Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free reactions! Home Free is the best! I don't even think of them as an acapella group anymore but just my favorite band. They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. Their beatboxer ( who is singing in the harmonies here) can't be beat. Tim Foust is the bass, Austin Brown ( high tenor ) sang the chorus, Rob Lundquist, tenor ( glasses), Adam Chance , the baritone sang last. Adam Rupp, on the end of the line, is the beatboxer.
Home Free is an a cappella band. They have a tremendous beatboxer who can do drums, harmonica and a host of other sounds but also sing. They can be serious or silly depending on the song. They are known for tremendous harmonies like this song. For more beautiful harmonies try Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own songs. Good reaction! 😍 Have a wonderful New Year!
There is the "Home Free smile" that people new to Home Free get almost as soon as the music starts. And, yes, it is amazing how well 5 truly different voices meld into one sound. Home Free has many sounds - country, rock, pop, sacred, comedic....and they have over 180 official videos for you to enjoy. I see you reacted to Dire Straits Brother in Arms a while back - you might check out Home Free's cover of it. It, too, has no beatboxing, just 5 voices.
Loved it! Home Free is an amazing group that can be serious ( Brothers in Arms, Everybody Walking this Land, Helplessly Hoping ) Goofy ( Between a Rock and a Heartache, Thank God I'm a country boy, All about that Bass, Working for a Living) , Moving ( Country Roads take Me home, How Great thou Art, in the Blood ) Amazing Mashups ( Butts remix, Country Fried Pop, Women, Amen/Female) or Simply Great originals ( Land of the Free, Dive Bar Saints, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Road Sweet Road , Stargazer Lillies , Might as Well Be Me) and has Had collaborations with Kenny Rogers ( Children go where I send thee) and the Oakridge Boys ( Elvira, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem) among others including Avi Kaplan formerly of Pentatonix ( Ring of Fire) Subbing in the hope of more Home Free Btw That is the Beatboxer Adam Rupp aka the Human Drum Kit playing the "NoMonica" ( all the sounds you hear are made by the human voice and throat)
Welcome to the party! Another great introduction to their work would be their recent releases of Stand by Me and Colder Weather. But Man of Constant Sorrow is a #homefree classic that showcases more of the beatboxer's incredible talents.
Welcome to Home Free! This vocal band has been my favorite of the amazing a cappella groups so popular over the last decade. Their diversity sends them down all genre paths, and their arrangements are always beautiful and/or surprising. I enjoyed your genuine reaction to the voices -- talent recognized!
Welcome to Home Free. Strap in, Buckle up, Hold on because you are about to embark on a journey that will push your bar for how good quality music should sound like far beyond what you might think would be possible. The band members have already been mentioned by others but I advise you to keep tissues close because some of their songs will bring tears. May I recommend their version of Brothers in arms. It's a fantastic rendition of a classic and one that I (being a veteran) hold as one of their best ever.
They are an acapella group, with no instruments. The one that didn't sing a solo is their beatboxer, he does sing with them in 5 part harmony when not beatboxing such as this one.

Great reaction, Inna! This was a fantastic introduction to, IMO, the best acapella band on youtube. I think you would really enjoy going deeper into their catalog.
Oh, Home Free is definitely a special group! They are a cappella, and consider themselves Country A cappella, but they’re so much more! They’ve covered many, many different genres! I hope you consider reacting to more of their music! They have many covers and originals on RUclips! This is a very special one for me, and my favorite version of this song!
Happy New Year! This song is a perfect introduction to Home Free. Those close harmonies of theirs are addicting.Great reaction. I hope to see more from you.
Auld Lang Syne! Directly translated from the Scots language to modern English as "old long since," but can be interpreted in practice as "times long past". If anyone was wondering! :)
They have almost 400 videos to choose from, both covers and originals. There are a lot of "Home Fries" (Home Free fans), so you could probably hit 100k just by doing Home Free reactions. You might try their version of "Man of Constant Sorrow " to get a general idea of their talent...
