie Yen has also actively tried to help him with.
First Stellar Blade now Phantom Blade 0. These new IPs from the Asian market are makin waves 😤
And this one (Phantom Blade 0) looks like its art style was inspired by the art of Guweiz (but I could be wrong).

And black myth wukong
This is a must buy. The gameplay, music, & animations have already sold me. I love how fluid & fast paced it is. It Feels like a martial arts / sword play movie.
It reminds me of a darker version of the movie Hero with Jet Li.
That boss’s weapon is from the Flying Guillotine movies. Classic martial arts films. I’m excited too for this.
I know that movie. Classic masterpiece
Oh you speaking my language 😂
@@jtheconcept4143 thats the same weapon that killed bushido brown on the boondocks
Shaw brothers 1975 movie

Exactly it hit all the right notes for me personally 👌😮💨. I give my money to them lol
I'm definitely purchasing this. I can't wait for Black Myth WuKong either.
Oh Black Myth is very high on my list ☝️
Yeah we need more games like this and stellar blade
Brand new innovative IPs ☝️
stellar blade is innovative? lmao@@jtheconcept4143
don't know about stella blade but this game combat and action will make me play this game for 10 years without getting bored.
It definitely looks like very deep combat system 👌
I'm waiting for the final sequel: " Sexxy Blade".
I think we all are 😮💨
@@jtheconcept4143 If we did get that sequel, we can alter the female character 's attire to female rappers, hip hop artists and K Pop bands.
I feel so represented by a good ass game. The animations are so good.

Same! This combat system looks super slick and stylish 💪🔥🔥
Been waiting a year for more info on this game and honestly I like what I see 🔥
Super promising for now! Let’s hope it stays that way till the finish line 🫡
@@jtheconcept4143 I hope they don't censor the gore
Reminds me a lot of Sekiro. Definition day one buy. 🔥
On certain aspects yes, it’s way more fast paced to me but it still keeps that skill gameplay of blocking and parrying which makes it more strategic and less button mashy
This game has for sure been on my radar. I also loved that mid-war aesthetic kind of like Sekiro has. Day one buy for me
Yeah I always liked that aesthetic in games

Same with me, Wukong and this look like actual next gen games 👌
I think the weapons are being manifested by some phantom ability, idk
This game looks amazing.

Every game would be improved by that lol

Ok the system looks like an upgrade of the battle system on a ps2 game called bugengui the lost city. I think that is what it was called.
The action in that PV is an execution animation, and it's hard to hit it in real life with a glitch close behind you while executing the target
That sounds exciting, I like that the flashy moves are difficult to pull off, it makes it more satisfying 👌
Just like Sekiro, it's not for the weak!
