Why aren't they in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? They were pretty much one of the few American bands that consistently had hits on the charts during the British Invasion and their look helped pave the way for a lot of bands who wanted to go onstage wearing costumes.
Bon Jovi’s in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame Bruce Springsteen’s in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame make sure wonder who’s running the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame the Raiders should be in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame

I think Pauls comedy act trashed their credibility. Its really insipid. Yeah too bad did'nt happen while they were alive although the hall of fame is garbage.
Great interview - I just love Mark. His new CD, "Life Out Loud" is fantastic, every single song. BUY IT - you will love it! Anyway, I love the interview - it is just so sad, knowing that Smitty and Drake are gone. :(
Last time I checked the Raiders were still not in the Hall of Fame er Hall of SHAME. What a joke Jann Wenner needs to take a hike, guess they weren't hip enough for that freaking HIPPIE/YUPPIE. R I P Smitty and Drake. Saw em live in 66 and they were even better live .
It was billed as Mark Lindsay (former lead singer for Paul Revere & The Raiders) with special guests Fang, Drake, & Smitty. The interviewer didn't have a clue.
I was at one of these 'reunited Raiders' concerts and it was one of the best I ever went to. Good solid R'n'R by guys that knew how to do it. I met Mark a few years later and enjoyed a brief visit with him.
Raider Rooter 1967. I own all the albums...and I search for everything ...thank you for the uploads. Its sad no full concerts aren't available... This is my all time favorite band!!! I love all the recording Raiders!!!
My brother and I used to get up early on Sunday morning in the late 60's, put on a 'spiritual' choir TV show, turn off the sound, and play Raiders records to them. Saw Revere and his group (at the time) in 2012 or so, and it was pretty sad. Other than Paul, the longest-term member of the band had been with him for 12 or 17 years, so none of the originals left by a mile. They mostly did very short versions or medleys, there was maybe one entire song performed, and Paul filled in a lot of the time telling funny (and sometimes off-color) stories. Not quite the experience of seeing Paul McCartney and his band by a mile. But the Raiders were a big part of my grade school years and I am thankful to them for the fun and TV shows and music.
Totally agree. When one thinks of the glaring omissions in the RRHOF, Paul Revere is near the top. Others still waiting their ticket the be punched include: The Zombies, THe Moodies, and Neil Sedaka......completely absurd
You're absolutely right! I don't understand myself how this Rock n' Roll Hall of Shame can ignore one of the best 60's bands and nominate bands who are nothing more than crap! I also agree that the Zombies should be in there with so many others, who have given us some of the greatest music!
Gary Hoffman Arthur Lee and Love . Simply on the strength of Forever Changes . Also as a sidenote I continually say Paul Revere and the Raiders are the most misunderstood band in all of rock ‘n’ roll. Without Paul, they aren't the Raiders. They did have the most great hits, they were the most popular, but Paul made them. He was their manager, he was their financial advisor, he booked the venues, his name really was Paul Revere Dick. He hired them, not the other way around. He wrote their early hits.
@@maryromanek6683 He may have been the best front man of the 60's, maybe better than Jagger. But he had problems that couldn't be worked out. He wanted to be a solo star but still sing the Raider hits without permission. It went to court, Paul won.

No longer in the group??? God the band has been going since the early 60s, this was just a reunion show. I know the original guys are good, although not the real originals, anyways Paul Band has been together many many years and lasted longer than the original guys. This guy needs to have his facts straight!.

Paul continued the band after Smitty Drake Fang quit in 1967, and Mark left in 1975. Paul kept the band going right up till his death in 2014. RIP Paul, Smitty, Drake, Carlo.
When did Smitty and Drake leave US ?? I happened to be watching the news after our Broncos W over AZ and saw it in the scroll that Paul died (yesterday ). I saw what was the group at our local Denver Oldies radio 1st Kool Koncert 1988 and then a few times at other ones since then.( Now this station has upgraded to late 60s~80s music and still sponser those era concerts).

Most honor programs are buy in. You have to send them the money up front to be considered. Possibly a record company juicing sales.
