A reminder to every mother - NOTHING is worth the risk of an unattended child...NOTHING. and yes that sort of thing happens where you live. How sad that this is a reality for many...I heart goes out to these mothers...
It happens but not nearly as often as people think and raising a child who views the world as a very scary place is a form of abuse IMO. I have a special needs child. When he was about 10 he was at the city park in our small town being supervised by his usual sitters nerdy looking boyfriend. My son, Alex, was very aware that he’s no supposed to video anyone without permission (although by law if you are in a public space you do not have an expectation of privacy ) . When the playground had cleared out he asked his sitter to video him going down the slides. About 10 minutes later, two police cars showed up because a little girl (about 7) had gone running to tell her parents she was being videotaped. Without bothering to investigate at all, they called the police. The cops left after they were shown there were no videos of anyone other than my son (again, by law there should not have been a problem even if there were). The psychological damage that is caused by such paranoid parents instilling that level of fear in such a young child makes me cringe. I am extremely grateful that my parents had the courage to raise us in downtown Chicago in the 60’s and 70’s without making us fear a bogeyman around every corner.
@@adrianashilling2573 Oh my God thank you so much for saying this! I wasn't allowed to play with other children so nothing teeerrible happens to me - had to watch them from my window. I just loved his show Spenser for Hire, which also featured Avery Brooks, Barbara Stock, and Richard Jaekel as Hawk, Susan and Quirk. It was shot on location in Boston. It was quite a bit different than Robert Parker's most excellent stories- like an alternate Spenser universe, but still really good.
That's wild. It seems fake to me. Who would leave their kid alone at that age so far away? Initially, I thought it was her house - bad enough to go upstairs and strange enough to leave the kid in the front doorway with the door open - but, an apartment building entryway? Especially in what looks like somewhat of a city? It's hard to believe someone would really do that.
To think I've been watching STUPID movies which I couldn't finish and These movies were here?!!! I loved this. Thank you for the download! Going to watch another Robert Urich NOW! Love him, too.
While parents have a duty to keep their children safe, and there certainly are neglectful parents, be careful in harsh judgements. Parents are human and are not thinking " safety," every minute. They make innocent mistakes that they can pay for for the rest of their lives.
Sometimes a small child can get lost by falling asleep beneath a pillow or behind/underneath a curtain or furniture; leaving their mother panic-stricken and frantically searching the neighbourhood's streets; until found...
I disagree. I think "safety" every minute was exactly what was on my mind in situations like this one. But, also, she left a very little girl all alone in the open doorway of an apartment building and went all the way back upstairs!! Weird!
When it comes to children's safety I always judge harshly. My mom was criminally negligent. Because of that I was not. Keep your fluffy, foofy bvull$hit to yourself. It has zero value to keeping kids safe

I'm a mental health nurse and foster carer, so you can imagine, what is going through my mind. If this was my child or my foster child, I would absolutely do, think and act the same way., These films highlight the possibility of harm to a child and those who fight day in and day out to save them. We need to remember, the clock is ticking. ⏳️ Great acting by all. XXX

Yes he was a great and convincing actor and so good to look at. This was an exciting movie and a great story. So sad he had to die so young. May he rest in peace.
when a mother loses a child, it has to be extremely painful. But I dont like how she treats Jack. He is trying to help her and live his life but yet she has her boot on his back.
She’s a btch She couldn’t even sympathize with the other woman who lost her kid and thinks she’s entitled to his help Am happy he didn’t end up with her
When your child is missing you do all kinds of things but that does not give you any reason to act the way she acted. She expected him to leave his meeting to bust down someone’s door. To be honest he did more than he had to do. Yes it’s really said when a child is missing but no one should be held hostage and made to feel guilty if they cannot stop their life because you left your child at a door down stairs because it was an inconvenience for you to walk her back upstairs with you.
@@Duminique1 exactly ❤️😊I was thinking the same way. I feel for the mom, but no reason to be a b!tch. He went above and beyond. All while she's treating people like sh!t.
True ! Especially in the U.S. !! The crime rates & the numbers of the missing persons are crazy here !! I am Japanese who's been living in the States for over 33 years ! That's why it's important to never leave your kids by themselves. That little girl was way more important than getting to work on time. She was already late and called to tell them she was running late so what was the point of even abandoning the little girl downstairs? This is a movie with a Happy Ending but hundreds of thousands are never found alive or found at all each year.

