TIP: Add another shadowstrike at the end of this macro. You will have the extra energy for it and is useful if you need just a bit more damage. There is no other ability that would be more useful here.
Great video! I recently started using a cast sequence macro for my opener in raids and for me it really is a game changer. I have mentioned this to fellow rogues that I have known or in my guild and they are 100% against using a sequence macro. For me anytime you want to stop the sequence you can so in essence a sequence macro only can make sure the opener you use is correct. @@throwoffyourchains124 the one shotty meta is actually really fun rn. Its super boring when no one can kill anyone else and any fight takes like 20 minutes to end when someone runs out of mana. Plus pvp is really booming this expansion so it seems alot of people are finding it fun.
@@aarni-2660 agreed, also many classes can counter 1 shot from a rogue. Also it isn't a 1 shot it's just bursting in stun lock. It's funny when people complain about rogues stunlocking yet 40k hp druids can tank a full burst while perma healing in stuns, and kill you on top of it, that's fine ig. Once rogue blows the load it's over unless the other guy has no defensive CDs.

To all people struggling to make this macro works : go to macro textedit, open your spellbook : shift click on spells to add them with the specific macro name respecting the order of your rotation. But shift+click will work.

Hey Palumor, I wanted to correct something right quick. It's nothing major it's just a description error about the reset=10. reset=10 tells the macro that when it's dormant for 10 seconds without spamming it, like if you are running or you are stunned or feared or controlled or you can't use the next ability in the sequence for the next 10 seconds, it resets to the beginning of the macro. So if you hit the castsequence macro and you only get off 3 of the abilities in sequence, if you DO NOT get the 4th ability off for whatever reason, it resets after 10 seconds of dormancy. It doesn't stop after 10 seconds of pushing the macro though... it will continue for 30 seconds if that's how long it takes to go through all of the abilities in the castsequence. It's about dormancy, how long you take in between each ability in the sequence.

Ok, so macro from video description doesn't work but i figured out the way to write it so here it is! /castsequence Cold Blood(PvP Talent),Shadow Blades,Cheap Shot,Shadow Dance,Symbols of Death,Echoing Reprimand(Kyrian),Eviscerate,Marked for Death,Eviscerate,Cheap Shot,Shadowstrike,Eviscerate EDIT: reset=10 actually make macro doesn't work so delete it and should be fine. If using different covenant just delete Echoing Reprimand(Kyrian) and put there your covenant ability. To make sure you didn't miss spelled anything just shift-click your ability into macro. Also if macro worked once and then stoped you have to delete reset=10 from it and it should work again. You can remove Shadow Blades from macro if you want to spam it since putting Shadow Blades in makes macro usable only once in 3 minutes. Basically you can't use it with your Shadow Blades on cd. Enjoy while you still can cuz it's for sure going to be nerfed
You can do it with all classes and spec just type like this " /castsequence Name of the spell. you can Hold shift then left click so you dont need to type in the name . /castsequence Cold Blood(PvP Talent),other spell, you always give good explanations :)
Cast sequences are juicy for typical PvE openers (before boss mechanics actually kick in) Glad you're highlighting it here even though it's for pvp purposes
nah man you just have to learn to counterplay 1 shot. This fast meta is great, nevermind the healers that cant even heal a person before they are dead.

This may have been covered in the 1.2k comments but reset=10 is not 10 sec after u press the button its 10 seconds after NOT pressing the button (if u tap it nonstop even if nothing happens it will never reset)
tried it - works pretty good. liking the videos..except when basing on the legendary choices some of us made..I play only 1 crazy one shot dance with 100% crit and it works great.. anyway - as a suggestion for the hearthstone > I set up mine in the covenant and use the dalaran one to go to > org > orobos ..takes 2 portals but I have access to the city and the covenant in 20 mins.
At renown 11 we'll get covenant specific hearths! Thanks for the support, and I never said anything really bad about MA! I think it's really cool, just definitely not a realistic high end arena Legendary. It owns in open world/dungeons/BGs/Torghast etc!

