Does the rock wool do a good enough job as not to have a breach in the insulation system as a whole ? Meaning no humid air drawn in through the rock wool ? Especially when A/C causes a draw ?
    Thx !

In my house the hor air register on the wall leaks air around the register. Can I use spray foam to close the gaps to stop the air leak? Hot air vents probably don’t go up to 180F right?

Any thoughts on a horizontal wall thimble. I'd rather have a drafty air leek than a fire, ey' Putin?

What spray foam works around hot copper heating pipes to seal wall holes around the pipe??

If the copper pipes operate less than 180F temperature, then most spray foams would be acceptable
If the copper pipes operate more than 180F temperature, then you should look for a high temp can foam for sealing purposes

My landlord sprayed this great stuff fire block foam all around my steel chimney that he just replaced.. In contact with it, all around the double wall chimney and around the steel angled pipe.. I got concerned after seeing a piece of the hardened foam burn while I was burning my trash today.. Looks like I'm going to have to insist it gets removed and done right because this is absolutely not gonna work.. What's crazy is his job is heating and I figured he should know this!

Was replacing the chimney liner and he used it to seal around where the pipe goes through the wall and around the steel angle he welded where the 90degree bend is at.. The whole chimney is gonna need replaced and re-done cause there's no way he's getting it all outta there without destroying the chimney.. I can't believe this he shoulda known better

So of I placed a wood burning stove into a foam insulated barn it would only need to be 3 inches away from the wall? And a heat barrier? (like bricks?)

As long as it stays below 200 degrees. The heater will be emit much more than that.