Yes, that beginning was absurd - mother warning her daughter all time while on the move to be super careful, then without any reason whatsoever she's leaving her wtf, just putting off
Very interesting I used to watch this gent in every act he played; Robert Urich, a childhood hero. He also played in a movie, for TV where a young girl was molested by her father, dad, she was a pianist moving towards a concerto.
A kid goes missing, gone for several weeks, and people are acting like it's a common occurrence, which it seems to be. This is a very 😱 😫 world. Everyone's disposable, even the children. Sick, sick, 🌎 !
Great watch. Good interesting subject. A good suspense, I just couldn't stop watching till the end. Besides there's a good serious lesson for us. You can understand the society better. God bless and have mercy on our kids.
Intense movie about child abduction. There were some moments of levity which eased the tension. My only negative thing to comment on was when he called the taxi to stop ... NOOO, don't go there!! THANKS for airing this movie :)
@@cindyhimes I think they wanted to just portray him as a real nice decent guy who was willing to help someone. It would have put a different spin on the whole thing if they had made it where he had designs on the mother.
Robert Urich was such a good actor. He was starring in The Lazarus Man when he got sick and instead of going for a second season, Castle Rock cancelled the show. I watched that show and it was really good.
Yeah I was like.... what are you doing????? Though it's not her fault someone decided to be evil, I would've just picked the child up and went upstairs.
@@SenoritaKaosiklisto It is her fault what are you talking about! It's her fault that the child was abducted. Someone didn't decide to be evil. Grow up!
Excellent movie, great actors. If this is based on a true movie shame on these people who took children away from their families to give to other families.
A big thank you for the super quality of a dated movie. I usually give these aged movies a miss even tho they are mostly wonderful movies from this time period, but usually unwatchable on YT because lack of quality but this one is great! It helps that it has the fantastic Mr. Ulrich as the main guy. Thanks again, *Thrillgore* will def be checking out more from your channel.
God-forbid any of us here loses one’s child. I’m a parent and I know I wouldn’t be able to stay stable. My imaginations, negative thoughts would strip me every bit of sanity I got in my head. A mother … is greatly connected with her children. They go missing.. she goes missing too. God please save and care for every child in this planet and every child yet to come, you are most merciful. 🌸🍃
I loved the clever little daughter, who instinctively trusted Jack to be different from the people holding her. Smart as her mother. Fascinating story, probably going on somewhere in the world every day. Despicable business.
I tell you how great this movie was: I was glued to the screen from start to finish! Amazing story, amazing cast. 5 star entertainment. Thank you ThrillGore.
Being a parent it's ur responsibility to assure ur child's safety, regardless of what u needed to do ,besides forgetful of what is necessary to do for the day considering routinary activities is a pathetic excuse!! Be a responsible parent to ur children that's it!!