Sorry man I honestly don’t know enough about cast seq macros to help make new ones like that! You could try taking out marked for death and seeing how it interracts with that moved!
I like to divide it, so ill make two different macros like this: Makco 1: /castsequence reset=10 Cold Blood(PvP Talent),Shadow Blades Macro 2: /castsequence reset=10 Cheap Shot,Shadow Dance,Symbols of Death,Echoing Reprimand,Eviscerate,Marked for Death,Eviscerate,Cheap Shot,Shadowstrike,Eviscerate Then ill pop the first macro giving me cold blood and shadow blades, then ill do the second one. It should solve a lot of problems caused by cold blood and shadow blades.
One quick note, resert=t10 means that you have 10 seconds to press the button for each ability before it will reset. As in you can press the button once, wait 8 seconds and continue the sequence, but if you wait 11 seconds, then it will reset to teh first ability.
@@Palumor Great video btw! It was not to nit pick your video, just that I use multiple cast sequence macros, and it's nice to know for other classes that can't cc lock and you get kited. You want to have a longer reset=t30 for example so you can run them down to complete combos, IE: feral/rogue combo finishers and ret Verdicts. Wouldn't want the macro to reset a sequence that adds more combos and burns them. Lastly, you can add /cast "cds" or /use 'potionts' after the sequence for any cds/trinkets eetc that you want to add for the burst that are off the global CD. Add a bit more damage.
@Jiminy Christmas There is no way MM is just as bad., not even close. We don't have any obviously broken legendaries. If you pay attention, you see us coming. It is not possible to do 40k with 2 shots. Can you get shredded by an MM, yes. Can we stun-lock you to death, no. Can you fight back, yes. MM has always been an apex predator in bgs and epic bgs... but we lack a lot of defensive maneuvers that cannot be countered instantly and easily. Everyone has a slow, or a gap closer, or multiple stuns. MMs are glass cannons, but right now, rogues have near impunity to surprise you, incapacitate you, and as shown here, kill you within literally 2 seconds and disappear/evade/smoke/etc.

I adapted a pretty good opener for PvE WITH LEGENDARY. I am hitting 7.5k dps for 100k damage at 184 ilvl with this... general idea is to maximize damage on the opener with legendary, then put up SnD + rupture + sepsis, then activate shadowblades and utilize vanish to have shadow blades active for DoTs and your crits off vanish. /castsequence reset=30 Symbols of Death,Shadowstrike, Darkmoon Deck: Voracity,Eviscerate,Shadow Dance,Potion of Phantom Fire,Shadowstrike,Eviscerate,Shadowstrike,Shadowstrike,Slice and Dice,Shadowstrike,Shadowstrike,Rupture, Sepsis,Vanish,Shadow Blades
it worked at first for me and now it wont do anything after the first click which just applies cold blood to me idk why its not working all of a sudden
this actually made it do the rotation for me but it seems the reset 10 isnt workin cause i literally have to wait for all the abilitys to cool down before i can use the macro again.

To add in an on use trinket there would you just say "use 13" in the place in the order you want it? I have the inscrutable quantum device that does about 10k damage when used under 20% health and would love to add it into the rotation at the second cheap shot
Hey mate, would love to see a video on how you manage your damage when you abilities are on CD. How you can consistently do damage and with prioritising abilities. Sometimes it can feel like you have no impact when in a bg or arena
I definitely just play around burst windows and recognize my downtime is crappy dmg, in terms of 3v3 that is. That feeling is pretty normal as a sub rogue, I'd say anytime you have Sdance off CD you can do some heavy damage though!
I have the macro copy pasted, and it gets hung up after MFD. It just sits there with 5 combo points and does not continue, also I tried to add in the use of a trinket (for more burst) and that hung it up as well. Any ideas as to why it would not be working lol?

macro wont work i copied it from the description but i cant figure out why it wont work all my cooldowns are off of cooldown and i didnt pre activate cold blood either my warmode is also turned on in the video it shows 194 characters are used in the macro but when i copy it from the description it only says 192 characters so im not sure what the 2 characters im missing could be when i use the macro it activates cold blood but does nothing else even when i spam it can someone help
@@Palumor yah thats honestly my most used finisher for pvp. But useless in keys and such. Need something as powerful without the kyrian. Also with the kyrian nerf and sub nerf that just happened today i wonder how many will dip on kyrian althogether.
I use gnome sequencer for cast sequence on my ret pally mixed with razer software it works a treat...if you are using a razer or any "gamer" mouse you'll be able to make a rapid fire button and you wouldn't need to spam at all :)

I always played rogue as assassination... and I am having a hard time to figure out how to deal damage as subtetly, there are so many skills to use in a regular basis, that is overwhelming lol maybe you could land a video on sub rogue tricks, and some small combos, for some situations when you don't have shadowblades available etc or just subtetly pvp gameplay in general. The macro worked for me until today and all it did was cast cold blood, but i found a resolution. For anyone having problems with the macro only casting cold blood. Try remove "(PvP Talent)" from the casts.
Yep! Definitely works, you just have to put some space inbetween each spell from the sequence! By the way I am contemplating on removing the shadow blades from the rotation, otherwise it works once in three minutes! :D
Yeah but this macro is not working without Shadow blades.. without SB there will be not enough combo points for eviscrates... i think with shadow blades on cd it is just better to do rotation by yourself. If it was just a joke then i am sorry and lol.

