I pray you both love doing this for a long time, it feeds the soul! Heartfelt thanks to you both with FULL appreciation of what you're doing. Regarding this conversation, if we restate it as the fight over the power to determine when to bring life into being, it takes a whole new dimension. "Western" culture can't allow this for women, because it allows them no true direct power. And when what you're fighting for is a white man's privilege, you're going to leave out black women because it's part and parcel to do so.

My grandfather Henry Brown Sr , his twin brother George and his elder brother Oliver all were Pullman Porters out of Texas. He lived in California during the work week and traveled back up to Portland for the weekends where my grandmother and the children lived.
They started working for Union Pacific in the early 40’s, left to fight in WWII, came back and retired in the early 80’s.
My grandfather also worked at an exclusive retreat in California who’s membership included ex presidents and Fortune 500 heads of companies.
When my grandfather passed, the head of Hewlett Packard paid all his funeral costs and held a private reception at his home in San Francisco for my family. We also received a letter/card which was signed by all living presidents and Fortune 500 heads as of 1993.
My grandfather and his brothers were given prime routes because their father had been a private butler to a President who’s name currently escapes me. I believe it was FDR. My mom has several pictures of him serving the President. Of course he got his position because he “passed” the “paper bag” test.

I wonder why they don't understand that the very people they are trying to stop from having abortions are the very ones that will always be able to get one if they really want it.

"I need us to stop being black face versions of whiteness." - Professor Karen Hunter. Karen, when you sparked Dr. Carr to speak on the colorism and social eugenics that goes on in the black community, specifically when it comes to who we choose to date and mate with.... whew.... "Its not a polite conversation to have."
"It is a wonder all black people in America are not insane." - Dr. Greg Carr

“B*llSh”t…In the History of rule making!” That was huge for Dr. Carr to say! Wow! Watching Dr. Carr explain the Law in terms of profound-anthropology- that lawmakers can “paint themselves in a corner” that will produce a singularity of behavior and ideology, showing the game, and undo their divinity in power! Wow! Dr.Carr is a torch!

Professor Karen, I am very appreciative of the segments, I love getting educated, religion teaches about transforming the spirit and soul and from just setting and listening to the teachings of Dr. Carr and lot of it is just being re-educated, there is no magic prayer we need to be re-educated. I am a different person since listening to the teachings Professor Karen. I must confess when I first listen to Dr. Carr my head exploded but over time I was able to ingest and digest the teachings, I even bout a few of the books. Professor Karen I bout "Parable of the Sower" I saw it in your back ground. I read part of the first chapter and stopped because it pulled at my spirit and the world back ground scene pulled at my soul. Thank you Professor Karen and Dr. Carr. I purposely look for segments from You and Dr. Carr.

    Prof Hunter/Dr Carr,
Some kind of way, you both find new ways if outdoing yourselves. This is so awesome I can hardly contain it. Fantastic.
This discussion reminds me of a trip I took with the African Genesis Institute to a church in Detroit which had an Underground Railroad simulation they did on Saturday’s in their basement. A slave actor walked up to us and asked if we were here for that train. He says I’m surprised you are going this time of year. I asked why? He says because lakes and rivers are frozen and easier to cross. (Light bulb). Say what! I never thought about that. Same reaction as you had. Ding! Ding! Ding!
Keep going when you hear those dogs. Keep going!

As a New Yorker living in the Dallas area. I was surprised by the number of Black conservatives that DO NOT engage in politics and or attend churches that are extremely conservative striving for multicultural congregations (ie The Lord will supply all my needs). If you closed your eyes they sound like a typical Fox News viewer. Meanwhile First Baptist and other white churches are extremely political.

Yes indeed, a labor of love. I tell you we are today still fighting colorism. I think it may take a few generations to rid that from our brains. The term good hair, yellow, etc has probably increased desires in bedding others. Well, it has to be acknowledged, explored, addressed, evaluated, etc. Love and peace to the light, ponder that one.

If you go to the 45 minute mark Dr. Carr states his mother's, mother's father was Alabamian. That means his great great grandfather descends from an American tribe, Nation, and The Creek Confederacy. How is it that once we know our lineage we jump right back into Black, Afro American, People Of Color etc, and dishonor our lineage, bloodline and ancestors? When we don't honor our lineage it allows others to claim our inventions, land, resources, and identity this is a serious issue that we must discuss as a people. Immigrants first generation are jumping off boats and claiming land, our identity and remixing our culture and we say we're from Africa brought on slave ships. We must really devote time to finding out about our lineage the U.S. Government is less than 250 years old. Great Video!!!!! Let's keep reclaiming our lineage and using the (momentum of memory as Dr. Carr states)