They very rarely will include a manufactured instrument (guitar or violin are the two I remember) but usually just manage to give the impression of same (like harmonica or jaw harp). You can hear both of those impressions in their cover of the 100+ year old Man of Constant Sorrow and you can hear them sounding like a church pipe organ in Brothers in Arms (including the foot pedals). Or if you just want to bop and have a good old time try Listen to the Music, Can't Stop the Feeling, or Hillbilly Bone. Don't do Mayday until you can look at a face and hear the voice in your head or you won't be as impressed as you should be.
They are strictly a cappella. Tim Foust is the bass that began the song and has an incredible range of around 5 octaves. His low range is definitely subwoofer land. To get a hint of his capabilities check out the collaboration that Home Free did with Ari from Pentatonix of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire. The last note is jaw dropping.
A quibble - they have a few songs with instruments. However, in all but one, you see the instruments if they have them. That one exception was written and led by Austin Brown: the name of the song escapes me just now, but it is obvious there is a guitar.
YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ANY HOME FREE PERFORMANCE!! Hands down true statement. They are a cappella perfection. You will fall in love with each member and with the group. Talented beyond measure, nicest guys you could ever meet, and just musical perfection. Enjoy!!!
Cheating here: Copied this from someone who did all the work: The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. Home Free is exclusively an acapella group but they occasionally team up with others where an instrument is used, BUT it's very evident that an instrument is being used. A good example is "GIVIN' UP ON YOU" featuring Texas Hill. You are going to become addicted to this fantastic vocal band! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Happy New Year, Inna! You picked the very best for reaction. Each of the guys in Home Free is so talented in his own right. Their harmony is the tightest I’ve ever heard. They can sing any genre and have some great original music. They can make you cry, they can make you laugh. They are HOME FREE! And they never disappoint in their performances! They have untold thousands of very loyal fans called Homefries. Thank you for your good reaction.
New subscriber. Great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas that excel in all music genres. They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, American Pie featuring Don McLean, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints, The Driver, Crazy and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone and Ray Stevens' Mississippi Squirrel Revival. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Unchained Melody, Listen to the Music, Brother and Stargazer Lilies trilogy: Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies and Mr. ...Their latest releases are Might As Well Be Me, Playing With Fire, Remember My Name, Oh, Pretty Woman, Cruise, Stand By Me and Life is a Highway. To switch it up..try Two Country Singers try singing Opera. Adam Chance just wrote the theme song to Ubisoft's new Pirate themed video game, Skull and Bones and Home Free performs it. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
Others have already responded, but Home Free is amazing! They are known for their tight harmonies and for sharing the lead on their songs, as you saw here. I encourage you to check out their other videos.
One of the all time best a capella groups around! They can go from making you cry to feeling great to rolling on the floor laughing! 😅Any song you choose from them is a winner! 💖 I just subbed in hopes of more Home Free reactions!
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. It runs deep! They are an all acapella group, no instruments. Everything you hear comes from their mouths. Please keep reacting to Home Free! Love your reaction!
You won't go wrong with any of Home Free's videos! I love how they keep a lot of their video environments simple--allows the focus to be on their incredible acapella vocals. Just amazing 5-part harmonies! Home Free makes every song better!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging
Home Free is an acapella group though they do have one song with instruments. 'Skull And Bones' which a big gaming company asked Adam Chance (red and tan suit) to write for a game by the same name. Austin (long red-brown hair, higher voice) plays the mandolin and Chance (Adam Chance goes by Chance because the beatboxer is _also_ an Adam) plays the guitar. That's really the only song the group does with instruments though, everything else is the human voice. Some of the members also do solo stuff on their own youtube channels and that stuff often has instruments.
So happy you reacted to this song!! You have come across one of the best a cappella bands around!! Dive right in and listen to their beautiful harmonies!… how great thou art;… End of the road; Stand by me;… amazed;… God bless the USA;… Listen to the music;… Bless the broken road. When a man loves a woman;… Folsom prison blues!! Those are just a few of the fantastic songs they have recorded! They never let you down!! Happy new year!!
As far as I'm concerned, Home Free are THE best musical group in the musical arena. So versatile, multi talented, hard working, humble, and genuine; with a wide variety of mad skills amongst them. Their fan base, called Home Fries, are fiercely loyal and Home Free love and appreciate their fans as well. Great reaction.
