Brings back memories of my Mamod steam engine I had lets say lots of years ago. Impressed with the build and operation of this engine. Love the individual personalisation you did with this one. Enjoyed watching Cheers
Thanks. I have some Mamod steam engines to restore. Planning to get a video series of that up by the end of the year. I too remember playing with them for hours as a child, many great memories with family.
@@oldmanfrancis8528 no the boiler was fairly easy to make. Used oxyacetylene so was easy enough to get the metal hot enough for the silver solder to melt. Although I got it a bit too hot in a few areas which was a case of waiting for the area to cool for about 10 seconds and then reapply the silver solder.
@@oldmanfrancis8528 I do not have any video as I used the equipment at a local college. I don't have a powerful torch in my home workshop for silver soldering. I will film the process when I make the boiler for my 1" minnie.
I love this little engine !

Very Impressive!! I love the whistle modification. Also, I bet your wife will be happy that you’ve cleaned up the mess. 😂
Cleanest running engine ever. 😀
Ideal beginners engine, very easy to build .
Agreed. Especially as there are no castings it is easy enough to make parts again if they don't turn out right.
Ahhhhh amazing!! quality work. I hope i can get out and finish mine soon
Thanks. I am excited to see your progress. Have you managed to get back to the workshop yet? Hope to catch up soon on the discord.
Very cool indeed
Thankyou. I had a lot of fun learning how to silver solder boilers. I am happy that it runs well.
Good work, did you have difficulty with the boiler??

That’s interesting, what sort of oxy acetylene kit did you use, did you video its construction?