Yo! I'm sat at 180 ILevel, my reprimand initial hit is about a 3rd of yours for some reason, around 3/4k. Also, if the player is already in combat, the macro literally doesn't work at all for me, anyone know why?
Hey I'm not sure exactly. Are you running the conduit in your souldbind that increases ER dmg by 50%? Regardless, as of Tuesday (in several hours) they are nerfing ER dmg by 30%. As for the combat part of the macro I really don't know, my best bet is going through my pinned comment and maybe removing sblades/cold blood and pre-popping them manually! Good luck!

Im stumped on why it wont work??!! well it did the first time, then it didn't. I put in everything exactly like you have it, except the convenient ability i went vampire and put that in instead. And the test attack worked wonderfully. Waited the 3 minutes for shadow blades to come off cool-down. tried spamming it again.............. nothing................. no ability's go off at all.

You can remove Shadow Blades from macro if you want to spam it since putting Shadow Blades in makes macro usable only once in 3 minutes. Basically you can't use it with your Shadow Blades on cd.
Enjoy while you still can cuz it's for sure going to be nerfed

You can do it with all classes and spec just type like this " /castsequence Name of the spell. you can Hold shift then left click so you dont need to type in the name .
/castsequence Cold Blood(PvP Talent),other spell, you always give good explanations :)
Make sure to take the space out of shadowstrike in the macro otherwise you miss out on a lot of burst

Heat, try shift clicking the spell from the spell book into your macro! It will type it out exact!
This may have been covered in the 1.2k comments but reset=10 is not 10 sec after u press the button its 10 seconds after NOT pressing the button (if u tap it nonstop even if nothing happens it will never reset)

liking the videos..except when basing on the legendary choices some of us made..I play only 1 crazy one shot dance with 100% crit and it works great..
anyway - as a suggestion for the hearthstone > I set up mine in the covenant and use the dalaran one to go to > org > orobos ..takes 2 portals but I have access to the city and the covenant in 20 mins.
At renown 11 we'll get covenant specific hearths! Thanks for the support, and I never said anything really bad about MA! I think it's really cool, just definitely not a realistic high end arena Legendary. It owns in open world/dungeons/BGs/Torghast etc!

I tried to make a more simple version without big cool downs but it doesn't seem to work. The cheap shot goes off, then it casts Marked for Death, and nothing else

I like to divide it, so ill make two different macros like this:

Macro 2: /castsequence reset=10 Cheap Shot,Shadow Dance,Symbols of Death,Echoing Reprimand,Eviscerate,Marked for Death,Eviscerate,Cheap Shot,Shadowstrike,Eviscerate
Then ill pop the first macro giving me cold blood and shadow blades, then ill do the second one.
It should solve a lot of problems caused by cold blood and shadow blades.

One quick note, resert=t10 means that you have 10 seconds to press the button for each ability before it will reset. As in you can press the button once, wait 8 seconds and continue the sequence, but if you wait 11 seconds, then it will reset to teh first ability.

@@Palumor Great video btw! It was not to nit pick your video, just that I use multiple cast sequence macros, and it's nice to know for other classes that can't cc lock and you get kited. You want to have a longer reset=t30 for example so you can run them down to complete combos, IE: feral/rogue combo finishers and ret Verdicts. Wouldn't want the macro to reset a sequence that adds more combos and burns them.
Lastly, you can add /cast "cds" or /use 'potionts' after the sequence for any cds/trinkets eetc that you want to add for the burst that are off the global CD. Add a bit more damage.
I'm sure this turbo-aids won't get nerfed into oblivion on a hotfix at all. Enjoy it while it lasts.

@Jiminy Christmas There is no way MM is just as bad., not even close. We don't have any obviously broken legendaries. If you pay attention, you see us coming. It is not possible to do 40k with 2 shots. Can you get shredded by an MM, yes. Can we stun-lock you to death, no. Can you fight back, yes. MM has always been an apex predator in bgs and epic bgs... but we lack a lot of defensive maneuvers that cannot be countered instantly and easily. Everyone has a slow, or a gap closer, or multiple stuns. MMs are glass cannons, but right now, rogues have near impunity to surprise you, incapacitate you, and as shown here, kill you within literally 2 seconds and disappear/evade/smoke/etc.

