Let's scare ourselves witless in some 7 Days to Die! Now that Version 1 Experimental has released, it's time for us to gear up and take on the zombie apocalypse in a brand new Let's Play series on INSANE difficulty!
In this episode, we begin preparing the base for the Day 14 Horde - fortifications and escape routes are top of the agenda! Will the buildings we've chosen be enough to stave off the impending swarm? Can Paul get back into the "swing" of things after a few days away from the computer? And why do dogs now always seem to come in twos? Find out next...

You have 2 modifier slots on tier 3 armor, you can put the pocket mod on without removing the other one
Clay is everywhere in the temperate biome, just dig up dirt. Dirt = clay
You have the bacon and egg recipe now, don't eat the eggs when you find them, save them for the better food. Well worth the inventory slot.
Don't run with a broken leg, even if it has a cast. The timer stops ticking down or can even go back up when you run.
Not an expert on horde bases but for a converted PoI you could do worse. I miss the simple brick houses from the early alphas.

Acid is needed to make the Chemistry workbench, you can also use it to make batteries and tires, however I always find enough of those by looting/salvaging.
I'll hold onto that for the chemistry station then, when we finally get round to building it! 😅
when you have a cast on a broken leg, it will stop healing if you run, extending the time.

If you fight them from the hole in the roof. I would use the shapes and find the 'scaffolding ladder', advance the rotation until it's in a horizontal position and cover the hole. Apart from stopping you falling down you can shoot and throw bombs through it and it also stops cop spit.

When I load the game tonight, I'm going into my first Day 7 night! I went into day 7 totally unprepared and slapped together something janky but night not survive!

Happy to report I survived the night!!! Thankfully my little hut held out, though I did have 1 beach. Was able to strategically rebuild it quickly!

to access the block shape menu hold down your reload button (Mine is set to the middle mouse button for easy access) Left mouse button rotates the shape.

This whole episode felt like spring cleaning in a good way. Very chill episode. Well, mostly chill. Officer Edward was a bit mean and, well... Poor leg... By the way, I'm not sure about this version, but in the past it was always better to upgrade blocks instead of crafting the upgraded versions,since it gave you a lot more XP.
Also, looking forward to seeing more Tomato Paul (Paulmato?) in the future.
You named one zombler Xena the Warrior Princess, but didn't do her war cry. Unforgivable.

The stun symbol should be from a recent concussion, it will reappear occasionally until you take a white pain pill.
Noticed someone else's comment, saying it's from the pummel pete perk, I've never gone with clubs but that makes sense.

Ah yes, thankyou! Managed to make use of it on Day 14 and will be holding onto the acid until the chem station is within our grasp! 💪
animal fat is needed for a lot of the better food recipes, you should save all you find.
I had a feeling it would be useful for something. Time to start saving any i find then! 😀
