I don't produce in Ableton, but the didactics you teach make me always learn a little and manage to apply it to my DAW, your content is incredible Brenden, thank you!
For some unknown reasons I didn't know about this YT channel of yours. I knew you as a great producer, this video is just giving a lots of credits to you. Also, as a Trance/Prog Trance producer, you tempted me now a lot into trying making a Prog House track as well, who knows it might be good enough for a mid-high level label.. Sharing knowledge and passion is one of the biggest and priceless satisfactions in life, kudos to you for being one of those people doing so.
Always looked forward to your posts in Toronto producer group back in the day on Facebook. Been watching your videos for a couple months now and I can literally confidently put whole tracks together keep them coming the videos are amazing!
Excellent video Brenden, sure I´ll be putting on practice all whole video :) If you could take in count for the next videos the style production of Ruben Karapetyan or Agustin Pietrocola would be nice, Thanks for sharing these videos
@@DowdenProductionAcademy if I become a patreon do your project files come with plug-in presets or are the all bounced to audio? I have all the plugins you use in your videos, thanks
@@MAXR_MTB I always (try) to do both! So it will be the plugin with the preset and then a duplicate underneath of the plugin layer will be the bounced out audio. This way if you have the plugin you can use it but if you don't you get the audio :)
G'day mate :)............ Fantastic tutorial. 🤘😎🤘 Q: When choosing a kick for a track do you find what key its in first or the wave shape and transient first then tune the kick?
I usually start writing with any kick, then once I find a key I want to write in I find a kick in that key. I usually will layer a kick or two up to get the sound that fits my track best :)
@@DowdenProductionAcademy interesting approach. I like it. Thanks for the reply. I'll look into your courses too.... Really enjoy your music style and watching your coaching tutorial/techniques. 👍
Hey i love the track overview section, it's really nice to hear each of the parts of the track, and what to focus on to make music in this style. I think you are the only one doing this quality content on youtube for this genre. You and Biskuwi made me evolve as a producer. Thanks a lot!

Great quality content!! Thank u Downden. Hey, if you can in any video bing a production style like Marcelo Vasami or Nicolas Rada, it would be very cool!! 😄
How is that a rip off?!?! He made the whole video which is several days of filming and editing and gave it away for free on RUclips. The least you could do is show some support if you're getting value from it. But instead your complaining in the comments section like a 🤡. Good luck making it in life with that attitude buddy, let alone the music industry!
These videos take days of work to plan, create, record, and edit. I actually pay an editor at this point to make my content better. It’s a cycle of reciprocity that I can invest more time and money into RUclips videos and project files for my Patrons so they have more content to learn with. The video is free content that you are welcome to enjoy and follow along with and recreate the project. For those who want to support or take a shortcut and the advantages of downloading the project can do that. :) Also when you sign up for my Patreon you get access to all the sample packs, project files, checklists, and more, that I’ve posted over the past 3 years. It’s not just the price for one single project file, but at the moment close to 35 project files and growing every month.
Amazing. You solved my problem for those damn lush pad sounds, I just couldn’t nail the sound I was after now i can. GMJ and Matter are a instant buy without listening producers for me. Top tier tutorial.
Who should I cover in my next How to Make Music Like videos? Comment below! 👇
Weird sounding Dude!
Or other similar Soundgarden artists
Fuenka/ Paul Thomas/Yeadon please
Ezequial Arias Plz
Kasper Koman

Glad to hear it! And yes it is! I'm definitely going to be using it
This is great Dowden 👏🏽👏🏽 thank you
Awesome track and breakdown thanks for sharing some amazing tips in there !
i have a question, do you prefer creating the atmos during the 8-16 bar loop proyect or do you find it easier to do that during the arrangement?
I usually start with 4 or 8 bar and then add in extras after, personally :)
Thanks for this Dowden!!
Love youuu mannnn
Amazing video loved every bit of it. Can you please share what you are using on your master?
Thanks! Usually I have a rack that has an EQ, Limiter, and SPAN and YouLean Loudness meter. :)

Hey Dowden thanks for all the tutorials. Would you say side chain compression has an advantage over volume suckers like kickstart or lfo tool?
Not at all! I think they are both great tools :)

instead of M/S EQ to avoid low frequency stereo image couldn't you just use a monomaker set at 200hz ? Or is there an advantage with M/S EQ?
M/S eq just gives you more flexibility but they are basically the same if just rolling off :)

is there a way to change the envelope on fl studio, like you did for the bassline? 9:03
You can use Automation if not - but I'm not sure exactly how to do it via FL Studio.