I grew up in Asia watching the TV series Vegas. Still remember that convertible that he drove in that series. He resembled a very young brendan fraser. Love Urich's acting here.
I first saw this movie on Lifetime in 1992 with a whole lot of Suspense. Plus this is one of my favorite movies with Brett Cullen who plays Peter Harmon. Meanwhile I am so glad I got this on DVD four Christmases ago
I don’t understand why people talk so good about this ridiculous movie, how can a strange lady manages to make a man do whatever she wants? He is not her husband, or friend, and she is so calm down, is her own daughter and not only one tear for her own little child, poor man gets beat so many times for being at the wrong place with a woman who forces him do things for her
I really liked the movie thanks for sharing. Most of all I loved how you didn't chop it up with 30 second rewind and unscheduled ads . You should be proud of the work you did here. 👏 I know that I am. Again thanks for this . ❤
Great acting as well as the whole movie. The main actor is indecisive between his wife ( full of hope) who hurt him " I will call you tomorrow" and the young mother. Their eyes are talking more than words.
The male main character, Robert Urich, had a girlfriend not a wife. He had NO romantic interest in the young mother. Good to know you were paying attention.
This movie really surprised me. I've been watching a lot of made for tv movies over the last few days and this is easily the best acted. It had a few issues with the cheesy action soundtrack and a lack of screen time for side characters but that was about it.
The 2 moms are presumptuous about Jack helping them. They don't give a damn in Jack's work, schedule. They practically dragged Jack on the street looking for their daughters.
Pretty good movie. Sidenote: If a man watches me struggle through the airport with heavy bags sweating and out of breath- no offer to help, while he casually strolls away...im probably done with him.
Oh so great and excellent movie, thanks God the baby got retrieved and save, while watching It was exhilarating on the part that his eyeglass falls down and the little girl was right there not making noise, thanks for the great movie, more power!
Urich as 'Jack Bauer', and Meghan Gallagher as the mother who almost lost her child to kidnappers, 'Laura McKillin', quite capably carry the very entertaining movie. Sure the movie is from the '90s, a time when life was slightly simpler, and the movie shows this. Here's this busy successful businessman who takes the time to help this waitress mother find her kidnapped child. Nice message. How many of us would take time from our busy lives to help a complete stranger? The movie ends very unlike a Hollywood movie. Urich does not end up in bed amorously loving the mother he helped, becoming the little saved girl's surrogate father, nor does he exactly hook up with his old girl friend, 'Kate' (Isabella Hofmann). The story is left comfortably "in the air" for the observer to figure it out (without giving too much away). Pretty good "feel good" movie.
Robert Urich was the nicest actor I ever met on a set. I was so sorry when he died.
I'm crushed, Loved Robert Urich. Unfortunately I'm not into Hollywood news, so I had no idea he had passed away. No I don't live under a rock. LOL

