Can't believe that of all the known parts that could fail on a car, this is the one I have to deal with. Thanks for the video.

My Pontiac Vibe radio knobs have been broken for 6 years now! And all the car shops kept saying that I would have to replace for ENTIRE radio! I’m so happy I found this video, now I can finally fix it myself!

Worked like a charm! I was all ready to take the whole radio out and apart as other videos have described, but I am so glad that I came across this little hack. It took me a total of 10 minutes. I used a utility knife to cut off the flange on the new knob instead of the snips like you did here, and I needed a tiny flat head screwdriver to pry off the old metal sleeve. Thanks so much for posting!!

I just did this success! God bless you. Don’t forget to punch it back in to level out.

Ordered them from the dealer a few weeks ago, June 2021, they were on back order at the time but now are back in stock, July 10, 2021
Back in stock, picked them up. Installed in the GT, easy peasy, thank you for the how to!

i always thought the knob part inside the radio is gone bad, which used to happen with old radio and music systems, that time you have to remove that knob assembly and connect the wires to the specific one, way tooooo complicated, just now realized its not that. going to do the same repair on my radio. need those tools first. and the knob. thanks

Update. It's working perfectly fine after 3 years. Thank you so so much. I wanted to keep the stock radio for it's classic look and thank God and you it's working best. Yes sometimes the knob jumps out but it's not big deal to put it back

Mike Erdman Toyota in Cocoa, FL doesn't have them and parts guy said they can't get them. Can't special order them.
And they're a big dealership. If you know where I can order an OEM Toyota stereo on/off, volume button please let me know. I have a 2010 Matrix.

Just google the GM part number I've provided. You can find it from various sources like Amazon, eBay, oemparts wholesellers... They are out there. Unfortunately they recently became a discontinued part so dealers won't stock.
