Watching the Shadow boss fight, made really wish you could play as some of the other character in Sonic games nowadays. I would really like to see how Knuckles, Tails, and heck even Big would play in a modern day Sonic game

I'm disappointed at the fact that Perfect Chaos still has 4 hits in "Hard mode" whereas the rest of the Bosses has more than that. Why can't Perfect Chaos have more than 4 hits in "Hard mode" ?
You meant with A? It only seems to be for clearing debris so it doesn't get in the way. Though debris is seen so infrequently and charging slows you down as well so I just prefer to dodge them instead.

...REALLY!!! Sonic can take on Perfect Chaos without the chaos emeralds?...Then why the hell does he need to go super if he's going to beat him in normal form?

Maybe because, according to the Gaia manuscripts, or I guess the plot of the story really, Dark Gaia only awakens every 1,000 years.

We ended up getting Shadow in Sonic Forces, but the levels weren’t fun at all unfortunately
