This guy is a terrific natural communicator and teacher. Clear, relaxed mastery of the subject area coupled with cogent explanations and a question-and-answer style that naturally draws the viewer in. Bravo.
I’m on a job and it looks just like this. It has two flues at the top. One of which looks like it’s not in use anymore and looks like it’s concreted in. Should I remove the excess flu sticking out if the top to keep water from filling that area up? Was this video and that model built made to show two different scenarios or is it supposed to have two openings in one?
I bought a 12x8x24 clay flue liner that I want to install for a pizza oven that I am building out of perlite/ Portland cement. The flue is heavy. I was thinking of putting the flue inside the hole I made and securing it with refractory mortar mix. Do you think that once it dries, it’ll hold? Any advice would help!
I have problem with my bottom chimney. Why this bottom chimney frozen on winter? Who should I contact to fix? My heating system is boiler... it is not fireplace...
I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking. But feel free to email me and I can try to get you to the write person. My email is john@boyleventuregroup.com
Hello, I have a chimney, I can see it sticking out of my roof, but I don’t have a fireplace in my house, but I have a thick wall, is there a fireplace behind it? My house was built in 1945
There’s a good chance it is. Double check if that’s where the chimney would be approximately. And it’s okay your home doesn’t have a fireplace because the chimney is usually there for the heating unit in the basement.
