Bulman (1985) Series 1, Ep5 "The Name of the Game" TV Crime Drama (Leslie Grantham, Lesley Manville)

A criminal's widow wants revenge on the policeman who killed him. Bulman joins forces with organised crime to stop a war.
For some reason George Sewell is uncredited in this episode. Also, an early performance from a youthful Lesley Manville, and Eastender's "Dirty Den" Lesllie Grantham gets himself into an eventful police car chase following a caper, getting to learn that if your live by the shooter.... A return visit too for John Benfield. I recognised also the carpark attendant as Brian Bovell from two '80s comedies: Gimme Gimme Gimme and Prospects; though that's going back a fair bit, he's been in loads else since.

@@FoogouFilms Traditional Telly, ahhh yes, I can almost remember that. Adverts every 20 minuets, not every 10. A pause in-between the program and the adds. I miss that way we used to watch commercial TV.

Dirty Den barking, "Move, sl__!" before peeling off in the Capri. Quite the hilarious moment to me when I first watched this.
This was obviously filmed before he started terrorizing the ancient terraces of Albert Square.

Maybe this got him the part in Eastenders; must have been only just before it began.

@@FoogouFilms Ah, I stand corrected. EastEnders premiered before Bulman did, so Grantham must have found some time during his busy schedule to film his brief appearance here.