@@paulamiles9559 Hi, also a Fan of the Spenser series. Wonderful characters, all perfectly played!
We see this kind of carelessness with children all the time. In malls, subways, etc. It's a shame for parents or guardians to be so negligent. 😢
What a touching movie; What noone else could do a wonderful stranger did!
Weird!
@@fionagallagher9974and had the time to make a phone call...
The parent was careless in this situation
When it comes to children's safety I always judge harshly. My mom was criminally negligent. Because of that I was not. Keep your fluffy, foofy bvull$hit to yourself. It has zero value to keeping kids safe
Never leave a child alone no matter what
Not for one second!
Never ever ever.
Shame the mccans ignored this 😡
Excellent movie with top-notch acting headed by Robert Urich. Rest in heavenly peace.

XXX
Very well said..Bless you 🕊️💕🙏
Never, ever leave your child alone anytime, anywhere. Learn the lessons 😢😢😭
I remember seeing Robert Urich, for the very first time, in the second movie part of Dirty Harry, with Clint Eastwood and Tim Matheson, back in 1973. He was handsome and had a lot of class. Thank you for this magnificent presentation. Rest In Peace, Robert Urich. Johnny, Montréal, Canada 🇨🇦
His wife, now late, was Louisa in The Sound of Music
Such men are a rare breed in this time and age!
Yes he was a great and convincing actor and so good to look at. This was an exciting movie and a great story. So sad he had to die so young. May he rest in peace.
Handsome Slavic man he was.
@@mymindseyesees2002 Yes, of Czech descent. RIP, 🙏.
My favorite movie with him is Lonesome Dove. Awesome book/series
.
He had a good life. His wife Heather Menzies, and their kids, were everything to him. Heather supported him lovingly throughout his illness.
when a mother loses a child, it has to be extremely painful. But I dont like how she treats Jack. He is trying to help her and live his life but yet she has her boot on his back.
Yes, she is quite disrespectful & very demanding when Jack doesn't even have to help her..
She’s a btch
She couldn’t even sympathize with the other woman who lost her kid and thinks she’s entitled to his help
Am happy he didn’t end up with her
Q L, how desperate would you be if your child was missing?
This is hardly a situation where a mother would behave at her best.
Sad thing is this is not just a movie, this happens every day all around the World and most times they are not recovered.
True ! Especially in the U.S. !! The crime rates & the numbers of the missing persons are crazy here !! I am Japanese who's been living in the States for over 33 years ! I believe that Americans have so little patience. Compared to Asians & Europeans& British ! And the easy accessibility to guns ,drugs ,bombs ,all kinds of stuffs make it worse !! We hardly see those in other developed countries, but here in U.S. !! 💜🥁🐉🎤💞
True😔
Yes and they are raped and murdered.
@@naturalkinkycurlymarie7496 I agree ! But, it was the 1st time for her ! As she was under the pressure of getting fired & losing a job meant no food on their table !! She left her there inside of their bed & taking her girl upstairs would had slowed her down .I don't agree with her decision ! But,just telling you why ! This is totally safe to do in my country Japan & European countries. But ,not here in the U.S. !! 💜🥁🐉🎤💞
I miss Robert Urich he was a good actor and seemed like a fine gentleman ..Great movie

I saw this movie when I was 10 during its original airing. I'm glad I was able to find this movie all these years later. Thanks for uploading a clean copy. The quality is good and I enjoyed the re-watch.
Rest easy Eric. You will not be forgotten. Your talents and your smile.

Thanks so much for posting this very well done movie. -- not perfect, but much better than what is available in the mainstream cinema these days.
at the beginning I thought it would be a boring tv drama but it revealed to be suspenseful and captivating.
This was better than I thought. Kept me on the edge of my seat - - thanks for the upload :)
Thanks to this businessman saves the little girl from what would be a homicide.
Yes it g9t better and better as time went along
i persevered from start to end, i found it predictable, boring and certainly not nail biting.
@@derrickyee1143 It wouldn't have been a homicide. They were taking her to England to give her to a family that paid for her 'adoption'. I'm sure those guys were posing as workers for an adoption agency and charging the potential parents for it. I'm not in any way defending them or condoning their actions, but they *weren't* going to kill her!
every movie Robert Ulrich worked , comment section is full of praises. do not know whether people adored him this much when he was alive. going to watch this movie and enjoy it the way i always enjoy his movies
I forgot how much I respected and loved Robert Urich who always played wholesome, likeable characters. Not an ounce of sleaze! We need to see more women and men in movies relate like this without sex.
He also played a man who murdered his wife. (Blind Faith) Based on a true story.

You must never leave a child all alone! How difficult is that to understand?
Never seen anyone act as badly as the child's mother.
U are so right
Yes, that beginning was absurd - mother warning her daughter all time while on the move to be super careful, then without any reason whatsoever she's leaving her wtf, just putting off
Judging by the amount of people who still do it and at their child's expense very difficult.

