Since rats chewed through the windshield washer fluid hose at the base of the reservoir on my 2020, I’ll be using this vid to help with the repair. Thanks man! 🤙
Lot of guys say you can reach through the fender liner for the lowers and remove battery and top of washer tank for the uppers. Half tempted to install better halogens or moderate led's myself. For four headlamps lit at once the beam pattern in my 17 sucks and half the people on the road think your brights are on. And yes, I have checked the alignment...
Just bought 3 duties for the firehouse. Had to remove the whole front end to upfit them. Headlights, grill, grill support and core support. Also seats headliner interior trim.
I did an upgrade to LED on my 12 super duty. Was looking at it and was thinking how in the heck do you get to the back of the bulbs. So opened up my cheap manual. And all it says was remove grill. Awh that sucks.but youtube it. And it wasn't bad at all really. I have the grill out a few times since. It takes about 10 minutes to remove. The 20 models seem ok just a few more bolts to remove. Great video ARod.
I’ve done this a couple of times putting some LED lights in. It’s not that hard. Although there are some differences with the ‘17 and the ‘20 grills like the first 2 bolts you took off and the trim tabs.
Hi Aaron, great vid. An idea for another vid is how to remove the wheel hub cap on 2017+ Super Duty Dually. That cheap tool that comes with the truck is a crapshoot. Just picked up my 2021 F-450 Plat.
Great video would love to put leds in 2016 superduty but dread pulling out all the parts to get to the headlights wish Ford made it alittle better to get to instead of pulling all that apart. Thanks ARod
on the 2020 XLT and STX grill the two 10mm on bottom front are accessed by removing the entire narrow chrome plastic piece instead of the little black covers. It just snaps off and it scares you when those plastic things pop loose.
2011 grilles have way to many clips that will break off. These new ones have more bolts but more secure. I knew it was 13mm😆 do the new trucks have 4.5mm and 5mm dash screws? LEDs are the way to go. Many options online, skip the over priced dealrship ones. I've been using Novsight brand. Haven't changed a bulb in the truck or motorcycles now for 7 years. Bikes are large enduro style and riding trails is hard on halogens.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod I agree very much and appreciate the response sir. Just some nonsense I've heard online and read. They can void fuel system warranty like if our beloved CP4 dies... lol 😆
Guy, that CP4 only dies cuz you ALL out there(not callin you out) do not keep up on fuel system maintenance bottom line. Its either shitty fuel or stooopid you know whats adding DEF!!
Your doing headlamps...im doing another 3.5 eco boost timimg cover leak in the same spot as the other ones ...right bank s curve...lack of sealant....again from the factory...lol. Job security.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod in the vijao you said you had a link to a vid replacing halogen with LEDs. Do you have that??? Keep up the good work, former Chevy Mechanic (40 years ago). Drive an 18 350 dually, so always interested in the Alumiduty videos...

I love the look of those headlights but my old 77 f150 is so much easier lol, great video 👍 😁

I remember when I could put on my “good Sunday grille” on the 03’ with 4 phillips head screws in like 5 mins, ah the good ol’ days. Miss that 7.3.

Do the headlight bolts still screw into those plastic/teflon blocks that are easy to strip out? I’ve stripped out several on my 13
Think so...
Good video been wanting to swap the xlt lights out. How's the godzillas doing you all getting feed back from them?
So far so good except for that one 👀👀👀 be we good now🙏☝☝😁😁

I miss how my grill just came up with the hood on my 2011 F150
2017 to 2019. Is different. Less screws and more clips for the 2017 thru 2019.
Oh WOW! I hope I don't have to do that too many times. I don't want to break those tabs.
I got chu. WE NEED YOU ON THE PODCAST RODRIGO!!! Powerstroketechtalkwarod@gmail.com
Are those grill mounting warning lights factory? Are they turned on with the up fitters or other way?
Correct, w/up fitters
On a side note. If I install a 50 gal Titan Fuel tank would Ford void the warranty?
Why would Ford void the warranty....if u change ur tire out that came with it, would they then....