These Awesome guys are so Amazingly Talented…..they do all genres …..fun, serious….you name it….they are addictive for sure….they have over 300+ terrific videos here on RUclips…….i really hope you do more!!!!! The Home Free Rabbit Hole is one amazing trip……jump in & Enjoy ‼️‼️💗‼️‼️
Thank you for your great first-time reaction to Home Free. If you like and enjoy great music from musicians and especially 'A Capella' then you are in for a treat! They each have tremendous talent which seems to magically mesh together, giving us an auditory treat, unlike any others.... I am not one to make comparisons with other musicians, so I will not go there. As true lovers of good music, no matter the genre, we can all enjoy good music without diminishing any other artists. Much like ourselves, each and everyone is uniquely gifted. Home Free, in particular, are very versatile in their musical offerings and also project a side which doesn't take themselves too seriously - of course, excluding their musical offerings. One of my favourite things to do is to observe how listeners react to HF's music, giving us a glimpse of their own personal scale. Having said the above, do be ready to enjoy a wide, wide variety of wonderful 'a capella' music with unique blending of harmonies, which at times seem heavenly! Equally, they are just as silly as can be. Another lesser attributed quality is that Home Free (as a whole) has basic humane beliefs which they are not afraid to espouse. A definite rare and courageous quality. I am so happy for them that they are not a pre-packaged, and contrived group/band which is led by the whims of immediate fads. They present so well that they continue to fill our hearts with joy and compassion for all others. Finally, welcome to the Home Free's fan base called the 'Home Fries!' I can only hope you enjoy Home Free enough to be considered one of us. 🤩
Please, do more Home Free, Your subscriptions will blow-up if you keep reacting to them. I'll be one of them. New subscriber for more Home Free. Happy New Year. I hope it's a prosperous and healthy one. For your next reaction try Home Free "Man Of Constant Sorrow."
From left to right: Adam Rupp, beat boxer amd vocalist. Adam Chance, baritone/bass. Tim foust, bass through tenor. Rob Lundquist, tenor. Austin Brown, high tenor. Theyre primarily a capella but they do instrumentals too, especially when performing with other groups. Each of them also does personal performances apart from the group.
Happy New Year ! I'm just subbed for more Home Free reactions. These guy have just about the best harmonies you'll ever hear. They are mostly acapella, but use an instrument here and there, but 8 times out of 10 they are acapella. Recommendation for your next Home Free reaction would be their latest Colder Weather and also I want crazy.....those should give you a great idea of what they can do.
That first singer is Tim Foust. He mostly sings bass. The next singer, a high tenor, is Austin Brown. The next singer, also a tenor, is Rob Lundquist. Then the baritone, Adam Chance, known as Chance, had a fairly standard baritone range lead. Adam Rupp did not have a lead and sang backup. He is usually quite busy doing beatboxing and other sound effects, so he doesn't get a lot of leads. Adam Rupp has a rather high tenor range, which really helps with beatboxing and other sounds. They do about 95% A Cappella. They sometimes do collaborations with guest artists that use instruments, such as Texas Hill or Maggie Baugh. They did a song for a pirate themed game which required instruments : Skull and Bones. They did a tiktok style Sea Shanty Medley, where Chance thumps on a guitar body for a little percussion, but that was in keeping with the style of the Wellerman videos, so they were just keeping in character. You might want to try their How Great Thou Art, which is another classic song and done in straight 5 part harmony like this one. Most of their songs have some beatboxing and other interesting sound effects. Many of their songs are country or country-ish. Sometimes they just delve into some 70s or 80s folk/rock, like Listen To The Music, Take Me Home Country Roads or Delta Dawn. They do some straight old fashioned country : Crazy, Ring Of Fire, Folsom Prison Blues. One of the surprises was Tim's love for soul and early rock songs, so they do a great job on Love Train and When A Man Loves A Woman. My favorites are their laid back, soft country songs like Moonshine. You just missed the perfect time to react to all their Christmas songs. 4 or 5 albums. They did a great remake of American Pie with the original artist, Don Mclean. Also, a nice version of Ed Sheeran's "Castle On The Hill".