LEAVING A YOUNG CHILD ALONE 😔 IS NOT VV BRIGHT BUT ✨️ MY HEART 💓 GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS
What was the point of leaving a child that small alone at the front door? 🤦🏽♀
Especially the door was unlocked
Robert Urich was so handsome. ❤️
Very gorgeous man
Very ❤❤😍
WOW, a change you will never believe the ending was different a movie well worth the watch
Remember Urich from Spenser For Hire all those years ago, wonderful actor whom I 🙈 secretly had a crush on hehe. RIP thanks for the memories, hun 😘😋
Great watch. Good interesting subject. A good suspense, I just couldn't stop watching till the end. Besides there's a good serious lesson for us. You can understand the society better. God bless and have mercy on our kids.
“You got hit again?” That made me laugh, bless him
This movie got a bad review but I thought it was really good. Never a dull moment and I really liked it.
Intense movie about child abduction. There were some moments of levity which eased the tension. My only negative thing to comment on was when he called the taxi to stop ... NOOO, don't go there!!
THANKS for airing this movie :)
My thought too. I called him a dumb a** out loud. lol.
Lol yes same here 😊
I thought the same thing! No let her go! There was more of a connection with the mother.
@@cindyhimes I think they wanted to just portray him as a real nice decent guy who was willing to help someone. It would have put a different spin on the whole thing if they had made it where he had designs on the mother.
Same...thought he should just let her go and move on!!😀
Robert Urich was such a good actor. He was starring in The Lazarus Man when he got sick and instead of going for a second season, Castle Rock cancelled the show. I watched that show and it was really good.
No parent left an unattended young child alone, even in our own apartment building.
Yeah I was like.... what are you doing????? Though it's not her fault someone decided to be evil, I would've just picked the child up and went upstairs.
Scared of how she's calm while her daughter been missing for 2 weeks
@@SenoritaKaosiklisto It is her fault what are you talking about! It's her fault that the child was abducted. Someone didn't decide to be evil. Grow up!
very foolish move. Kids were being snatched even dating back to the 80s. So, these parents know.
Thanks for uploading this movie! Enjoyed watching it
Robert Urich has always been a hot number, such a lost,i really miss seeing him in current movies 😢
Excellent movie, great actors. If this is based on a true movie shame on these people who took children away from their families to give to other families.
It's all about money, like akways
A big thank you for the super quality of a dated movie. I usually give these aged movies a miss even tho they are mostly wonderful movies from this time period, but usually unwatchable on YT because lack of quality but this one is great!
It helps that it has the fantastic Mr. Ulrich as the main guy.
Thanks again, *Thrillgore* will def be checking out more from your channel.
What's a dated movie? Aren't all films dated? Is last year film dated too, only we don't notice it?.🤗
God-forbid any of us here loses one’s child.
They could have had the woman playing the mother wasn't very convincing didn't seem worried at all
Boring movie
I tell you how great this movie was: I was glued to the screen from start to finish! Amazing story, amazing cast. 5 star entertainment. Thank you ThrillGore.

Be a responsible parent to ur children that's it!!
I grew up in Asia watching the TV series Vegas. Still remember that convertible that he drove in that series. He resembled a very young brendan fraser. Love Urich's acting here.

Robert Urich always excellent ! Intriguing plot and good cast. You will enjoy it.
I don’t understand why people talk so good about this ridiculous movie, how can a strange lady manages to make a man do whatever she wants? He is not her husband, or friend, and she is so calm down, is her own daughter and not only one tear for her own little child, poor man gets beat so many times for being at the wrong place with a woman who forces him do things for her
True I don't know my self
I really liked the movie thanks for sharing. Most of all I loved how you didn't chop it up with 30 second rewind and unscheduled ads . You should be proud of the work you did here. 👏 I know that I am. Again thanks for this . ❤
Thank you for the support 😊
Great acting as well as the whole movie. The main actor is indecisive between his wife ( full of hope) who hurt him " I will call you tomorrow" and the young mother. Their eyes are talking more than words.
I thought that was a girlfriend. I thought she mentioned something about the 4 years theyed been together
The male main character, Robert Urich, had a girlfriend not a wife. He had NO romantic interest in the young mother. Good to know you were paying attention.
Thanks so much for correcting me.
To err is human💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I would not agree that between the main actor and the young Mum wasn't prevailed something stronger than friendship.
@@draginjaklisuric7658 there should have been a relationship between the main actor & young mom. The girlfriend cheated.....dump her.
After having come out after a good movie quite saddened to hear that this good actor had died 20 years ago , a sad end after a good end.
Ikr 😂that part of the movie was a bit much.
They're entitled I must say

Oh so great and excellent movie, thanks God the baby got retrieved and save, while watching It was exhilarating on the part that his eyeglass falls down and the little girl was right there not making noise, thanks for the great movie, more power!
What a nightmare to live through all that horror. Ulrich had great range as an actor. RIP.
Pretty good "feel good" movie.
great sense of observation !
Great movie. Captivating all the way through.