I adapted a pretty good opener for PvE WITH LEGENDARY. I am hitting 7.5k dps for 100k damage at 184 ilvl with this... general idea is to maximize damage on the opener with legendary, then put up SnD + rupture + sepsis, then activate shadowblades and utilize vanish to have shadow blades active for DoTs and your crits off vanish.
/castsequence reset=30 Symbols of Death,Shadowstrike, Darkmoon Deck: Voracity,Eviscerate,Shadow Dance,Potion of Phantom Fire,Shadowstrike,Eviscerate,Shadowstrike,Shadowstrike,Slice and Dice,Shadowstrike,Shadowstrike,Rupture, Sepsis,Vanish,Shadow Blades

For anyone struggling to get the macro working, all you need to do is copy it directly from the description into a macro! It will NOT work if you don't have every single spell in the macro off of cooldown, do not pre-active Cold Blood either! Make sure you have WARMODE turned on so you can use Cold Blood! Make sure you are talented into the PvP talent Cold Blood and the normal talent Marked for Death! I feel like this might be stopping the macro from starting if you're not in a PvP area!
OR - TRY this one without cold blood!

To add in an on use trinket there would you just say "use 13" in the place in the order you want it? I have the inscrutable quantum device that does about 10k damage when used under 20% health and would love to add it into the rotation at the second cheap shot

Hey mate, would love to see a video on how you manage your damage when you abilities are on CD. How you can consistently do damage and with prioritising abilities. Sometimes it can feel like you have no impact when in a bg or arena
I definitely just play around burst windows and recognize my downtime is crappy dmg, in terms of 3v3 that is. That feeling is pretty normal as a sub rogue, I'd say anytime you have Sdance off CD you can do some heavy damage though!

I have the macro copy pasted, and it gets hung up after MFD. It just sits there with 5 combo points and does not continue, also I tried to add in the use of a trinket (for more burst) and that hung it up as well. Any ideas as to why it would not be working lol?

macro wont work i copied it from the description but i cant figure out why it wont work all my cooldowns are off of cooldown and i didnt pre activate cold blood either my warmode is also turned on in the video it shows 194 characters are used in the macro but when i copy it from the description it only says 192 characters so im not sure what the 2 characters im missing could be when i use the macro it activates cold blood but does nothing else even when i spam it can someone help

@@Palumor yah thats honestly my most used finisher for pvp. But useless in keys and such. Need something as powerful without the kyrian. Also with the kyrian nerf and sub nerf that just happened today i wonder how many will dip on kyrian althogether.
I use gnome sequencer for cast sequence on my ret pally mixed with razer software it works a treat...if you are using a razer or any "gamer" mouse you'll be able to make a rapid fire button and you wouldn't need to spam at all :)

I always played rogue as assassination... and I am having a hard time to figure out how to deal damage as subtetly, there are so many skills to use in a regular basis, that is overwhelming lol maybe you could land a video on sub rogue tricks, and some small combos, for some situations when you don't have shadowblades available etc or just subtetly pvp gameplay in general.

The macro worked for me until today and all it did was cast cold blood, but i found a resolution.
For anyone having problems with the macro only casting cold blood. Try remove "(PvP Talent)" from the casts.

Yeah but this macro is not working without Shadow blades.. without SB there will be not enough combo points for eviscrates... i think with shadow blades on cd it is just better to do rotation by yourself. If it was just a joke then i am sorry and lol.

Yo! I'm sat at 180 ILevel, my reprimand initial hit is about a 3rd of yours for some reason, around 3/4k. Also, if the player is already in combat, the macro literally doesn't work at all for me, anyone know why?
Hey I'm not sure exactly. Are you running the conduit in your souldbind that increases ER dmg by 50%? Regardless, as of Tuesday (in several hours) they are nerfing ER dmg by 30%. As for the combat part of the macro I really don't know, my best bet is going through my pinned comment and maybe removing sblades/cold blood and pre-popping them manually! Good luck!

Make sure the macro is on your bar when in stealth and not in stealth. If its only on bar while in stealth then is will stop after cheap shot

Everything needs to be off CD and they will go in order.
Im stumped on why it wont work??!! well it did the first time, then it didn't. I put in everything exactly like you have it, except the convenient ability i went vampire and put that in instead. And the test attack worked wonderfully. Waited the 3 minutes for shadow blades to come off cool-down. tried spamming it again.............. nothing................. no ability's go off at all.
Try /reload for you UI to refresh! Or take out cold blood and sblades
