    Those lubed ink black V2 sounded so good!
    The oil kings and milky yellow were a touch deeper lubed but not a great deal. Think the milky pro yellow are factory lubed which seems to be a decent job! Not a huge difference to their stock my ear
    Bubblegum my least favourite sound.
    Nice video, good luck growing 😊

      Thanks so much! That’s fair I like the blue bubblegum specifically for the smoothness but the ink black is also nice to listen to haha. I switch it around every week

    Moral of the story: everything sounds creamy and marbley in a fully foamed out zoom75.

    How does the bottom out of gateron smoothies feel?? All the information I could find is that the bottom out force is 50g... but that seems to be not official information. And I want to buy them but if they are something like 55g or 60g bottom out force then I would need to swap the springs because I'm looking for something light :(

    • @mikeytypes
      @mikeytypes  3 месяца назад +2

      The bottom out for the smoothies will be 50g definitely very smooth and light. I wish the smoothies were quieter though. If they were they’d be really amazing for me personally

    Great comparison of the creamy switches, please lower or turn off the ambient music during the typing portion of the video.

    You've picked all winners. Not an easy choice. I'd go for Gateron (Box) Ink v.2 and Oil Kings, in that order. The only ones I haven't tried are the Blue Bubblegums but I hope to have the opportunity soon.

    • @mikeytypes
      @mikeytypes  4 месяца назад +1

      Yeah the Ink is good but I haven’t tried the box stem ones, the ones I have doesn’t feel as smooth but the sound is good quiet and deep. I do have the North Poles coming and I do want to get more switches but definitely have gone over my budget for more keyboards. I do have a series I am doing now for the Wuque Studio MM switches. The Blue Bubblegum is just a good middle ground, but difficult to get I had to get mine from Germany and not really worth having to spend more for

    • @HunterZolomon
      @HunterZolomon 4 месяца назад

      @@mikeytypes Correct, the Inks really need lube. If you're going to do a North Pole review, you should compare them to the super smooth Aqua Kings since they are quite similar. Both are great.

    Can i use the Blue Bubblegum Linear Switch V2 on Wooting 60HE ?

    • @mikeytypes
      @mikeytypes  4 месяца назад +1

      No, you wouldn’t be able to. The Wooting requires Hall effect magnetic switches but the Blue Bubblegum is a Cherry MX switch

    Gateron Smoothies are the easy winner for me. Least amount of stem wobble, tightest housings, extremely smooth and they're quite cheap.

      The Gateron smoothies re definitely the smoothest of all of them, the only thing is they are so loud for me 😢 and I take my keyboard to work as well

      I have been stocking up on smoothies. They're great. They are a little loud, so I will second that sentiment, but they're still very good for what they are. The EF Curry switches are also a great switch and VERY quiet

    i am new to this custom keyboard "game". I really struggle with why so many people seem to be hung up on sound. So long as the sound isn't obnocutions high pitched or loud, who cares. How do they FEEL! Are they Linear, Tactile, Clicky?

    • @mikeytypes
      @mikeytypes  4 месяца назад +1

      That’s fair, this isn’t a hobby for everyone that’s for sure. It really comes down to personal preference of everything. A good example would be like with a car. Yes there is performance modifications you can make but there are some who like to do just appearance modification or sound. Some people like their car super loud while others like their car quiet. Some like to have the car lower and with a tight suspension while others want a soft and comfy suspension to daily drive. It really gets in to just a personal preference of what you like to enjoy. If sound or linear, clicks, tactile isn’t something you think is incredibly important my suggestion would be to go with a prebuilt keyboard like a Wooting. Good performance and decent with its feel and sound 😁

    • @johanb.7869
      @johanb.7869 4 месяца назад

      I'm the same. Lubed or not lubed there isn't much difference in sound. I didn't like the sound of the types he showed. I prefer clicky. MX blue for me. And I'm not going to waste my time by taking out all the switches and lube them.

    • @mikeytypes
      @mikeytypes  4 месяца назад +1

      @@johanb.7869 that’s fair, it’s all personal preference as long as you find what you enjoy and what works well for you. In the future I do plan to try out more switches so will do clacky ones as well as clicky.

    • @mikeytypes
      @mikeytypes  Месяц назад +1

      @@equiknox_ the keyboard I’m using in that video isn’t modded. It’s the Meletrix Zoom75 the only thing I did was hand lubed the switches, but the pro milky yellow is quite budget and stock is good too. Lately though you can find decently priced keyboards that come pre built that’s good too like the Epomaker x Feker or Monsgeek M1. The Meletrix comes as a kit you have to put together
