I use an old crappy Win7 32bit Acer laptop JUST for my VCX Nano (wireless disabled, never on-line), I've had as many weird problems as you. The software is hacked for sure, BUT it does work! Watch out for that crap micro-USB connection, I kinda damaged mine one day by accident (fixed with lots of tape)

Windows acts like everything is a Trojan or virus that isn't Microsoft made. I wouldn't worry too much about the warning but ya if you don't shut down Windows defender its going to block some of the install and quarantine parts which will have you going crazy trying to figure out why you can't keep up with the directions for install.... so everyone who has all these issues... SHUT OFF YOUR ANTI VIRUS BEFORE BEGINNING THIS PROCESS and then you'll be fine. Idk if someone already said this but.. yea thats my two cents. Thanks for the video. Half way through trying on my own I somehow accidentally deleted the gds2 and so i had to delete everything start over with your video and success. Thanks much

Can you use this device to learn newly installed parts? Also, can you use this device to do a fuel injection diagnostic by firing individual fuel injectors? Can you communicate with different things in the vehicle?

Hey brother sorry to bother you man but I downloaded tech2 update from GM without realizing it how do I get rid of those drivers I deleted the software and download it again from the CD but still not working properly
Make sure you have uninstalled all of the related software, it's more than just one program that needs to be deleted. I use a program like Revo Uninstaller but if your on Windows 10 you should be able to go into Settings>Apps>Apps&Features and scroll down through the list of apps installed on your computer. Click on each of the following programs and uninstall it: GDS 2 Java, GM MDI Software, J2534 Wrapper, Java 8 Update xxx, Tech2Win, TIS2WEB IVCS5B Com Proxy, TIS2WEB Proxy and VX Manager Version xxx. Once you have all of those uninstalled start from scratch and install the software from the CD, hopefully that works.

Yes it does have bidirectional control, you can test injectors, ignition coils, solenoids etc using the VCX. I think it supports Opel as it has various options for international models.

@@nirbhaokhalsa4636 I am using Windows 10 Home 64 bit, I can use Tech2Win with no issues, I can open GDS2 and see that it has a valid lease but I don’t have a GDS2 compatible vehicle to connect it to so I can’t completely verify operation of the GDS2 application

That I'm not sure about and unfortunately I don't have a truck like that to try it on... if your want to change your transmission tuning I'm guessing that it probably won't be able to do that... if your just wanting to replace the tcm and reflash the stock tune it might work but haven't tried it myself
Can the VCX Nano be used to get rid of the flashing SECURITY light on 99 Silverado? I have already disabled VATS and related DTCs using HP Tuners. Truck starts and runs fine, except the annoying SECURITY light flashing. Thank you. Charlie.

I have no experience with the Ford/Mazda version of the VCX Nano. I have had the GM version for about a year and it hasn’t locked, there was one firmware update from VCX Nano. Not sure what you mean about installing it on the same laptop, I installed it on my laptop without any problems other than the virus/malware issue I mention in the video
@@LowbuckLS in some diagnostic devices they say we must turn off the wifi every time we use it ,,,in order not to connect on the internet ...my diagnostic devices doesn't have that problem with that ...i dont know about the vx diag
Hey, I just got this. I got a question. I ordered the Nano and waiting for it to arrive but I downloaded the software off the website to check it out and I got a Lease not valid error that I can't seem to fix. Does your GDS2 do this when the Nano isn't plugged in?
I’m pretty sure you need to have the Nano plugged in to your laptop, I’ll test it out when I get home without the Nano plugged in and see if I have the same issue.
Does Windows 10 work better than windows 7 6 bit for SPS programming. Im getting an error when selecting the vehicle Error E4403. Tech2win works perfectly.
What do you do if you upgrade firmware. This video got me so much closer but i messed up and upgraded and now it doesnt work. upgraded to 1.8 and then figured out how to downgrade to 1.6 but i cant find a way to downgrade to version 1.5.

@rayjay896 No borrowed a buddy of mines and re-programming didn't work. My car actually had a bad battery pack. Gotta swap to another pack and change the battery electronics to avoid programming.

Best way to do it. Its common for all cracked software the cracked file is recognized as birus or malware etc vxbox is easy to use just download win7 or win 8 run on vxbox especially for gds2
@@LowbuckLS Long time no talk! Hey I have this VCX Nano with the Tech 2 Win software they told me. I can hook it up to my Chev Impala and it works for a while. As soon as you start doing anything requiring much data transfer or live data, Tech 2 Win just crashes and closes the application. Why does it happen and how do you fix it? You can reopen it and start over then again in the middle of anything like live data it crashes and closes itself.
I don't think its a virus per say its more than likely a false positive script that windows doesn't recognize and thinks its a Trojan or virus which triggers that prompt, and by the way windows defender is trash so wouldn't really trust that either lol, Just my 2c

it does not come with a CD. At least not anymore. It is virtually impossible to download and install the software from the cloud link they provide

Do this works with 1995 OBD 1.5 GM cars like the Pontiac Sunfire?

I can’t say for sure about Windows 8.1 but I am using it on Windows 10 without compatibility mode or a virtual machine

You can reopen it and start over then again in the middle of anything like live data it crashes and closes itself.
I always use old windows 7 laptop with none of my details on it for all this chinese cracked software
I don't think its a virus per say its more than likely a false positive script that windows doesn't recognize and thinks its a Trojan or virus which triggers that prompt, and by the way windows defender is trash so wouldn't really trust that either lol, Just my 2c