I want to live long enough to spend my grandson's 9th birthday with him and my son and daughter-in-law. He told me the other day that he hopes I'll be there but understands that I may not be. Was diagnosed with lung cancer 3 months ago and have opted to no chemotherapy. I hope you will check out more songs by Home Free as they are an incredible group and perform beautifully together. Tim Faust has some of his own music on his channel which you would enjoy as he does all the harmonies himself. Austin also has his own channel with a lot of great songs as well.
As a group they are always A Cappella. When they go solo sometimes they have accompaniment. You should check out their version of "Helplessly Hoping", "In the Blood", or "When a man loves a woman". Good reaction.
These guys are so good! This is not normally a very interesting song, just because most aren’t aware of what it’s saying. When HF does anything they make it really interesting, regardless of the message. Check out this one from Pentatonix ruclips.net/video/nIR2GR254S8/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Inna I heard a acapella group called voice play. They did the song nothing else matters it was so incredible. Happy New year Inna you will reach that 100 K. I totally respect you and all the hard work u do with your other platforms.❤😊
My dear, PLEASE do yourself and your RUclips channel a favor and profoundly explore this fantastic group. You will not be disappointed! Your RUclips plaque awaits. 😉
Home Free are an excellent acapella group. I saw you enjoyed Bothers in Arms, you might like their cover (very deep, vocally and topic) - it was made for Memorial Day and it’s very touching. Their iconic RUclips song is Man of Constant Sorrow which highlights their ability to fill the soundscape with all sorts of vocal talents, it’s quite something. Enjoying your reactions.
Hope you do more Home Free....if you really want to grow your subscriber base come down the Home Free "rabbit hole"...more than 300 videos to delve into and a rapidly voracious fan base called Home Fries you will add thousands. Try "Man of Constant Sorrows" (the traditional beginning point of contact for most RUclips reactors), then "Ring of Fire", "End of the Road", "When a Man Loves a Woman", "Sea Shanty Medley" (live version please). SAVE "Mayday" until you know the singer's names and ranges for a special delightful surprise. Follow up with "Brothers in Arms", "Go Rest High on that Mountain" and " How Great Thou Art" for PERFECT a cappella renditions. Then be amazed by their humor and artistry with the "Butts Medley", "Brother" and "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget". Also check out the solo projects from each singer as well as their collaborations with artists like Kenny Rodgers, the Oakridge Boy and Don Maclean. Really, their talents and genres are limitless! Welcome, Happy New Year🎉🎉🎉🎉!
I’m going to subscribe to your channel in hopes of seeing you react to more Home Free. This group of guys are the absolute best A cappella group on RUclips and maybe the world. They have toured all over the world by the way. Several trips to Europe.
Welcome to the homefree rabbit whole. Homefree fans are known worldwide as homefries. If you get a chance you should check out Adam Rupp's beat boxing drum solo videos out there on youtube that fans have taken at their concerts.

Subscribed for #HomeFree ❤ this the best version! Yes, they're a country acapella band
This song and video highlights all their talents not only the singers but also Darren Rust their producer in his studio where this was recorded.
Darren is the secret sixth member no one knows of, it was nice to see them include him in this.
Happy New Year! 🎉
I think you're gonna love them they're one of the best occapella groups out there if I could make any suggestion do ring of fire
A cup of kindess would be the equivalent od Christmas cheer. So its a toast.
Great reaction to a beautiful song. Nice to hear Adam Rupp singing on this one. All of their voices, as usual, are crystal clear.
❤ 🎶 👏 👏 👏
Happy New Year to you 🙌
Inna, excellent song and version to end this year. Happy New Year and a marvelous 2024!!!!!
Yes, they're an acapella group, but almost any other one of their videos will completely demolish your ideas of what an acapella group can be.
That one exception was written and led by Austin Brown: the name of the song escapes me just now, but it is obvious there is a guitar.
happy New Year talented one
YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ANY HOME FREE PERFORMANCE!! Hands down true statement. They are a cappella perfection. You will fall in love with each member and with the group. Talented beyond measure, nicest guys you could ever meet, and just musical perfection. Enjoy!!!
Happy New Year. They sing Helplessly Hopeing also has AMAZING harmonies ❤They have done several AMAZING covers as well as original work.❤
THANK YOU GOT THE REACTION! CHEERS!!
Cheating here: Copied this from someone who did all the work: The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do so so much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. There is no Lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam )sing the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time they each have a part in the song. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys.
Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire ( 41) can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota.
Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) ( 40 )very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota
Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) ( 42 ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas
Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair )( 37 ) voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia.
Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass ( 39 ) deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016)
They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean:American Pie
Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira
Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message)
Billy Gilman:One Voice
Alabama:Christmas In Dixie
Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end )
Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA
Any many more. They have 3 amazing songwriters in the group Tim,Austin and Chance So they have a very large playlist of covers and original songs End of the Road (Boyz 2 Men cover ) When A Loves A Woman Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony masterpiece ) Unchained Melody Butts Medley/ Remix Listen To The Music Can’t Outrun You Brothers In Arms Stargazer Trilogy( All Originals written by Austin) Give Me A Sign ( Chapter 1) Stargazer Lilies( Chapter 2) MR (Chapter 3) Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft new video game Skull And Bones) Might As Well Be Me ( Original) Playing With Fire ( Original) Remember My Name (Original) Oh Pretty Woman Life Is A Highway Stand By Me Cruise I Want Crazy Christmas In LA ( Newest Release Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 200+ catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble really nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is IMO Sorry for the long read
And there's that Home Free smile. They have a very deep and varied catalog. Amazing harmonies. Best a cappella group out there, I think.
Subscribed for more #HomeFree. I love them. Great reaction!! Happy New Year 🎊
Home free is such a great group that you and their fans (Home fries) will enjoy the ride. God bless
Happy New Year! Please explore more by this amazing vocal band - #HomeFree never disappoints!
You need to check out more of their songs.
I just subbed in hopes of more Home Free reactions!
This is a beautiful song, loved the reaction thank you for sharing 😊
First time hearing Home Free? It won't be your last. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
absolute sincere reaction; you are the extra dimension.
Home Free is a phenomenal a cappella group, in fact my favorite with Pentatonix a close second. Also a wonderful group of gents.
#HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging
Home Free is an acapella group though they do have one song with instruments. 'Skull And Bones' which a big gaming company asked Adam Chance (red and tan suit) to write for a game by the same name. Austin (long red-brown hair, higher voice) plays the mandolin and Chance (Adam Chance goes by Chance because the beatboxer is _also_ an Adam) plays the guitar. That's really the only song the group does with instruments though, everything else is the human voice. Some of the members also do solo stuff on their own youtube channels and that stuff often has instruments.
They have more than just Skull and Bones, but only a very few- and the instrument will be visible.
Home Free fans (called Home Fries) are a loyal and generally nice bunch of people. We will subscribe and hope for more Home Free reactions.
Thank you for reacting to a unique a capella group.
One of the few songs I wish would never end. Happy New Year to you and all the best in 2024! 🥳✨🕊️🍾✨
Happy New Year. New sub for more Home Free!!
From left to right:
Adam Rupp, beat boxer amd vocalist.
Home Free has a very large selection of music to listen to. Pick any song, and you won't be disappointed.
Great reaction, just subscribed hope g to see more Home Free Reactions.
#HOMEFREE. Thank you.
Welcome to the best Acapella group around. These guys are so talented and can sing any genre. CK out Man of Constant Sorrow
These guys are so good! This is not normally a very interesting song, just because most aren’t aware of what it’s saying. When HF does anything they make it really interesting, regardless of the message.
Check out this one from Pentatonix

The absolutely best and most impressive Acapella Group out there, in my opinion! Happy New Year!
That bass singer’s name is Tim Foust; he has a true five octave vocal range! Enjoy!
Voices in order, bass, high tenor, tenor and baritone. The only one not featured is also tenor//beatboxer.
Home Free can be explained with two words ... Ear Candy. =) =)
Welcome to the homefree rabbit whole. Homefree fans are known worldwide as homefries. If you get a chance you should check out Adam Rupp's beat boxing drum solo videos out there on youtube that fans have taken at their concerts.
